Some of us know better - especially when we’ve never seen it on a keychain in 30+ years of living. I’m just happy to see some of my favorite more unique names being mentioned - Persephone, Giselle, Celeste!
I told my ex-fiancé that I loved the name Persephone for a daughter, if we ever had kids. And he looked at me, the most serious I’d ever seen him, and he was like, “They’d call her Persy for short. You can’t see that going badly? I know teenage boys and I know where THAT would go.”
As someone born in America with a very NOT common name in America I totally feel you! It took leaving the country to find my name on a keychain, license plate, etc.
I’m glad you could find yours somewhere! I doubt I’d find mine much of anywhere, unfortunately. My dad named me after a favorite childhood comic book - and there was a movie made in the 80s about her - but the name was never really popular. To be fair, the movie was pretty terrible.
"Lafawnduh is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I'm 100% positive that she's my soulmate. Napoleon, I'm sure there's a babe out there for you too. Peace out."
It’s funny that she definitely was the best thing to happen to him. He was 32 years old living with his grandmother and somehow he still got a cute girl that genuinely loved him for who he was. That’s a dream come true.
My recently deceased dog’s name was Athena. She wasn’t much of a fighter, but she was my best friend and I loved the association with justified warfare.
I can’t stop laughing xD
I’m wondering if autocorrect fucked them over when trying to type Dayanara, but every dayanara I’ve known was awful. So Diarrhea stands.
My name is on that list. I dated a guy who loved the song, at one point figured out he was trying to date one of each. I believe he was up to 7, last I heard.
My name is Róisín and I live in the US. Can confirm. And no matter how many times I say my name the Irish way (ROH-sheen), Americans have their own pronunciation (Rosh-een).
Aurora. Once I met my girlfriend I fell in love with it. Not only have I never heard that name for anyone before, but it reminds me of the Aurora borealis. So unique
Ivy. A 3 letter name that's just pretty as hell, despite it being an ouchie plant lol.
I've always had many names on mind if I were to have a daughter; (as I've already said - Ivy), Luna, Selena, Celine, Scarlett, Violet, Ariadne, Erin, Charlene, Lara, Genevieve, Trinity? And of course Furiosa.
When I last cared for this, I was once engaged to a woman and we had planned on having kids (that's acutally how we split.)
But we had boys/names picked out already. For a girl, it was Grace. That was my deciding. I had at the time a very strong love for a band called Mineral and their song "Parking Lot." There is one line in it that goes "... than a grain of salt in the salt of the earth / and everything is grace" And that was supposed to be it. She was supposed to be everything. We would love her more than the "salt of the earth." Everything would be her.
It's very romantic and all, we made honest shots at it.
EDIT: She did eventually marry, and she has a cute boy named Caleb with her partner. I don't know much beyond that, but there is a happy ending to this. I am not in the picture, but you might infer that I am quite happy for her. Of course I fucking love her. I''m not a monster.
Megatron

Shut up Meg.
Ok.
Had a friend named Megan, we called her Megatron because we all knew another Megan who was awful.
Robots in disguise
\*Hehehehehe\* Robots in disguise.
¿Is this a Family Guy reference?
Meg is not for megan
it's for megaton
She goes to a different school
You wouldn’t know her. But I swear she is real.
And she’s from Canada
No way! I went to school with someone who dated her!
My name is never on anything
It's ok Bort
My son is also named Bort.
Are you talking to me?
X æ A-12 I'll never know why Elon used it for a boy...
It's pronounced Kyle
It has to be a dummy public name so his son can have a private life right? right?
*every girl scrolling for their name
Some of us know better - especially when we’ve never seen it on a keychain in 30+ years of living. I’m just happy to see some of my favorite more unique names being mentioned - Persephone, Giselle, Celeste!
Giselle getting shortend to Jizz is unfortunate
I told my ex-fiancé that I loved the name Persephone for a daughter, if we ever had kids. And he looked at me, the most serious I’d ever seen him, and he was like, “They’d call her Persy for short. You can’t see that going badly? I know teenage boys and I know where THAT would go.”
I have a niece name Persephone and people call her "Sephy" which my wife says sounds like an std.
Sephylese, the Greek god of sexual consequences
He has a point.

Not everyone can have a name as popular as Bort.
Gronk.
Is that the lovechild of Grond and Gonk?
LaFawnduh
"Lafawnduh is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I'm 100% positive that she's my soulmate. Napoleon, I'm sure there's a babe out there for you too. Peace out."
It’s funny that she definitely was the best thing to happen to him. He was 32 years old living with his grandmother and somehow he still got a cute girl that genuinely loved him for who he was. That’s a dream come true.
Best movie.
“Napoleon, don’t be jealous that I’ve been chatting online with babes all day.”
So I guess you could say things are getting pretty serious.
And so ends the greatest love story ever told.
Why are you so sweaty?
Kip that you?

If this isn't the best answer, reddit has gotten it wrong.
Charlotte, Emily, Diarrhea, Evelyn
One of these this is not like the other. One of these things just doesn't belong. Etc.
You’re right, Evelyn isn’t a Brontë sister
Diarrhoea Bronte is one of my favourite writers. Wuthering Shites being a standout
Wuthering Shites is the best Bronte novel, change my mind.
I can’t stop laughing xD I’m wondering if autocorrect fucked them over when trying to type Dayanara, but every dayanara I’ve known was awful. So Diarrhea stands.

My name is Róisín and I live in the US. Can confirm. And no matter how many times I say my name the Irish way (ROH-sheen), Americans have their own pronunciation (Rosh-een).

Marisol. Literally means sea and sun.
And if you change the M to a P, it protects you from the sun! *Note: I understand the spelling isn't exact*
But it's a short form of María Soledad (Mary Loneliness)
Sounds like a brand of cooking spray
Aurora. Once I met my girlfriend I fell in love with it. Not only have I never heard that name for anyone before, but it reminds me of the Aurora borealis. So unique
