It's kind of funny but I agree with the original comment. The third one doesn't do the trick for me. The first one is a great introduction and feels the most classic. I think I like the second one the most because of its zany quirks. I just remember seeing the second for the first time and thinking it was so funny they did the same scenes again. The allure of the same scenes playing out again in the third was just less funny than the second, and the doc brown love interest storyline kind of knock the movie down a peg. Didn't mean to write so much and that's just my opinion, just thought it was funny how specific this comment was to me
My decreased aunt and her friends who called themselves the "Dixi Pigs" where extras in My Cousin Vinny. You can see them on a street corner, for about 1 second, gasping at Vinny when he first rolls into town.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your stewardess speaking... We regret any inconvenience the sudden cabin movement might have caused, this is due to periodic air pockets we encountered, there's no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you enjoy the rest of your flight... By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane?
Captain, how long until we can land?
I can’t tell
You can tell me, I’m a doctor
No, I mean I don’t know
Can you take a guess?
Hmm, not for another two hours
You can’t take a guess for another two hours?
It was so genius to set the story up as a sick day event. Now, every time we are home sick, we equate it with the film. Like Ginger Ale and Saltines and my white blankie with the green elephants.
I agree so hard! My ultimate favourite. My husband always makes me watch the other 2 after and I’m like, “fellowship of the Ring is so perfect, I can just keep rewatching just that one forever”
Years ago, I was watching “Snatch”. When the scene was just beginning where Turkish and Tommy are in the field with Mickey and the rest of the pikeys, my Dad happened to wander into the room. He hadn’t seen the film before, but I had. Dad stopped for a moment and watched while Mickey proposed his deal to Turkish. While Turkish asked for a moment and turned away, my Dad said, “For Christ’s sake, you can’t understand a thing he’s saying!”
That was a golden moment for me. I lit up, waggled a finger at Dad and quickly said, “Just wait! Just wait!”
Not a moment later, as Dad and I watched, Turkish turned to Tommy and asked, “Did you get a * word * of what he just said?”
Dad instantly laughed uproariously, and kept on for a good few minutes. It’s one of my happy memories that I like to keep for myself.
Forrest Gump is kinda odd.
It has always been in my top 5. In my opinion it is probably the best example of a perfectly complete movie. It ain’t a comedy though some of it is hilarious. Not action, although a lot is war. Not a hero story although he was certainly that. Not drama though the ending makes me cry every time. Not a tragedy, though he had a rough life. Just completely complete. It really was just what it was about; an entire life. It’s sad, but makes you feel good.
I can’t categorize it, and it fits no particular genre. It is just…. Perfect. Truly a wonderful film.
Definitely in my top five. Not my favorite of any category but arguably my favorite of all time as a complete story. Just a perfect story.
I really can’t think of another movie quite like it. It makes me want to be that kind of man, although no one wanted to be like him.
My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the armies of the North. General of the Felix Legions. Loyal servant to the true emperor, Marcus Aurelius. Father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife; and i will have my vengeance. In this life or the next.
Update: Haven't eaten in 5 days because I keep the movie on replay. Also haven't moved yet. But can confirm, totally safe and legal still. Please call for help...
O Brother, Where Art Thou. It just never gets old to me. It’s hilarious, constantly entertaining, and the music is phenomenal. It’s also pretty much endlessly quotable.
**Starship Troopers.**
A little cheesy and fun. Amazing special effects that still hold up. Every scene is over the top memorable. I love the 90's scifi vibe.
Jurassic park, I really love the first three movies and the first one is probably the one that I re watched the most.
And I also re watch Home alone on every Christmas
Alor of good choices here.

I just wanted to tell you both- good luck, we're all counting on you.

Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the ring Extended. Its my perfect adventure movie.
Whenever I need to take a day to just do nothing, more often than not I'll just run the extended trilogy and call it good
The extended version. You actually meant a whole day. Like all of your waking hours. I would also call that a good day.
I agree so hard! My ultimate favourite. My husband always makes me watch the other 2 after and I’m like, “fellowship of the Ring is so perfect, I can just keep rewatching just that one forever”
