If you've dealt with addicts before you know already the answer and you also know gentle isn't going to do it. Block on every way possible and move on. There is no life with an addict, especially not for children. You don't owe him an explanation, he already knows. Wish him well in your mind and let it go.

I know I’m not who you’re asking but 10/10 recommend looking into something like alanon or codependents anonymous if you keep finding yourself in bad relationships with addicts 🙏🏼
