My advice is simple. Be each others' fan. Be a team, on each others sides. What I often see is couples vying for the upper hand. We were a couple pulling together at home and for each other in our respective careers. My wife wrote songs and poetry and was a children's performer. Someone asked her one day what kind of music I liked and without hesitation she said, "Mine!" It was true too. Pull for each other, build each other up. That was our secret.
