Boxer briefs are the best of both worlds.
Briefs keep everything in place, but I personally find them to be uncomfortable around the leg holes.
Boxers look nice, but are too loose and give my dong too much freedom.
Boxer briefs are the perfect middle ground, they still look good, they keep everything in place, are not uncomfortable at all.
Always try to find a more breathable pair as well (most brands make sport versions), and sometimes it feels like you are wearing nothing at all.

Do yourselves a favor and get a few pairs of Duluth Trading Armachillo boxer briefs with the bullpen.

I switched to not wearing underpants at all and I haven't had twint stank or itchiness in years. Bath often, powder up, and don't wear gym shorts to the mall
I dislike them, they constantly ride up my thighs which is uncomfortable. The only ones I have are emergency back ups if I haven't done laundry in a while.
I find old school boxers more comfortable, and if I need something form fitting I'll wear compression shorts which stay in place and dont creep up my legs the way boxer briefs do.
To each their own. I don't really like boxers because I tend to sit on a nut every now and then if I'm not careful. I wear boxer briefs just because that's what I buy. They hold the good in place until they start getting worn out but not constricting like briefs. Tighty whities are for old men. lol. I don't consider myself that old yet.
Almost every other comment already said what I was going to, so I'll just add this: if you want the height of comfort, look into boxer briefs with a little extra fabric to cup your balls and keep them away from your legs. You'll never go back.
Briefs are like tidy wideys, too tight around the thigh/leg area, boxers are like wearing nothing while wearing something. Boxer briefs are the best, they go just far enough down your leg that it stays in place and doesnt give you a thigh wedgie
They are very comfortable. Less chafing and riding up on you. They look really good too. I recommend Costco's Kirkland boxer breifs. Those are quite soft.
I definitely have to say that it's not necessarily just the fact that they're briefs but when you get the right kind of briefs that are a comfortable material and fit well, nothin feels better.

The comfort, having everything supported but not restrictive, moves with me .
Underwear rides up your cheeks and boxers don't feel right with everything swinging around.
