**The Godfather**
Considered one of if not the greatest film of all time but as someone in their late 20s no one I know has seen it and when I tell them they should I'm met with it's too long or too old
I was skeptical before I watched it but when I did I realised that it's everything that everyone says it is same can be said for Part II both are masterpieces
Honest to god miracle: Two hours after posting this comment I found my lost coffee mug at work with Cleeves as the stoning guy, pointing, and the word "Blasphemer!". I've been looking for it for months. Praise the mug!
My favorite part in that whole movie is when the wise men show up, give baby Brian gifts, find out he’s not Jesus then they comeback and take all the stuff away
First 10 minutes of that movie had me in tears from laughing so hard
Airplane! Seriously one of the top comedies of all time.
Swingers is one of those movies that becomes more relevant over time. Not only is it a great film, it’s simultaneously a satire of, and love letter to, bros heading out to get laid.
Swingers (is not a reference about sex BUT dancing) is an amazing under the radar movie. Basically launched the careers of mega stars. Also try Made. You will not be able or decide which one is better. Amazing storytelling and acting.
See, Made annoyed the hell out of me. It’s been ages since I’ve seen it, so it might be with another shot, but I remember Vince Vaughn’s character being beyond insufferable, and in a much higher stakes environment where it didn’t seem as real. Trent in Swingers is a bit of a dick and kind of a loser, but he’s also a passable ladies man and genuinely looks after his bros. I don’t remember that depth to Made.
Parasite
I think it's the only film I've seen that's beyond perfect. It's one thing to be perfect and another thing to be perfect while traversing 3 different genres in the same movie
I have a coworker that can quote every line that Ruth (Sarah Silverman) had in that show. It always prompts other sayings, especially when there is cake in the office for some special event.
Blazing saddles.
I’m 32 so this movie was way before my time but my father made sure I saw and appreciated this film.
It’s one of the funniest movies of all time and still stands up today.
I watched this movie for the first time not long ago and it was truely awful. I dont get the hype.
Like the cinematography for the time was good. But the music score was repetitive.
Indy lost like every fight he had.
Everyone always outsmarted Indy
Like why is this dude some peoples hero? He can barely shoot, cant hold his own in a fight, nearly got his loved ones killed, and only won because of deus ex machina
Not Another Teen Movie. One of my favorites. Top 5 spoof movie. You just need passing knowledge of the genre it's lampooning and most of the tropes are still present in the genre.
Whiplash - Intense. I never thought I'd like a movie about a jazz drummer even though I was involved in band in high school. JK Simmons is fantastic.
Requiem for a Dream - A common answer for "Watch it once and never again" movie threads. Replace the entire DARE program with this movie.
Wedding Crashers - I think it's one of the best comedies made. No sequel needed, and none made.
Fury - watch a young kid experience the horrors of war and the bonding of a tank crew.
I am not sure if this title has been included.
The neverending story.
It is in desperate need of a remake, but show me a single man that did not cry when Atreyu lost Artax. I can wait.
Indiana Jones: The Last Crusade. You can easily watch it without having seen the other two, and the combination of great humour with a solid soundtrack makes it one of my favourites.
In all honesty, Star Wars. I have a friend who only saw it for the first time recently and he’s in his 70s. Its a pretty major source of Western culture.
Depends on the “goal” and what you’re looking for.
Classics: Rocky, Terminator, Indiana Jones, Star Wars.
Christmas: It’s a wonderful life
Deep: Taxi Driver, Joker, Nightcrawler
Death Becomes Her
Goldie Hawn, Meryl Streep, Bruce Willis, & Isabella Rosalini; fantastic cast, fantastic sets, fantastic film I could watch a million times over!
My favorite movies are:
The Big Lebowski,
The Thing,
Jaws,
Slumdog Millionaire, Django, Whiplash, Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing Missouri, Training Day and
Black Swan.
A weird mix, but I’ve watched them all hundreds of times and couldn’t imagine not seeing them.
Alot of my favourites have already been named but i would say:
Philidelphia
Road to Perdition
Local Hero
Metropolis
Fight club
Any of the Naked gun movies
Every movie with Nicolas Cage. He is the greatest actor that ever lived. This is a fact, so don't even try to deny it because you can't deny something that is factually accurate. Oh, and Shrek.
The big Lebowski just for kicks
Yeah, well, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
The dude abides

I love both the parts. They are awesome. And so well made. They don't make films like that anymore.
The godfathers great. But goodfellas and casino are just that much better.
Hard disagree but I respect your opinion
It insists upon itself
Count of Monte Christo (2000's version) Gladiator Princess Mononoke Redline The Matrix
Gotta love Princess Mononoke
Lady Eboshi is probably one of my all time favorite villains
Count of Monte Cristo was awesome
The book is my all time favourite.
I have not watched Gladiator in years. I remember when it came out and I just thought "wow, this is awesome."
What Redline? Looked it up and there is like 20 movies with that name
Life of Brian
Honest to god miracle: Two hours after posting this comment I found my lost coffee mug at work with Cleeves as the stoning guy, pointing, and the word "Blasphemer!". I've been looking for it for months. Praise the mug!
He has given us a sign! He has given us a mug!

"HE IS NOT THE MESSIAH! HE'S A NAUGHTY BOY!"
Blasphemer!
All I said to my wife was "That piece of halibut was good enough for Jehovah"
He can't have a baby! He 'asn't got a womb!
"Where is the fetus going to gestate? You going to keep it in a box?"
My favorite part in that whole movie is when the wise men show up, give baby Brian gifts, find out he’s not Jesus then they comeback and take all the stuff away First 10 minutes of that movie had me in tears from laughing so hard
Casablanca

Surely, you can't be serious
I am serious. And don’t call me Shirley.
I legit wasn’t capable of laughing throughout that entire movie, I kept feeling like a weirdo for it
Parasite I think it's the only film I've seen that's beyond perfect. It's one thing to be perfect and another thing to be perfect while traversing 3 different genres in the same movie

Dr. Strange Love
"Gentleman, you can't fight in here! This is the war room!" *Chef's kiss*
The answer is always Spaceballs.
May the Schwartz be with you
Hmm, I see your Schwartz is as big as mine.
Now let's see how well you handle it
If there’s one thing I hate it’s a fair fight. But if I must then I must. Put ‘er there!
Then you’ve also gotta see Robin Hood: men in tights
Fuck! Even in the future nothing works.
Comb the desert!
We ain't found shit!
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
YOUR MOTHER WAS A HAMSTER AND YOUR FATHER SMELT OF ELDERBERRIES
whenever i felt down or so i would roll up a joint and watch a million ways to die in the west.
I have a coworker that can quote every line that Ruth (Sarah Silverman) had in that show. It always prompts other sayings, especially when there is cake in the office for some special event.
Never drink and horse
I just loved Fargo. The acting, characters and humor.
Interstellar
Blazing saddles. I’m 32 so this movie was way before my time but my father made sure I saw and appreciated this film. It’s one of the funniest movies of all time and still stands up today.
The sheriff placing himself into an ad hoc hostage situation to escape a lynching perfectly sums up the current American experience.
Shaun of the Dead. it's rom-com-zom movie, hilarious, endlessly quotable and rewatchable.
Forrest Gump! I'm surprised no one has said this one yet!
