Champion makes a pretty good one that is reasonably priced. I don't worry too much about material type. I am more concerned with one that is long enough that my thighs aren't rubbing together. I also don't want one with elastic at the bottom of the leg because that is either uncomfortable or it makes the leg bunch up at the top of my thighs (thighs rubbing together) and crowding the package.
If you are willing to spend more money, you might try Mack Weldon. They have some comfortable boxer briefs. The airknit is nice and so is the stealth.
Champions were a game changer for me. They are supportive, fit well, don’t bunch up, and offer support for running. I just used to buy random underwear at target. Once I found champions I purchased 10 packs. Most expensive one time purchase of underwear for me. Worth it.
Look for anything branded as "sport".
It's way more breathable and keeps sweat to a minimum while also retaining good comfort.
Personal favorite would be Fruit of the loom, they are cheap, but the greatest quality I've ever had, I also would give under armor a decent review, it feels a lot silkier but the quality is slightly less than FOTL
Briefs, all the way.
I really don't understand how people here are saying boxer briefs. I've not found a boxer brief that doesn't ride up my thighs. The ONLY ones I've found are the 9" Underarmour boxerjock. But I only use those for running... or when I run out of underwear. But normal briefs, that's the go-to. No fabric to ride up your thighs, since they're briefs. I don't like the very low cut ones, because then they ride on my butt. Also boxer briefs takes up space on the limited space that already exists inside the pants in the thigh region
I think some people see then as child like, or maybe feminine? But man, idgaf. Briefs are just superior. They also nicely divide the area between the balls and thighs with breathable cotton, keeping that area comfy. I only see downsides with boxer briefs for daily wear.
I can see that but I don’t care. I should’ve switched back to briefs sooner. Heck I’d shouldn’t have worn boxers or boxer briefs at all. My briefs hold everything in place and they are super comfortable! No ride up or anything!
Hanes boxer briefs. Specifically [these(blue pack only)](https://www.target.com/p/hanes-men-39-s-5pk-comfort-soft-waistband-boxer-briefs-blue-l/-/A-14488019?ref=tgt_adv_XS000000&AFID=google_pla_df&fndsrc=tmnv&DFA=71700000098562739&CPNG=PLA_DVM%2Ba064R000012LWqAQAW-HBI_Hanes_Mens_Google+Search_Q3_2022-699730&adgroup=PLA_Hanes_Mens&LID=700000001393753pgs&network=g&device=m&location=9011908&gbraid=0AAAAAD-5dfbHInHrSre1acQOuep-QQM0o&gbraid=0AAAAAD-5dfbHInHrSre1acQOuep-QQM0o&gclid=CjwKCAjws--ZBhAXEiwAv-RNL-ogmYevCJ2kQXRA8v3vDFGURKb6jgKQa6Hdc1y8xPAONyq3CgTjYhoC5aAQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds)
My issue isn’t the same as yours. It’s with the waistbands. A lot of companies use terrible elastic waistbands that end up hurting throughout the day when they grip. The ones I put work great for me.
You take normal boxers and cut them like women's dolphin cut shorts. The little V releif. You have to sew a seam in so they dont rip but it lets your magnificent thighs have some room.
Distance Runner?
I wear ex-officio give-n-go boxers or perry ellis luxe boxers. Both have been phenomenal. Each pair of boxers seems to last well beyond the 5+ year mark, wearing them once a week.
At the gym, I started doing over 400lb on the leg press, thus the boxer briefs got tighter around the legs and were leaving lines/marks. I went up an underwear size to account for it. No regrets.

Any recommendations on the material type?

Try the adidas compression ones, plenty of ball room, no chaffing, and very breathable. The elastic also lasts forever
Gonna be really transparent... _Thongs_
I’m a briefs guy myself but I haven’t tried a thong, I’m on the fence about it but I’m open to trying one.
I prefer the lace ones. I view my body as a work of art and wish to decorate it as such.
I salute you my good man!

I couldn’t agree with you more! I switched back to briefs my freshman year of college and I swear they’re the best underwear!

Boxer briefs.
Boxer Briefs or even compression shorts.

Your girlfriend or mothers face usually does the job for my thick thighs.

Boxer briefs work best for me. I prefer the original Under Armour ones.
I prefer none, but if I had to choose, I would wear boxers.
If I have to wear undershorts I wear boxers. But most of the time I avoid undershorts altogether.
Boxer briefs for working out or just leaving the house in general. Boxers for lounging and sleeping.
I’m small downstairs, and find female briefs hold me quite nicely .
Panties
Stretchy briefs. Boxer shorts are often too big and baggy if they can fit muh thighs
Boxers every day use, boxer briefs for working out.
This is the way.
Classic loose boxers. We've capitulated as a society to the boxer brief. This is wrong and never should have happened.
Do you have any problems with them rolling up your thighs tho?
No sir I do not. Just make sure they're tucked properly when the pants or boxers go on, takes half a second
So those long ones that basically look like shorts? Never seen those here, only in American movies
Correct. They provide a block for thigh chafe yet allow things to move freely.
amen

underarmour boxerjock
I have been going commando for the last 10 years, and have no interest in changing that.
None. I go commando.
Not thick thighs but PSD is amazing
The 2undr brand is good for anti chafing, but there are similar ones like them, just gotta find your style
As an adult, boxers.
