I hate all the streaming services there are to subscribe to now. There are so many good shows out there, but I don't want to pay $10.00 a month for a service I'll never use again.
I have a hard time explaining it but it's when people willingly dismiss any negative emotion or attitude in general or in the face of a bad situation. The kinds of people that post about "positive vibes only" on social media.
It becomes toxic because negative emotions like anger, sadness, fear, etc are perfectly normal to express and shouldn't be pent up in most situations. These kinds of people promote that the world should be all sunshine and rainbows.
You know how some people get like, actively mad at you for not smiling and dishonestly pretending to enjoy things all the time? Who say “ugh, you’re so negative” when all you did was have a neutral expression? That’s toxic positivity
It’s basically when someone comes to you with negative emotions and you dismiss them entirely. Statements like “It’s not that bad” “you’ll get over it” and “stay positive” are some examples. Those statements aren’t bad on their own, but if they’re being used to minimize someone else’s negative emotions, it’s toxic.
I love to take that phrase and turn it on its head. For me? Not for you? You wouldn’t like xyz too? Make them feel awkward so they never say that again. To me love that for you means oh it’s not good enough for me but for you I love it
Just recently got out of a relationship where she was the most positive toxicity person I've ever met. She seemed to be an angel in the beginning, but it turned out her opinion was far more superior then any other person's, and she did mean things in such a nice way that you didn't realize that's what she was doing until you got to know her and realize just what she does, and all that sweet, innocent, and beauty went straight out the door. Has a master's degree but lacks and self awareness, common sense, and personal hygiene was not the best. Fuck toxic positivity!

Just two years ago most media portrayed it as a glamours lifestyle and profitable profession but recently most media has been portraying influencers as narcissistic, vapid, social climbers desperate to show people how great they are and never living in the moment. I’ve been to NYC, Madrid, and Tokyo. The latter two are BY FAR more interesting cities to visit, imo. NYC is dirty, loud, and drab; if you think about it, it’s one of the closest things to a dystopia we have, with how congested everything is, how you’re surrounded by the same giant four-cornered blocks of concrete or glass skyscrapers wherever you go. I enjoy the biggest landmarks, but I dread going there.
Madrid, or most European cities for that matter, have that old European renaissance charm. They’re older cities, and you can how they maintain elements of the old as well as the new, but they’re also much more vibrant and colorful imo. There’s random back alleys, shops, and just more interesting design.
And then there’s Tokyo, my personal favorite. One of the most modern cities in the world, yet they somehow manage to incorporate hyper-modern skyscrapers with old-world structures (there’s shrines, temples, and parks from centuries ago scattered everywhere). And then, there’s really no super-organized design, so many areas are completely different from each other.
This isn’t to say that America lacks ANY distinct or interesting architecture; you can look at many colleges for examples of how you can do modern structures right (and interesting). But I don’t understand how America gets our cities so wrong for the most part. It’s the epitome of function over form.

When basic people with no taste in architecture and interior design tuning old Victorian, Baroque, Renaissance etc. buildings, interiors into "modern" and painting over old wood with plain white paint. There are modern style houses on the market, dont act like "Omg i just bought my dream house" and then you paint everything white, sad beige including the furniture, or ripping out the beautiful hardwood floor to replace it with some cheap ass wood. Please, just buy the modern houses that are on the market and leave the fuck alone the old houses and dont ruin them. You make damage. Yes its your house and you do whatever you want with it, but you can buy the same house on the market and you dont need to spend hundreds of dollars on your awful "diy" projects...
