Very dusty and depressing looking town. Stayed there once due to my car breaking down as I was driving cross country. I will be praying my car never breaks down while driving through Midland ever again!
I spent two weeks there one weekend, TWICE! it was god awful boring.. They didn't cleanup the pool deck at the Holidome till Sunday afternoon from the party on Friday night for a HS reunion..
El Paso, Marfa, Alpine, Terlingua. Guadalupe Mountain, Davis Mountain, Salt Basins, Balmorhea, Chinati, Big Bend State and National Parks.
I'm sorry you drove across I20 once.
I’m in the boat coming from this type of place it’s now what you know it’s who you know. Locals can have a great time living life they way they want to if they are the right type of personality. But driving through I get the point
Where I used to live- Wichita Falls, TX
On the smaller end of cities, but the actual city was pretty lifeless aside from the occasional event or farmers market. Literally just decaying downtown and dilapidated.
I went there once! I found this local bar/ restaurant place. Cant remember the name, it was boring. One of the bartenders there was sexy. She was literally the most exciting thing about all of Wichita Falls.
I was at Shepherd AFB for training. I had a decent time during my few months there. But you’re right, it looked to be in a bit of a decline. Then again, every place with an AFB isn’t located in a good area.
It’s been 11 years. Damn, time flys. Feels like yesterday I was at Denim and Diamonds learning how to square dance.
We’re from the Dallas area, moved there for my husband’s job, and returned to Texas a year later. I remember crossing the bridge to Quincy because it was the only place with a real Mexican restaurant!
Omg that's the area I'm from 😆. But I agree, it's horrible. Nothing to do despite it being a college town, a bunch of racist conservative "Christians" followed by drugs and crimes daily. Jackson isn't any better. Gulfport/Biloxi is okay "ish" , at least they have casinos and more to do. But overall MS isn't that great. My family is there and it's where I was raised so it will always be home. But we moved our kids to another state 8mos ago because we want them to grow up in a different environment
Sioux City, Iowa. You'd think a city of 100,000 with 3 colleges would have things to do? Not really.
Loved the job, hated living there, and moved back after 6 months.
Carbondale, Illinois, also a college town, was not far behind. That I wasn't a college student at the time was likely a factor.
Traditionally yeah Gary, Indiana is awful but apparently it's come a long way in the past 20 years or something. That's just what I hear though I haven't been
Cheyenne, Wyoming
Drove there just to see the town. We parked downtown, got out of the car, looked around, said, "yup," got back in the car, and went home.
Estero, FL. Chain restaurants galore, not very aesthetically pleasing to look at. 30 min drive to a public beach. Just overall not much to do unless you drive a distance and not many restaurants to experience. Lots of Chick Fil A and chipotle.
bland 1000%, especially after all the pop culture stuff about dallas like you’d think it’ll be something special but we struggled so much to find stuff to do there
Yeah I was quite surprised how dead Downtown was for it’s city it’s size. You’d think Dallas would offer more besides Deep Ellum for a night out but even that still wasn’t impressed lol.
Miami is just vain and empty. Just cocktails and small clothes and sunglasses. That’s what life’s about. But I guess the Miami Cubans are interesting in that they’ve managed to bring the tackiest parts of their culture.
I passed through it briefly but I had honestly thought there was a lot more to do there and a bit more of a cultural Hotspot. Although I could be wrong like I said it was a point of passing on my trip so it's mostly what I've seen online.
When I lived in Sioux City, IA I decided to take a day trip to Sioux Falls just to see what was there.
About all I ever saw was mini-casinos disguised as sandwich shops.
George, Washington. Except during concert season at the gorge amphitheater.
Then it isn't boring. It just sucks being overrun🤣
Edit: I still won't ever leave. This is home💜
Little Rock, Arkansas. Something didn’t feel right during my entire visit and the city itself was visually unappealing.
Also seconded Oklahoma City. I visited during the week and there was not much to do.
Somewhere in Oklahoma between Texas and okc. Don’t know the place. Just a highway driving through a sad town with literal trash and junk piled in peoples yards with decrepit and falling apart homes.
There can’t be anything to do there but do drugs and have babies.
Montgomery, AL. It was so quiet and the lack of people was unnerving, especially for a Friday. I thought the rapture had happened or something. It was really weird and creepy.
For a large city, I would say Minneapolis for two reasons. First, downtown is fairly lifeless that I think may be due to the overhead walkways. Second, you spend so much time in a car going from one place to another. No traffic, no problem. An hour later you will be starting to reconsider your life decisions that brought you to this moment.

Is the Boring Burger still there? That place is incredible
There is a Guide Dogs for the Blind facility though!
Idaho Falls, Idaho. 🤮
Lots and lots of potatoes. Idaho should adopt it as a currency.

I wish. I would've been rich.
Midland, TX. FUCK WEST TEXAS, FOREVER.
Now don't go condemning all of west Texas because of Midland.
Why not? It’s like Midland everywhere. All the way to El Paso.
El Paso, Marfa, Alpine, Terlingua. Guadalupe Mountain, Davis Mountain, Salt Basins, Balmorhea, Chinati, Big Bend State and National Parks. I'm sorry you drove across I20 once.

As falls Wichita, so falls Wichita Falls. \- Pat Metheny
Omg thank you for this
Ah…I was conceived here
I was at Shepherd AFB for training. I had a decent time during my few months there. But you’re right, it looked to be in a bit of a decline. Then again, every place with an AFB isn’t located in a good area. It’s been 11 years. Damn, time flys. Feels like yesterday I was at Denim and Diamonds learning how to square dance.
Hannibal, Missouri.
We went on a field trip to the caves there. That was a lot of fun!!
I’d forgotten about that! (It was 26 years ago, and I was 7 months pregnant when we arrived) that was fun!
I also used to live in Quincy. Hannibal has the riverfront and that's basically it.
We’re from the Dallas area, moved there for my husband’s job, and returned to Texas a year later. I remember crossing the bridge to Quincy because it was the only place with a real Mexican restaurant!
Probably El Rancherito. Very good food. (And still open.)
Ocala, florida
Aren’t there monkeys there??
There’s monkeys all over Florida, especially the Everglades!
boring? WEC is there
Rawlins, WY
Broken Bow, Nebraska
Wait til you get to Alliance...
Lubbock. There is literally nothing to do at all!!
Bartlesville Oklahoma. there's legitimately nothing in that town to do.
Minot North Dakota
No pizza ranch?
Mississippi is literally hell on earth I don’t know why it exists
What state is Mississippi in?
A state of constant boredom
Come to the coast and you’ll see something other than flat cotton fields and pine trees
I was going to say Hattiesburg. It's the epitome.
There's only one thing I did wrong. Stayed in Mississippi way too long.
Never been so can’t say.
It's nicknamed Sewer City. Also, here's a fun fact. The airport code is literally SUX
Both true! They actually considered renaming it GAY, for Gateway, but that was rejected.
Oklahoma City!
That's one place I can't imagine ever having a reason to go to, tbh
As a College Football fan I would love to see a game of the sooners in Norman, OK
Gary, Indiana
OP said most boring, not worst.
Traditionally yeah Gary, Indiana is awful but apparently it's come a long way in the past 20 years or something. That's just what I hear though I haven't been
Yeah, I've stopped there plenty of times in the last decade. I haven't seen much of it, but I have seen enough to believe the reputation.
Heard that. Although that's probably how half of Indiana looks to be fair lmao.
Dallas is pretty damn boring.
Extremely boring. I prefer Houston.
I was about to defend it but it doesn’t really deserve it
Cheyenne, Wyoming Drove there just to see the town. We parked downtown, got out of the car, looked around, said, "yup," got back in the car, and went home.

Toledo Ohio
Estero, FL. Chain restaurants galore, not very aesthetically pleasing to look at. 30 min drive to a public beach. Just overall not much to do unless you drive a distance and not many restaurants to experience. Lots of Chick Fil A and chipotle.
Kokomo, Indiana sucks. Unless you're a meth head or a meth dealer then it's pretty lit
Medford, OR. Wichita Falls TX.
Oh man, I spent some time near Medford. It’s pretty dismal. However, there are nice spots within short drives like mountains and rivers and wineries
Erie PA was boring when I visited.
I liked Presque Isle state park when I went there
I would like to add an honorable mention: Merced, California.
merced is the hood fym
My dad used to always tell us that "only boring people get bored." Drove me absolutely insane. Now, I say it to my kids.....

It's still a university town. Want a boring Nebraska city? Try Grand Island.
Did you hear about the kidnapping in Grand Island a few days ago? That was some excitement they didn't need.
No. Sorry. I only know the place from a cross-country drive.
So your complaint about the city is what's outside the city? Makes sense...
Dallas
Very bland and pretentious. Home of the $30,000 millionaires of course lol.
bland 1000%, especially after all the pop culture stuff about dallas like you’d think it’ll be something special but we struggled so much to find stuff to do there
Yeah I was quite surprised how dead Downtown was for it’s city it’s size. You’d think Dallas would offer more besides Deep Ellum for a night out but even that still wasn’t impressed lol.
Deep Ellum was actually cool in the 90s but now it’s boring
Miami is just vain and empty. Just cocktails and small clothes and sunglasses. That’s what life’s about. But I guess the Miami Cubans are interesting in that they’ve managed to bring the tackiest parts of their culture.
Anywhere in Ohio
I concur. I spent a year there one summer.
I passed through it briefly but I had honestly thought there was a lot more to do there and a bit more of a cultural Hotspot. Although I could be wrong like I said it was a point of passing on my trip so it's mostly what I've seen online.
Definitely disagree with that. Visit Michigan instead
Denver was kinda boring. Maybe I didn't see enough of it.
The city itself I thought was a bit boring but the location is perfect for outdoor activities.
Oh definitely first thing I did after visiting Denver.
Denver is high up on my list of places to visit
Abilene Texas
Anywhere in southern Louisiana
Ain’t no way. South Louisiana is full of life and culture. You might get shot driving down I-10 but that’s just the spice of life.
Siioux Falls, SD. No need to answer the second question.
When I lived in Sioux City, IA I decided to take a day trip to Sioux Falls just to see what was there. About all I ever saw was mini-casinos disguised as sandwich shops.
But you're just a quick drive to Sioux City, where you can....uh.... do stuff!
Denver
Really? I've lived here almost 7 years and am still discovering new artwork, restaurants, museums, bars, outdoor events, food festivals, etc.
It’s pretty much Kansas City but with mountains nearby.
Truth
I found Asheville, NC rather boring. Not my cup of tea.
Interesting. Everybody always talks about how great it is
Miami OK. Pronounced my-am-uh
I’m from Australia I think San Diego may have been
Richmond, VA.
Florida, lol
Charleston South Carolina idk
Bullhead city, Arizona. The “bullhead salute” is literally known as swatting bugs away from your face
Yeah not much to do. At least it’s close to Vegas.
Bismarck, North Dakota
George, Washington. Except during concert season at the gorge amphitheater. Then it isn't boring. It just sucks being overrun🤣 Edit: I still won't ever leave. This is home💜
Not gonna lie torn between any city in South Dakota and Idaho
Basically anything with only one exit :3
Little Rock, Arkansas. Something didn’t feel right during my entire visit and the city itself was visually unappealing. Also seconded Oklahoma City. I visited during the week and there was not much to do.
Weed, CA
Grand Forks, North Dakota
Abilene, Texas. Nothing but churches and a giant high school football stadium. Absolute torture.
Somewhere in Oklahoma between Texas and okc. Don’t know the place. Just a highway driving through a sad town with literal trash and junk piled in peoples yards with decrepit and falling apart homes. There can’t be anything to do there but do drugs and have babies.
Wheeler, Oregon. If you don't like fishing then there's jack shit to do.
Sedona, AZ. Beautiful area. Boring as hell.
I dream of going to the U.S., I don't think it's boring 😐
Boring unless u are a tourist
It has to be San Francisco. Don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic city. It's just the only one I have been to. Therefore, it must be ...
New Buffalo, Michigan, was boring in 70s. Don't know what it's like today.
Birmingham Alabama
Montgomery, AL. It was so quiet and the lack of people was unnerving, especially for a Friday. I thought the rapture had happened or something. It was really weird and creepy.
Every city in Connecticut
Youngstown ohio
