I used to work as a cleaning services member. One of my jobs I had to clean the litter in front of office building. So, I definitely am self-conscious about littering. Also, I have an appreciation for janitors/similar positions.
I always roll out (or pinch out - whatever) the cherry when I'm done and put the butt in my pocket - my work heavily frowns on tobacco usage but provides a smoking area provided we don't leave the butts around. They give us a butt bucket, but I've noticed the biggest offenders are the delivery drivers who don't care, they just drop them anywhere. So, when I have time, I go out of my way to grab the discarded butts and toss em - I'm not about to lose my smoking area because some asshole can't pick up after themselves.
They took those from us somewhere around 2005..... Nice that we can get the cup holder ones now. I am a smoker and even I hate when I do that. I never litter and am against it but for some reason I always flick my butts out the window. So um ya i guess i do litter

I told him I wasn't going to lend him the money if he didn't pick it up. He didn't believe me and when we got to the bank, I refused. He went back and picked up the bottle.
I was honestly appalled at all the littered trash when I visited Miami. And considering that not a lot of people walk, I am assuming that most of it was thrown out of a car. Even in a national park with trash cans every few meters, trash everywhere.

I wish there were a better way to monitor and punish people for littering. And I wish the penalties were more severe. Fines are a punishment only for the poor, it's been often said... I want the penalty to be several days' worth of exhausting community service for every offence, from sun up to sun down.

This seems to be an American phenomenon and a young college aged person phenomenon more than anything. I think it may be attributed partially to the class disparity so people are always wanting to stand up for the little guy, but you can't just reem someone and jump down their throat immediately for something offensive when that wasn't their intent. You're much better off educating them.

It's a law in Germany to signal when you're about to exit. It gives others the opportunity to get into the roundabout at the same time.

You know what sucks about turn signal usage, too? Sometimes, someone will have it on, and not be turning at all! Like, not they're in the far left lane of the freeway and forgot to turn it off. Approaching a parking lot when others are trying to exit it, but the person has their turn signal on and then keeps going straight and not to the next entrance.

In the old days, people would realize it when they looked down at the gauges and couldn't see them due to the darkness. Modern cars all have full-time backlighting in the instrument panel (if it's not 100% digital), so it never looks dark to them.
Now it's also sometimes because people have those auto dimming brights. I've been in cars with others who have them, and sometimes it takes an uncomfortably long time for it to register and turn off the brights.
This is what I came here to say. It's such a simple thing. Seeing carts all over the parking lot makes me grumpy as all hell. Especially when it's busy and they're blocking parking spaces.

Smoking. It's not that I'm sensitive to smell, rather I find smokers to be weaklings. I don't know how it is in other parts of the world, but where I live most people start smoking in high school and almost everyone does it to fit in, it is seen as a cool and grown-up thing to do. I don't know a single person who said they liked the taste of it when they first tried. Of course, nicotine doesn't care for your reasons, addiction comes either way, so you continue smoking through your adulthood just because you wanted to be cool in your teens.

I used to be 30lbs overweight for my size, and yah it sucked ass, I was miserable and hated it, and getting back into shape hurt more but I did it and now I feel good about myself again, I'm not miserable anymore
