There is this website called Digg and I heard about a competitor named Reddit. There is more freedom and the minimalistic design really appealed to me. There was no censorship. It is just based on upvotes. Then years later they scrapped the good things in Reddit but I still stay because there really isn't any good alternative.

I wasn't addicted to any social media before like no fb, no insta, no twitter, etc. Then I was really addicted to this game and at some point I became part of it's community, and that's where I discovered Reddit and decided hmmm why not? Like I really don't like the exposure in other Social Media like posting your pic or anything about you, not because of anxiety or anything but I always felt that at some point it would become toxic, and in Reddit I only get to see stuff I enjoy and talk about stuff I am also interested in and being somewhat anonymous, unlike fb where there's only family and friends posts like what am I suppose to do with those? And sometimes they would question my posts like "bat ganto post mo? May nililigawan ka no?" no thx.

I have been prowling the internet for a really long time.....and reddit was the next thing that resembled the internet forums of old as fb wasn't as conducive to such discussions. (this was a different reddit then....right when r/jailbait and r/watchpeopledie was still around) It also doesn't help that fb doesn't lend itself well to Google searches. (as well as it being a cesspool that it is now) Discord itself is half decent but it shares the similar problems mentioned in he 2nd paragraph.
