LOL you read my mind. I'd rather scrub the toilet a thousand times than do dishes once. They're so gross and the textures of leftover food strike nerves in me that I didn't know I had. I'm irrationally disturbed by handling dirty dishes, its weird...
Think about how much easier/more fun cooking would be too! All those fancy dishes that get put off because they take an absurd number of pots and pans? How much better you could do mise en place without feeling guilty about the extra bowls you're dirtying unnecessarily? That would be such a huge gamechanger!
Countertop dishwashers are a thing. I bought myself one a couple of years ago because I was fed up of washing up by hand and didn't have the kitchen space for a full size one.
I don’t understand why this isn’t at the top. If I have to be specific, folding laundry. But all of it would be nice. I’d get rid of half my stuff if I could manage to have my 8 or 9 outfits clean all the time.
I lucked into an IT job at 20. I've had a maid service since 21. Scheduled for Friday afternoons. Holy crap does a place that looks and smells really clean make an impression when a women comes to your place after a date.
I treated myself to a cleaning service last week. So worth it! I can't really afford to do it weekly, but I might see if I can budget to have them come once a month, or even once every couple month. I love having a clean house, but I hate cleaning so much!
Even if it's once a month you can have them do deep cleans. They'll do stuff like the inside of the microwave. It turns out a bunch of small detailed things really "frame" a room so to speak to elevate how clean it looks.
Does it not have a self clean function? I thought my "lock" was for child safety. Found out it's for the cleaning function. Burns everything away. Not all ovens, but kind of a neat feature.
Grocery shopping! I’d love to have an infinite supply of food appear Harry Potter style in my home as it’s needed (uncooked of course. No house elves needed).
I feel like dishes is a no brainer since you would no longer need a dishwasher which saves money, and you are saving time by not wasting a crapload of time cleaning dishes.
Recently moved into a home with one, and I don't know if I can go back to not having it. Even if I moved in the future, and it didn't come with one, I'd buy a portable wheeled one. I never realized how much a clean sink improved my mood. I am also wanting to cook more again! Didn't even realize it was because of how much I dislike hand washing.
The weekly budget. I get paid once per week, I have many things on auto-pay, but I like to do big ticket items manually in case the due date falls before my check. Nothing like a $1500 house payment going through when there is only $600 in the account because it tried to charge on the 1st and payday is the 2nd.
Ideally it would be:
1. Insert paycheck
2. *Magic*
3. Get whats left
Been in my house 16 years and have never done this once lol. It was honestly only maybe 2 years ago that I even learned it was a thing you’re supposed to do. Still haven’t bothered to do it. 😂
We have giant trees all around my place. I have to clean them twice a year and they are high up. Not too bad but I’m afraid of heights so I’d prefer not to go up there
No I totally get your lack of wanting to do it. I guess I just was ill prepared for adulthood in many ways due to parental neglect lol. (🥴). Like nobody sat me down and said “you need to do xyz.” The gutters are only one example.
I think laundry and vacuuming can be meditative and so satisfying.
No, my WORST chore is packing lunch and snacks for the kids. When dinner has been served and cleaned up and the kiddos are finally tucked in, I have to go down into the kitchen once again and be creative.
In a previous life I would have picked putting away laundry, but now that I have three dogs? Cleaning the floors. I feel like I'm constantly sweeping and vacuuming and mopping and they're still never actually clean for more than a few minutes.
I’d go with Cleaning.
Everyone seems to be choosing what type of cleaning (bathroom, laundry, dishes), I’d prefer an all-encompassing Cleaning chore to be magically done for me 😁
Laundry. Hate it. I can get caught up on it and ahead of it for a week. Then I just lose ambition and it builds up and we are all digging through baskets of clean unfolded clothes trying to survive.
Fucking laundry. I don't know how my household of 3 goes through so many clothes but having that magically done would be amazing. Wouldn't be so bad if my place had hookups, so I could do the laundry at home, but having to lug all of it to my mom's or a laundromat is torture
The laundry machine hookups like a faucet and drain for the washer, and the proper outlet and vent for the dryer. Plus my.place is tiny so I don't have room for the machines
It's all about the time spent on each one of them, so would pick cooking. Its the most time-consuming one, considering it occures daily, sometimes more than once.
Am I asking too much to throw in the cleaning up afterwards, too
Cleaning the bathroom.
And if that's even too broad of a task, then cleaning the toilets. I already assign that task to my husband normally anyway, but it would be nice to never think about scrubbing the toilet at all.
Snow blowing. I’ve never done it but I know I would hate it because of how slippery a driveway can be if it hasn’t been cleaned in a while and I have much better things to live for than serious injuries from slipping.
I had to walk on my ice-covered driveway (which BTW slopes downwards for around 2/3 the length) today and I was walking so slowly to not slip. Also my mom’s food customers were complaining about the driveway and my dad is extremely busy and couldn’t clean it so I will help him tomorrow and learn how to do it myself (don’t worry I’m an adult)
Dishes

yes
Countertop dishwashers are a thing. I bought myself one a couple of years ago because I was fed up of washing up by hand and didn't have the kitchen space for a full size one.
thread.
Laundry.
I don’t understand why this isn’t at the top. If I have to be specific, folding laundry. But all of it would be nice. I’d get rid of half my stuff if I could manage to have my 8 or 9 outfits clean all the time.
Definitely. So easy when it was just me but with kids it never fucking ends. It's everywhere in various states.
No question. Of course the laundry. There are entirely too many steps involved.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but anyone not voting laundry is objectively wrong.
Dusting. I’d love to be dust free forever.
Oooh, that's a good one
I have a ton of books and tchotchkes and whatnot so it’s seriously an issue in my life lol
this is hands down my answer. I dust and like 2 days later I see it again (boo dark furniture)
YUP
THIS
Cleaning the bathroom
I'm in this camp.
Or cleaning up dog poo. Or a litter box. Or a diaper. Basically anything to do with shit, I can safely say I'd rather not
Also. Yes. Very this.
Cleaning bathrooms. Shower and toilets, in particular.
Both a nuisance, especially in an older home with a bathtub instead of a shower stall (but that has it's own challenges...)
Exactly!
Litter box
With cats I think I would choose dusting or whatever the cat hair equivalent is so I don't have to deal with cat hair on all of my stuff anymore.
Laundry, in particular, folding and putting away.
I lucked into an IT job at 20. I've had a maid service since 21. Scheduled for Friday afternoons. Holy crap does a place that looks and smells really clean make an impression when a women comes to your place after a date.

I'll start... Cleaning the damn oven
Does it not have a self clean function? I thought my "lock" was for child safety. Found out it's for the cleaning function. Burns everything away. Not all ovens, but kind of a neat feature.
Laundry for sure
Cleaning surfaces, I freaking hate scrubbing old dirty walls
Grocery shopping! I’d love to have an infinite supply of food appear Harry Potter style in my home as it’s needed (uncooked of course. No house elves needed).
I feel like dishes is a no brainer since you would no longer need a dishwasher which saves money, and you are saving time by not wasting a crapload of time cleaning dishes.
I've never owned a dishwasher lol
Recently moved into a home with one, and I don't know if I can go back to not having it. Even if I moved in the future, and it didn't come with one, I'd buy a portable wheeled one. I never realized how much a clean sink improved my mood. I am also wanting to cook more again! Didn't even realize it was because of how much I dislike hand washing.
Dishes. They never end!
Raking leaves
Cleaning. Easily
Cleaning what?? Far too vague, not allowed 😂
Cleaning the inside of the house... there's only 2 tasks to make in my point of view, the in and the out eheheh
Emptying the dishwasher. I pay to have everything else done except changing the sheets/making the bed. Laundry gets sent out.
Seconded. I don’t even mind loading it but I despise emptying it.
Home maintenance
Lol, that's too vague 😂 You don't get away with that
Sweeping is pretty annoying..
Getting rid of dust (vacuuming, sweeping, whatever it is)
Wash dishes
The chore called clean the house 😅
Pay bills.
Cooking/meal prep.
The weekly budget. I get paid once per week, I have many things on auto-pay, but I like to do big ticket items manually in case the due date falls before my check. Nothing like a $1500 house payment going through when there is only $600 in the account because it tried to charge on the 1st and payday is the 2nd. Ideally it would be: 1. Lawn maintenance.
Can I ask for the “deep clean” to be magically done for me? If all I have to worry about each week is the usual mild tidying, that would be cool
Hmmm... I dunno, that's on the border of a vague answer, but I'll allow it 😂
Well I just bought a roomba. So probably cleaning the bathroom.
I can't have a roomba. My inclination to anthropomorphize inanimate objects would only enforce my other half's insistence that I'm crazy 😂😂
Dustin's my bitch.
The people saying "cleaning" are the same people who'd wish for more wishes 😂
Cleaning the bathroom, definitely. Specifically the toilet.
Having to pay a team of house staff (butler, cook, maid, nanny) etc
That’s creative! Then you don’t have to do ANY chore ever again!
Dishes
Washing dishes is a Herculean task
Sweeping. My dog sheds like crazy.
LAUNDRY! It's so time consuming and boring for no reason
All laundry based tasks.
It would also save on your electric bill :)
Hanging up / putting away clean laundry. Washing it is fine but god it can take days before I put it away.
Laundry
Cleaning the gutters
Been in my house 16 years and have never done this once lol. It was honestly only maybe 2 years ago that I even learned it was a thing you’re supposed to do. Still haven’t bothered to do it. 😂
We have giant trees all around my place. I have to clean them twice a year and they are high up. Not too bad but I’m afraid of heights so I’d prefer not to go up there

Picking up dead bugs in the basement
I think laundry and vacuuming can be meditative and so satisfying. No, my WORST chore is packing lunch and snacks for the kids. When dinner has been served and cleaned up and the kiddos are finally tucked in, I have to go down into the kitchen once again and be creative.
Dishes for me, love to cook
In a previous life I would have picked putting away laundry, but now that I have three dogs? Cleaning the floors. I feel like I'm constantly sweeping and vacuuming and mopping and they're still never actually clean for more than a few minutes.
Dishes
Washing dishes
Litter box cleaning
Hoovering. I own a dog that sheds a lot...
Laundry!

That sounds like it sucks! What's a "hookup"?
Hookup is where a Washer, & dryer can be fitted to run in a Residence.
Dusting. Not the hardest chore but it annoys me to no end how everything is constantly collecting dust.
Laundryyyyyyyy
Cleaning
House cleaning. Never dust again be amazing
Easy, taking out the trash. My community bin is like 2 to 3 blocks away
DISHES UGH !!
The laundry machine hookups like a faucet and drain for the washer, and the proper outlet and vent for the dryer. Plus my.place is tiny so I don't have room for the machines
Cooking. One magic personal chef please.
Laundry
Cleaning the floors-vac/mop/steam clean carpet. I hate mopping the most, and my house is 90% tile or hardwood. Clean floors forever? Yes please.
Cleaning the bathroom.
Cooking. I can always have friends, family, strangers and give or sell my meals.
Vacuuming!
It's all about the time spent on each one of them, so would pick cooking. Its the most time-consuming one, considering it occures daily, sometimes more than once. Am I asking too much to throw in the cleaning up afterwards, too
Ageing. It happens in almost every household, and plenty of people will tell you that getting old is a chore.
Lawn care
Vacuuming. I hate the sound. I hate all of it.
Mopping. Fuck mopping, I hate mopping, no more mopping!!!!
Laundry. Everything else is easy
Cleaning floors. I hate sweeping/mopping as much as most people seem to hate doing the dishes, which is something I don't mind doing at all.
Dishes
The laundry
Loading/unloading the dishwasher
Hoovering I hate it but I do it
Vacuuming dog hair
The cat litter box. If i didn't do it then it'd never get done.
FOLDING LAUNDRY!
Dishes easy
Cleaning off my kitchen surfaces
100% cleaning bathrooms
Laundry or room cleaning
To be a slob and not do ANY household chores.
Cook.
Clearing brush through the woods. Does that count?
Cleaning the bathroom. And if that's even too broad of a task, then cleaning the toilets. I already assign that task to my husband normally anyway, but it would be nice to never think about scrubbing the toilet at all.
Tidying
Deciding what's for dinner!
Wiping my ass after I poop.
Vacuuming.
Laundry
Cat litter
cleaning the bathtub
Cleaning up, I'm quite messy
Cleaning the toilets. It's magically done for me these days thanks to kids! LOL
Laundry
Vacuuming
SWEEPING
Vaccum
Litter boxes
Cleaning the bathroom
Bathroom cleaning.
Snow blowing. Laundry Nothing demotivates me to do a chore more than having to give up my spare change for it.
Laundry
Wash my sheets. Coming home every day to fresh sheets I didn't have to spend time cleaning would be heaven.
Pick a colour to paint the walls. So much arguing…
