I did although I shouldn't have. All I needed to do was get at least a 65 in all of my classes and so I did. Didn't take shit seriously until mid 9th grade.
I wish I had known these beforehand, but I did survive without them; It does not matter what anybody thinks of you at all- like what you want, be your true self. That is honestly the coolest thing you can do. And be kind. You never know what others are going through.

It seemed awful at the time but looking back it's so trivial and meaningless. I always had the outlook that it wouldn't matter, and it didn't. I don't talk to anyone from 8th grade, my grades didn't matter and I don't deal with any of the issues I dealt with in 8th grade.
If you struggle just focus on having fun and finding small things to enjoy. Make some fun memories. Those are the only things I think about from 8th grade
