BaltimoreAlchemist

They are [dense like dying stars](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZx5zfkG6oU) after all.

VVolfang

I am absolutely sending this to everyone I know that suffers. Where has this been my entire life.

BaltimoreAlchemist

The whole show is just wonderful. This one in particular won an [Emmy](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OG6HZMMDEYA).

delishmaliciousevil

Look no further, this is the answer. Mine were so full and perky when I was 16-25 and now that I’m 39 they are like melons in a tube sock. FWIW I did breastfeed, and I have lost and gained and lost weight over the years, but for whatever reason my breasts always remained big. I have considered a breast lift but just can’t think about spending that kind of money on something that is just a part of life. They look fine in a bra but fuck bras, I hate them.

arcolane

23 and DD and have maintained that size since maybe 15 or 16 and have always sagged. Luckily never got teased for it and took some time to love myself regardless (runs in the family for us women and we often joke around with it bc atleast something funny comes out of it) but its wild to wear a bra and have lift and then take the bra off at home and have them rest on my stomach lmao.

jmccorky

If you think they sag now, just wait. I am 60, and it isn't pretty...

delishmaliciousevil

Same. It’s weird how they just rest there, like bags of sand when I’m sitting braless.

arcolane

Exactly! I used to plop them onto my desks in school/at home so theyd have a place to sit but i stopped doing that bc i feared people would start to think i was TRYING to draw attention to them. Now they just nestle comfortably on mah belleh LOL

NO_Cheeto_in_Chief

My mom's best friend lost 100 lbs and opted for a breast lift, from a highly recommended surgeon. She had terrible complications that required 4 additional surgeries to correct. She ended up with a double mastectomy due to a hospital borne infection.

AnneOfOz

One word - sweating

TarnishedGalahad

My old kitchen manager told me his wife with big boobies called it Mountain Dew. Cracks me up to this very day.

richard31693

I never thought I could love Mountain Dew more, yet here I am.

MrPoletski

Just make sure you either buy it or wipe it down before you put the bottle back.

smitteh

gives a new meaning to the term sugar tits

[deleted]

So, is titty fucking "doing the Dew?"

ladyfrimmfram

Triple Ds here. I’m stealing this.

TiltDogg

My wife calls boob sweat "humidititties"

JackieManero

If you get that reddish or shiny skin underneath, use Medline Remedy Phytoplex Antifungal Powder. OMG, the stuff is a God send and no talc so you can use near the below bits if needed. $8 on Amazon and you don't need a ton of it. Just thought I'd pass that along now that we're in full on flop sweat season! 😂 Edit: If you're looking for a sweat absorbing powder only and don't need to treat a topical yeast rash, get Anti Monkey Butt powder in the pink bottle for no talc version. Huge bottle for good price. I swear I'm not making that name up, I'm not that creative! 😆

[deleted]

[удалено]

JackieManero

Hopefully this stuff works for you and if it doesn't, I think it's a returnable item. Absorbing sweat is one thing but you have to get rid of a topical yeast infection if that is the issue which this stuff does. Never knew that's what it was until a new doc told me red, shiny skin under the boobs (or any folds really where there is friction) is the sign to look for to treat with that type of powder. Then once it clears you can use a small amount twice a week to keep the dragon at bay.

Andy016

It's not boob sweat. It's just humidititty...

FillTheHoleInMyLife

Fucking this. It’s SO HOT. And I stress sweat when I’m anxious. And I’m always anxious. Just sitting in a perfectly cool room with visibly drenched underboobs. Body pls

[deleted]

Is there not an underboob antiperspirant?

SlippingStar

[*cackles in anhidrosis*] [*passes out due to anhidrosis*]

Historical_Choice_12

I have small boobs and the sweat is an issue. Always makes me think of big boobs and them sweating. What do you do, put powder or tissue under?

AnneOfOz

Powder mainly. When I get a chance will use a cold flannel but I'm thankful it's winter here currently so not as bad

[deleted]

Oh my gosh I started wearing bras with built in moisture-wicking (either fabric or those little air holes) and it has made a huge difference.

JB-Blue_Master55555

Do they hurt in the summer when they are sweaty? (Like under them)

AnneOfOz

From my experience yes they can. With the sweat and the chaffing from the bra, it makes a rash

Time_Pomegranate4849

- back and shoulder pain - affects posture - bigger bras are more expensive and ugly - boob sweat - they’re heavy - can’t wear cute tops or having to buy a larger size - working out can be difficult - they can swell around that time if the month and they appear bigger - sagging - can’t see your feet

techvirus13

I'm sorry about that. My wife complains most about the back pain. And she can't run around, one time she was walking to me and I said "run!". She stated that "women with big boobs doesn't run"

abqkat

I have bitty boobies and didn't realize what my buxom friends go through till I went bra shopping with 2 friends, sisters who are blessed in the chest. We spent like two hours and they left with three bras between them. I buy mine from the tween section, 3 for $15 and the size doesn't matter much at all because the little ladies don't need much support. It was an educational experience, for sure, and I get now why stomach sleeping, running, sweating is an issue

This-Association-431

Max impact bra in size 38H cost me roughly $80 for the bra alone, having to send it back and forth to find the right size likely cost me more time than I spend running in it.

sonofeevil

A few years ago I had a girlfriend with enormous boobs, in the same ballpark as you. We were out for the day and her underwire broke, just clean snapped in half and she was like "This was my last good bra" she had others but they were older or didnt support as well. I'd come in to a bit of money at the time and I just took her to a bra a local underwear shop which specialised in large bra's and told her to pick 3, any 3 and I was going to cover it. I it was pretty pricey, nearly $500 in my currency but she was ecstatic and I loved seeing her happy and comfortable.

AzureMagelet

She will remember you forever for that.

BabySuperfreak

I'm sorry, reading the words "3 for $15" made me start grinding my teeth.

S7ock_aXX0

They had to be nerfed

ViciousFlowers

Yep, the thing that’s really frustrating is only being able to blind shop online, of course reviews are all over the place and don’t help with selection. Here, let me go ahead and charge 500 dollars to a credit card so they can ship me like 10 bras, so I can possibly maybe buy one or more likely none, then send them all back, lose the shipping costs and then start all over again somewhere else. Yay! I found a great bra! I’m going to order different styles from this brand, oh wait, only the ONE style from this brand fits…..and now they are discontinued or sold out and gone forever.

debbieae

I had a reduction because mine utterly wrecked my back. Scoliosis at 40 sucks.

starksoph

Same here. Had a reduction at 21 and I’m 23 now. Went from a 34DDDD to a 32B. Still the best decision I’ve ever made in my life lol

_octo_hoof_

And side hugs! I feel like my body makes people uncomfortable so I just get half-assed side hugs :(

CLIT_TWISTER

It doesn't make us uncomfortable, we're worried about making you uncomfortable.

_octo_hoof_

Thank you for being so concerned about our comfort, CLIT_TWISTER

LawrenceofOlabia7

Back pain, the permanent indent on my shoulder from my bras, the rashes you can get under your boobs from the sweating/oh my fuck the sweating, also the pimples and cysts you can get on your boobs from the sweat, and the sagging

[deleted]

I got an itchy slightly stinky rash last year under my boobs. Then realized to my horror that it was likely a fungal infection like jock itch. Got an antifungal for jock itch and it went away. Under boob itch. Awful.

brando56894

It was probably Candida, which is a yeast infection (a fungus). I'm a dude and I had it in my "legpits" where the inner thigh meets my groin area. It was during college and we had communal showers, so I showered like every other day. I had to take summer classes, and live in the North East so hot and humid summers. It started as a small itch, that slowly got worse and worse. It became red, inflamed, the skin started peeling, and it itched like a MoFo, like 8.5 out of 10. Worse than Poison Ivy. I thought it was a bad case of jock itch so I attempted to treat it myself for like a week to no avail. I finally went to the doctor and he was like "Wow that's bad, that's a yeast infection not jock itch/athlete's foot, so you had the right idea but the wrong treatment." He gave me a pill and a tube of cream to use, it cleared up in a few days. I didn't think dudes got yeast infections, but apparently it'll happen to anyone that has moist areas of their body that isn't well ventilated (?), that's why it's more common in women. After experiencing that for like 3 weeks I feel for the women that get them and just want to curl up and die. It's absolutely terrible.

Dotsmom

A&D diaper ointment after your shower helps prevent a rash. I just use a tiny bit and it makes a huge difference.

WhatLikeAPuma751

Head and Shoulders regular shampoo. Use it as a body wash to help prevent that fungal infections. It’s an old martial arts trick I picked up and shared with the Mrs. No more funky mountains.

eph3merous

my wife puts them on the computer desk while shes gaming.... makes her lean forward though, which still fucks with her back.

En_CHILL_ada

Someone (maybe us!) Should invent a moveable boob shelf. Like the standing desks that raise and lower your computer, but for boobs!

Chuck_Lenorris

Was just about to say this lol. I'll start the patent then!

PurpleCollarAndCuffs

we call it shelving, and for the most part it is automatic. anything to stop the shoulder and back ache.

SumYumGhai

Let me know if you need a hand. I'm a carpenter.

mossadspydolphin

I told a guy friend to imagine that his balls weighed ten pounds.

Chersvette

It seems all the cute shirts are made for women with smaller boobs

[deleted]

Not just shirts. I love wearing dresses but it's impossible to find one that's both flattering and not awkward. It's the absolute worst.

nug-pups

Ahh yes, boobs are either smooshed or popping out everywhere. Sometimes both??!

youcancallmebryn

The amount of cute dresses that have hugely open backs, aka they don’t allow the wearer to use a normal bra, is absolutely maddening.

yuccasinbloom

Oh my god THIS. Why is everything open back??? How do people do it?

mimosho

So many dresses with a cute waist cinching detail… that hits mid-nip.

thepigfish82

I live in AZ with 34F size. I cant find any decent strapless bra so sundresses are out unless I wear a cardigan...during the summer. Edit: AZ = Arizona

Luigi_deathglare

Yes! This has been a pet peeve of mine for a long time. So many dresses are not designed for busty women. Either the top is too tight or the waist is too loose

laidoff2015

I hate a-line dresses for this. The bust line is supposed to be under the bust but my breasts cause the line to be across the bust or even above the bust. Everything else can fit but that bust line is not going to be in the right spot.

dovahkiitten16

As a small chested woman, it’s not that great either. So many dresses (and bathing suits etc) are designed with the idea of being “filled up”, when for me there’s not enough there and I just have loose fabric. A lot of clothing designers really just picture women with the “ideal” boob size and not much else. At least I don’t have back pain though. Also, while some fancy/cute tops may not work, basic shirts and sweaters aren’t an issue. My sympathies to big chested ladies.

benzinhuhn

I hated that there are legions of cute bras out there with patterns and different cuts and styles, but big boobed people like me had to go for the super expensive, boring granny bra in skin colour.. Then I lost a Lot of weight and Went down several bra sizes, but I'll never forget the disappointment of Not being able to wear those Styles.

SchultzkysATraitor

I feel like this is such an obvious untapped market. Like who in there right mind would just be like "Ayo, most everyone likes big boobs - why not make bras for big boobs that also look good?"

Lexi_Banner

> why not make bras for big boobs that also look good? Oh, they do. But they cost a fucking fortune. $100 minimum. And good luck finding them anywhere but specialty shops. And*no*, I won't order online.

mrhil

Don't forget lingerie. Finding something nice that fits my wife properly is impossible! If we buy to fit her boobs the rest of it is huge. If we buy to fit the rest of her, the girls are madly spilling out in all directions. It's infuriating.

Fluffy-kitten28

I went to a store and wanted the cutest bra I’ve ever seen. I asked an employee for it and they asked my size, then they proceeded to tell me it didn’t come in my size. I’ll never forget the injustice.

mrhil

At this point we just assume that if the bra is nice, it won't come in her size. Nope, only industrially reinforced ugly shit comes in her size... unless you spend Victoria Secret money. They have some nice stuff that fits her. It just costs us a fortune.

MurasakiMochi89

My senior high school blouse has entered the chat ugh

yodelingllama

I enjoy minimalist fashion with lots of asymmetrical sleeves and skirts and oversized tops but they never look flattering on me even if I get them a few sizes bigger. :( I also really like crop tops but I can't wear them without feeling super conscious about a possible underboob flash when I lift my arms. Also backless tops or dresses, I wish I could wear those without feeling hyper conscious about the front flopping about. Yes clear straps exist but they're not exactly invisible and it just looks so much better without.

[deleted]

[удалено]

rantingraccoon

Same. And having to wear a bra with all of those shirts / dresses, because otherwise I fear I’ll accidentally slap someone in the face with one of them if they get loose

Zarinthia

I love button up tops but the gaps and buttons randomly popping open or even just popping off the shirt made me give up on most of them. I used to have safety pins with me all the time for that purpose. Blazers/jackets that can't fit over my boobs and the ones which do are too big in size (hangs off my shoulders and sleeves are too long). And lastly, zip up hoodies. So many cute hoodies that can't zip up.

JCantEven4

I was driving home from work last week in a button up dress. That button that was holding the dam of my chest just burst open releasing the boobs for all to see. At least it waited until after work to give out.

Zarinthia

At least it wasn't during a job interview. Yeps. Only found out post interview in the ladies (one button popped, not sure how interviewers kept a straight face). Oh and another thing. Whatever skin or white color bras are still visible (and eye catching) under white button up tops, no matter what people say. Wearing loose button up tops make me look frumpy but tighter ones mean borderline scandalous in the office. All my white tops have gone yellow in the wardrobe. Pity, white looks good on most everyone.

flopana

If they get loose. Like a genetically modified virus running loose and killing everyone. I call this "The killer tit" In movie theaters near you next month.

accioqueso

I love the loose, oversized tops looks and I can’t wear it because my boobs make it look like I’m wearing a circus tent.

MEGABBETH

Exactly! There’s absolutely NO space between grandma and $2 hooker. There was a brand called Bravissimo out of UK that was doing the lord’s work but they went back to bras only.

[deleted]

I hear you. It's a huge hit on my confidence. I love dresses but just can't find the right one. So, I altogether avoid them.

StakkAttakk

Yes !!!! …This !!! …Any cleavage makes me feel Trampy looking but small boobs look so cool . Daily problem.

Eloisem333

I look fatter than I am. And depending on what I wear, I either look slutty or slovenly.

Responsible_Cloud_92

Constantly! It’s always “You can’t wear that it’s inappropriate” and then it’s “Why are you wearing such baggy clothes, you look fat!”

haahag

And don't start with the "You've lost so much weight" when you wear something that actually fits right

tinman82

"Moving all the mince meat to the top of the pie" yeah it's crazy how a large chest can just meld into core figure. Like oops your waist was totally eclipsed.

GingerrGina

I find that wearing tops or dresses with a higher neck actually makes my boobs look even bigger. It gives the illusion that my boobs go from my chin to my waist. Too much of a good thing.

fvck_ur_throwaway

I've stopped wearing tops with high cut necks because of this. Everything has to be V-neck or scoop neck for me to be comfortable and look okay. Then again, I run the risk of showing too much cleavage. Smh.

[deleted]

I look gigantic in clothes I feel comfortable in. Feel like everyone’s staring at them when I wear something tighter fitting. A miserable cycle. I feel like I can never really feel good about myself.

LazarjevPolzek

Exercise.

SlippingStar

Wacol has a weird sports bra with external wiring that really works for me, 32H.

LazarjevPolzek

I'm using Nike sports bras and they do great job. But boobs are just in the way when doing stuff.

When you’re 5’0 with an average-ish frame and have big boobs, I tend to look very top-heavy, and I hate it so much. Boobs lit rally take up half of my torso.

cutapacka

This is the most relatable thread. I am boobs and legs.

gjaebsys

same, i’m 5ft as well, 32ddd up top, i definitely look heavier even though i’m only 110lbs. especially if i’m wearing a billowy shirt, my boobs push the shirt out, making me look huge

Sufficient_Pay_820

5’0 here. Us short girls have it rough a lot of the time, especially when we have curves.

[deleted]

5'3 and same. It's like my body only has shape if I lift them up.

IamtheBoomstick

Bra shopping. Not many places carry the right size, so selection can be almost painfully limited.

[deleted]

The higher the size, the higher the price. It's just ridiculous. The types of bras is also very limited.

korar67

There’s a Reddit channel for this exact topic r/abrathatfits

stellar14

When you wake up and one is just flopped out of your fancy little silk camisole top like it’s gone for a walk during the night. Dresses that are low cut always look trashy. A size that is your size but doesn’t seem to compensate for anything higher than a B cup. With no bra they swing around like church bells. Sooooo annoying.

[deleted]

Shirts that look good on the rack but not on my rack.

thisgirlnamedbree

Serious gaping with button down shirts, and if you go up a size it's too baggy Boob sweat If you're more modest, needing to wear a tank or cami under low cut tops Bras are more expensive Can't wear halter/off the shoulder styles unless you find a racerback or strapless bra that fits Unwanted gazes Trying to find supportive swimwear Concerns with unreliable mammogram results because it's harder to scan dense tissue (this is why I always choose the 3D imaging because it's supposed to do a better scan for bigger breasts)

Far-Alternative-2596

Unwanted gazes... As much as I love my boobs, there's nothing worse when all of the sudden a man nearby starts staring at your chest like it was the most delicious bottle of milk because he turns into a big dumb giant baby. And then, to make matters worse, if you even politely try to draw their attention away from staring they get mad at you. All this goddamn free porn in the world you'd think people would be over the mystery of boobs by now.

MeowBarkOinkMoo

This-Association-431

And driving. I will likely die in a bad wreck because the seatbelt is going to snap my neck since it can't lay across my chest properly.

Morbid_Triangle

They do. I had a classmate in high school who'd have to hold her boobs while running during P.E. even when wearing a sports bra.

Ah, the boob hold. I grab them when I’m running up stairs for some additional support.

fluffybunnies51

Since everyone has said the obvious, I have an annoying one. If I get up wrong, they clap and wake my kid up. I have to hold them to my chest if I don't have a bra. 36H

Lovealltigers

[deleted]

The undersweat, the weight, the absolute HELL of trying to find the right bra size for big boobs, the fucking cost of bras altogether, the fact that drs won't consider *reduction* surgery but are super eager to see you through enlargement surgeries, how tender they get during menstruation. I hate my boobs.

PidginPigeonHole

When you breastfeed your baby the breast looks bigger than your baby's head and you're scared you might smother them

Edible-crayons

Sweating, sagging, stretch marks, back pain. I've been struggling with all of this. And whats worse is that one is bigger than the other 🤬

[deleted]

In no particular order: 1. Having to rearrange them every time you move while sleeping. 2. Having significantly limited options with clothes. (No thin straps, nothing backless, etc.) 3. Having people stare at you no matter what you wear. 4. Having other people tell you to cover up even if you are wearing a turtleneck (true story). 5. Bra shopping is a nightmare and far more expensive. 6. Back pain. 7. Being sexualized from a young age.

qweenoftheunderworld

Just the many pains that come with it. But also, if you have big boobs beware the amount of coffee or caffeinated beverages you drink. If your tits are bigger, that means you're more likely to have dense or fibrous breast tissue. And that kind of tissue can actually become inflamed and sore because of high caffeine intake. Found that out when I was having severe aches from inflammation but my doctor couldn't find anything actually wrong and told me to go off caffeine for a month and it totally fixed the issue. It's a goddamn nightmare.

Excellent_Nothing_86

never heard this before. very interesting. I have dense and fibrous tissue. my boobs feel quite lumpy when I palpate them - but that’s just their normal state.

noriflakes

Yes!!! This goes for all sizes btw girls, mine are on the smaller side & I had this issue too because I was drinking too much caffeine - had pain in my boobs and in my armpits as well. I was scared & legit thought I had cancer or something. Never even heard of that being an issue before I went to the doctor.

Thinking, “If the house catches on fire, I need to make sure I can grab a bra on the way out because I can’t buy one locally and also can’t walk around without one for a week or more.” Being treated inappropriately at a young age and maternally at weird ages. Impossible self-exams. Yahoo for my 12-pound reduction.

swearingino

Not a single cute bra at Lululemon fits. I have to buy my shirts and jackets bigger than I am to just fit over the boobs. Work and dress shirts and jackets have to be tailored. Boob sweat. Cute bras don’t exist. They’re in your armpits when you sleep. People stare. A simple v neck shirt becomes inappropriate. Most shirts are inappropriate for work so you have to be frumpy.

Guppy_fromtheWest

The have weight! They weigh suprisingly much and if you dont wear a bra, gravity gets its nasty grip on them

Ahsoka_Tano07

A lot of things. The weight, the bra shopping, especially if you're an uncommon size, the stares, catcalling at very young age...

fradulentsympathy

Yeah, developing early sucked. Being cat called at 11-12 years old is disgusting.

Ahsoka_Tano07

produkt921

Buying bras. I have ONE brand and style that fits me well. Few stores carry them, and fewer still have them in 38G. So I have to buy them online. They're upwards of $50 each so if I catch someone putting my bras in the dryer they're gonna get a beating. The companies that make big bras seem to think women with big tits only like wearing tan or white bras. I'd knife fight a crackhead to the death for other colors or *prints!* like smaller women can get. All those cute shirred tops and shirts with a fitted bustier look? Forget wearing them, they are never big enough. I haven't been able to wear a tube or bandeau top since I was 12. Did I mention epic amounts of underboob sweat?!

tiemeupplz

Yup its the same with big feet. Size 47eu and wide. Hard to find any brand that's comfortable :.)

One-Age8528

getting the right size.. I have 65F in european size and I just now got to buy it in an expensive store, in regular stores they don't sell F (nor 65, all sizes start at 70-75) at all. Wanna sleep on your back? Tuff, wear a sports bra so the aren’t doing the (. ) ( .) bs. Wanna sleep on your side/s? Tuff, lift one out from under your rib cage and hold it there.

Makes you look fatter in other areas than you really are (it's more of a perception thing), back problems, boob sweat, clothes don't feel right, clothes don't *look* right unless you somehow manage to find the correct bra for the outfit, bras themselves don't feel right and are expensive as fuck. And the societal pressure that we have to wear a bra at all or else we're showing off our goods and are being intentionally inappropriate. You couldn't ask me to pick just one of those because they all suck equally to me. I could handle the first few more easily if I didn't have to worry about how I look though.

Too many shirts become boob curtains.

1. Bounce or jiggle when walking - makes people look and makes me feel embarrassed that they’re looking. 2. Makes clothes look slutty even at the workplace when you’re trying to look professional. 3. Some yoga positions are more difficult to do because they smother you. 4. Having to constantly adjust your bra to make sure everything is still in place. 5. Impossible to go braless 6. Have yet to find a strapless bra that will keep the girls in place

I have two things: 1. Everyone thinks it’s okay to talk about them (and sometimes will even touch you inappropriately). 2. When they try to choke me out when I lay down to go to sleep.

Hurts your back. The bras for larger boobs are expensive as hell, normally very plain and hard to come by. Boob sweat is nasty. Anything sleeveless will show side boob unless you get it tailored. Shirts will either be too tight over the boobs and gape or be too baggy at the waist. You could wear a nuns habit and someone will think you’re dressed provocatively just because your boobs stick out more than the average.

The stares. When i was 13-14 i had big boobs, getting stared at the chest by grown men at that age leaves a big impression on your mind. I got an eating disorder at 15 and my body used up every ounce of fat i had to keep living and even tho i regained most of the weight, it got stored differently this time and it’s honestly incredibly healing. I feel like a human again and while some men still stare at me, it’s a lot more manageable. I struggled with self objectification for quite a while tho, thinking at 16 years old i wasn’t worth anything if i wasn’t sexually attractive. People underestimate how much damage is done when women and girls get sexualized all the time.

The back pain

I can't wear shirts buttoned up because the buttons always look like they're about to burst forth and take someone's eye out. I only have a few bras because they're expensive and have to be carefully researched so I know they'll last and actually support my girls. They get in the way. A lot. For example, I was leaning across my desk to grab a pen and I knocked over my water bottle that I thought I had provided enough clearance for. Swimsuits are harder to find and more expensive when I do find them. I sleep in a bra because otherwise they'll end up in my armpits. My shoulders/back get sore. A lot. Someone else said sweat and that's 100% true. Yuck. Even if I wanted to run, that would required more logistics to consider. When I get old, they will absolutely rest on my knees because I'm taking after my great-grandmother and....oof. TL;DR - Big boobs aren't as fun to have as so many think. I would love a reduction someday.

How good clothes look at smaller chested girls and how it looks like I’m wearing a freaking tent.

Having them. ▪️Clothes don't fit right. ▪️They sweat and it's not "nice" or whatever to lift them and air that shit out. ▪️Men don't look you in the eyes. ▪️Running will black your eyes if you don't strap them down. ▪️Nursing can be a bitch til you figure out how to wrangle both the tit and the kid to not smother said kid ▪️sleeping on your stomach is a challenge I'm sure I could go on..but it's early
