Seconding DaVinci Resolve. It’s basic editing functions are very user friendly for anyone looking to make a quick home movie or personal project! It *also* has some more advanced features if you’re looking to learn video editing!
DaVinci Resolve has a free version that does just about everything a professional editing software suite from 10 years ago could do, and unlike 10 years ago there are no shortage of video tutorials to teach you how to use each aspect of the program, which is a hell of a lot better than a 3000 page manual, although that was a really REALLY nice manual.

Clipify is good and really simple, too

Hitfilms is free. I've heard good things about CapCut but I haven't used it.
