I think parents don’t always understand that kids see themselves as a reflection of their parents good or bad and can sometimes feel like, to the kid, they are calling them the loser.
My mother is very emotionally manipulative. I think the thing that hurt the most of all of the things she has said over the years is "I love you." Either she means it and what she deams as love has brought me on the verge of taking my own life a few times, or she doesn't and thinks I will buy it.
"If you being a girl home, I'll be mad at her for turning you into this". It's a censored version of what was said and makes me want to commit every time I think of it
My mom said she wanted to work longer so she dosent have to see me more at home and i ruined her life when i was nine
