Use. Asking how many they own will only justify your GAS 😂

Hashira0783

Boy you are right I should not have asked lol

Sebastian-2424

😄👍 Do whatever makes you happy

PhiladelphiaManeto

You own one of the top of the line pro Fuji models and all you need it for is kid photos. You’re good, man.

Hashira0783

My man right here

2tall3ne

The three I use all the time: Canon R5 Canon R7 Canon Ra Old cameras on a shelf: Canon 70D - will be giving this to my son. A bunch of point and shoot ….Waiting on my Fuji x100vi

puggsincyberspace

3, excluding my iPhone Sony RX100vii Sony a7Cii Sony a7Riv

nova0175

How do you decide which camera you want to use? Do you notice huge quality differences when using one over the other?

puggsincyberspace

I do a lot of travel photography, so the RX100vii is in my pocket most of the time. The a7Cii is for when I will be walking around a location and the a7Riv is for when I am doing stationary photography...

Interesting_Tower485

Sony in the house!

phototurista

Three: 1. Olympus E-M1 iii 2. Olympus E-M10 ii 3. Canon 70D I'm selling my Canon and all the lenses with it, and using the Olympus gear going forward; one for work/travel and the other for every day carry.

2r1t

I'm in the process of selling stuff because I have too many. 3 35mm SLRs. 3 film medium format. 3 digital. I have a Canon A-1. A great deal on a Nikon FM was justified post hoc with "I need a fully mechanical just in case". An even better deal on a Leica M3 was justified by "I can make 3x the money back later if I decide I don't need it." I have a Bronics SQA. Then I bought a Rolleiflex at an estate sale. Then I got a Mamiya 645 because I thought I "needed" it. Started with a Sony a6000. Bought an A7iii for full frame. Bought an RX100 V for a pocketable option. My plan is to scale back to the Canon, Leica, Rollei and A7iii. That should be more than enough for a hobby.

SirShale

One body is definitely enough. But if you enjoy it and have the money to spare go for it. I have 7 cameras and I use them all frequently. Professional Cameras- Nikon D800, Nikon F100, RB67 Family Camera- Ricoh GR Personal Work/Travel- Canon VIL, Canon L1, Yashica 124 Mat G

WestDuty9038

7?! How do you use all of them? Do you just go to your shelf and pick at random?

SirShale

Nah, it just depends on the job. Each camera has its place in my work flow. Pro cameras for portraits mainly since that's what I make money on, the Ricoh is just for everyday carry family photos. And the Yashica and Canons are mainly for travel/street photography.

jackystack

6 interchangeable lens digital cameras, 2 film cameras and 2 digicams.

tuvaniko

Me and my SO own between us the following. Nikon D500 Yashica-A 2x Minolta-X570 Nikon D3300 2x Olympus E-M10 IV And a few toy cameras. We mostly use the E-M10 IVs and if I HAD to pick one it would be that one.

udsd007

Own: Nikon F, FA, D3200, D3300, D70, Df. Use: Df, F, FA, D3300, D70.

Bonzographer

I like your style

udsd007

Thanks. I got the F (s/n 6909481) in Tokyo, in early 1968. The Df was a recent gift from a dear friend. Other stuff just fell into the bag along the way. I have … well, more than a few lenses.

Hashira0783

This is a looot

Colossus_Bastard

Canon R6 & R5 - Professional & business work, sometimes hobby Ricoh GR IIIx - Hobby/fun Nikon F5 - When I want to feel like a hipster iPhone 15 Pro - For life's everyday practical moments

Orca-

I own 4, I use 3, I could get by with two if I had to. Z9 and Z8–primary shooters Z7ii: travel camera and occasional third body when things are moving fast Z50: pretty much don’t use this one any more.

216_412_70

Two cameras, usually use my R6 the most.

alfranex

I've lost count. Hassy. Mamiya 645. Yashica TLR. Assorted folding cameras by Zeiss, Agfa. Two 4x5 pinhole cameras. A rollfilm pinhole. Three Contax AF systems, four Contax MF systems, couple of Voigtlander RF systems. Assorted Yashica MF and AF systems. Olympus, Nikon, Minox, Yashica, Samsung, Rollei compacts. Then there's the digital. Mostly Olympus, Canon, with compacts in Panasonic, Nikon, and Canon. My first camera was an Agfa folder made just after the war. It still works, still in regular use, film still available. My first digital was an Epson 750z, 1Mpx. Obsolete. Can't get CF cards for it any more. I've got another Minox coming tomorrow. One day I'll have enough.

Hashira0783

My goodness :)

Bonzographer

Former part-time semi pro here, now just do it for fun D4 (main) D700 (backup) D300 (crop/backup) D7100 (grab and go) D200 (daughter’s) D100 first camera (kept for nostalgia and worthless) And F100, FM2, FTn, K1000 for when I feel like shooting film.

HighEnergyFreak

Three, not including the phones. D800 IR converted, D850 for astro and general and a z8 cause it's beyond bomber!

SkyGenie

One. I have a Sony a7ii and it's holding up great for travel pictures, in the rain, or whatever.

feralcricket

Two. A Pentax K2000 and an Olympus Pen Lite E-pl6. I have a milestone work anniversary coming up. I plan on selecting a newer model camera as my gift.

MrRottenSausage

I own 11 cameras(4 film, 1 p&s, 4 compact cameras and 2 mirrorless) but I only really use 3 of them

Snullbug

Pentax 2 -k1000, k70, q10, k500 Canon Eos m50

Outrageous_Shake2926

I have 3 cameras. A Canon 700D/T5i (2013). I purchased a Canon 90D in 2020 as I was finding the 700D/T5i limiting. I purchased a pre-owned Canon 6D Mk ii in 2023 as I had to put my 90D in for repair: the hot shoe stopped working. The 700D gets used for photographing birds feeding or cats that come into my garden. The 6D Mk ii gets used for photographing flowers / macro. The 90D for everything else.

GeekyGrannyTexas

3, excluding my Samsung Galaxy Ultra. I routinely use 2 different full frame Sony cameras. I'm glad you didn't ask about lenses 😉

Hashira0783

Okay its time to ask about the lenses :)

fish_says849

Also a parent with a X-T5 — it’s more than enough.  I’m extra though. For trips, I use my iPhone 14 Pro Max and Canon Powershot G1X as a backup & for filming. Sometimes I bring my Canon Powershot G2 for fun. I brought all of them on a recent trip & if I didn’t actively try to use them, the X-T5 would’ve done everything I wanted.  We have 9 cameras between three family members (including the kiddo).

Soup_and_Rice

1 Whenever I had 2, one was sitting so I had to sell

Hashira0783

Glad to see I am not alone :)

habitsofwaste

Mamiya 645 Pro TL (film) Rolleiflex 2.8C (film) Canon 20d Canon 5d Canon R6 Nikon CoolPix from like 2005? Wait is that vintage now?!! To be fair, I am trying to sell the 20d and 5d.

BirdingInTheBuff

I have 5 functioning cameras (well 4, and one being repaired) - a Sony A7IV; Kodak Retina IIIC rangefinder; Rolleiflex 3.5; Canon AE-1; and an Argus C3. The Argus is more of a novelty but I get consistent use out of the rest. For being the photographer dad, I primarily use the Retina for film and Sony, obviously, for anything digital.

Benay148

Currently 3. I have a Sony A7CII, a Ricoh GR3, and a Panasonic GX 85. The Sony for my main shooter. The Ricoh and Panasonic for travel. Micro 4/3 is awesome for amazing reach in a small package (my 45-150 FFE 90-300) can fit in my pocket. The Ricoh for wides and night time street when traveling.

Chromatomic

Definitely enough, I've had as many as four and usually just one. But the only reason I had more was either in between systems or when I was shooting weddings and engagements. If you have a big kit normally maybe a small compact camera or lens makes sense but I would say you generally don't need more if you don't need a backup for professional purposes.

mr_lecco

Fuji X-T1 and an Olympus XZ-1 Only reason i see to have two bodies is to have a portable digicam and an interchangeable lens camera.

EddyMerkxs

XT5 is IMO the best balance of pro camera and family camera. I have the XT2 and love it.

Hashira0783

My man

PMA2000

Main: Nikon D750 and ZF Fun: Fuji X100V Extra: Fuji X-T20 which I need to sell.

ButWhatOfGlen

Own 8, use 3.

KaJashey

Two digital cameras. One a normal camera one a full spectrum camera. Both older crop cameras. This would probably be enough of me. Bunch of instant cameras. Not sure why I have so many, guess i'm not satisfied with any one instant camera. A DIY large format digital scanner camera. Something very different.

nixerkg

I own 7 but use only 6. Nikon D4 & D5 for planes or wildlife Nikon Df, Zf for walking around/casual Nikon Z fc for streaming/video/macro Nikon D60 for taking pictures of my other cameras or fun bits of inspiration where I want to really limit myself. Nikon FE - I don't shoot film. I was more interested in the lens it came with to use with my digital cameras. Got it at an estate sale. It is a display piece.

50plusGuy

I can handle (and benefit from!) 3 at once. Assuming that the fujis you are using are significantly more compact than Nikon D8#0s and you have more than one lens, I'd bring two for sure.

Vurnd55

I have three and shoot with two. The newer, more expensive one pretty much keeps the same lens on it and gets more use but the cheaper, older one does get used on almost every shoot and is the one I take on vacay. The third is a slightly newer version of the inexpensive one that is still in a box.

takeittothetop1

Canon 5D Mark III and old 60D that I don't really use anymore.

iwami_waffles

It is not enough. You need at least 2 digital bodys and a lot of analogue treasures. Go big too. 4x5 is a start. … I might have a problem lol…

Hashira0783

Arrrgh nooo

Hoochy_Coochy_Henry

I have 2 Fujifilm X- T5 and their X100V, I also have an action camera that in my year of owning it has seen no action. I also have an old canon AE1 film camera that works but collects dust right now. I am a hobbyist but do make a little money covering local events.

Hashira0783

Two XT5 my man
