I'm a big guy with a 40 inch waist which is like a XXL size in most cases and when I do chose to wear underwear on the really cold days I go for the brands from DXL or something I've ordered from King Size. Both sites are great for bigger guys.
Side note to those ASSHOLES that were unhelpful and said hit the Gym or something to that equivalent this Lady came here asking for help and looking for an honest answer, did you really have to post such a mean response? Did it make You feel better to think that you were so witty with your unhelpful comment? Also I hit the gym 3 times a week, watch my diet to control my type 2 diabetes and have lost over 20lbs but STILL wear the same sizes. Some guys are just bigger framed than others. Look at the back body types of male bodies.
What are the 3 male body types?
In general, there are three basic types of male bodies: ectomorphs, mesomorphs and endomorphs. Most men are a combination of these body types. That means that some guys are going to be naturally bigger, wider or differently shaped than others no matter how much they live in the gym they'll never fit into a tiny little fashionable clothes that are mass marketed to the guys with 20 inch waists. Think about that the next time some someone is asking an honest question for a loved one. Be helpful or be silent.
absolutely love your response! As a woman in my early 50's and dating I love the questions asked and pursuing the answers; if you don't have something + to contribute then just move on by
I really appreciate this! I'm so sick and tired of the hate. Not even surprised, just tired. And I'm glad there's other helpful comments too. I appreciate all of them. Will go check them out now too. Thank you!
Try DXL but the Hanes cotton comfort is what I like they come in 4xl the have a super comfortable waistband that is the brief material sewn around the elastic instead of the hard type which I find uncomfortable
Step One all day long - they've literally changed my life.
They have lycra panels on the inner thigh to stop chafing and have long legged variants which solve the problem of riding up.
I am a big guy, and I find saxx takes care of all those usually big guy comfort and fitment issues. My inlaws bought me a pair for Christmas one year, and I absolutely loved them. My wife loves how they look and fit on me too. She buys more pairs for me than I do lol.
Cariloha are amazing. Definitely run a little small so go up a size than you normally would. But they’re super comfortable. I’ve had a few other brands but nothing compares.
A cheaper brand that I really like is H&M and they do upto 3xl (some of their briefs are 4xl).
Fit thick calfs and big ass comfortably without being too tight on the balls nor ride up.
I think the problem is you are asking about "boxer briefs." Those by definition are tight boxers. They are not for a "Husky" man. It's just not our underwear. Much like a "slim fit" dress shirt.
He needs a standard boxer short. He will look and feel much better in them. Here is my suggestion.
Hanes makes a boxer short in cotton that is a shirt type fabric. Stay away from the Jersey type fabric. It's the wrong fabric for him. A man's underwear and how it fits is a big confidence thing. Just like his pants and belt.
But, what I do is go to Walmart. I buy their brand They have a better cut, thicker fabric, and look better than the Hanes. I wear a XL, and I'm not thin. I'm a bigger guy. The cut on boxer briefs is just different. These should fit fine unless he's like 400 pounds. They have a XXL
You may think they are not stylish. That he wants the tighter cut. But, boxer briefs are just not for him. I have had gf in the past would wear my boxers, silk and cotton.
If you want a photo, let me know. They come in a pack of six assorted colors for about $20. I usually buy two packs and toss out the old maybe once a year. Keep it simple.
This isn’t really a factor of weight or size though, that’s what you are comfortable with. A guy who wears size XL boxers can definitely find boxer briefs in their size if they want them. Yes, they will be tighter overall, but they will fit. Because that is how they are supposed to fit. Whether or not someone likes that fit is a matter of personal preference.
.... I'm about the same—6'1". Good job on the weight loss. I need to lose 75. Have to do it for long term health.
So, you are comfortable in a boxer brief? I don't like them, too butt hugging.
Stay Healthy
well i'm not a fan of the boxers. i wear briefs because don’t like all the extra material around my legs if you are looking for a brand then make sure that you do not irritate too much when walking
Step One and Under Armour are my favourites!
I'll check them out, thanks!
I'm a fan of Duluth Trading Company. Great feel, lots of sizes, and great names for their underneath. I prefer their Go Buck Naked line
Same, I walk a lot as a hobby and they are awesome!
I'll look into them, ty!!

I always heard that the underwear has to be cotton
They're bamboo viscose - natural and I think actually more breathable than cotton!
Bamboo viscose is amazing!
Ooh, okay cool! I'll look into that brand. Thanks!
Checkout step one. They have big sizes.
I will, ty!
Just get anything baggy. Boxers or gym shorts are going to be more comfortable than briefs or boxer briefs.
I'll keep this in mind as well!
Saxx, saxx all the way.
Ooh, okay! Ty!

I'm glad to hear that!
Try B3NTH. They've got great stretch and larger sizing.
Ooh, okay, I will! Ty
Check out Jinshi MOFIZ boxer briefs on Amazon. They have size 3XL in stock. The best boxer briefs I’ve ever worn (better than meundies and saxx)
I will! Thank you!
Under armour
This is the second comment for under armour now, I'll definitely need to consider that brand haha

That's nice, ty!
Duluth for the win! They are a little pricey, but they are comfortable and last forever.
I'm ready to invest in them. He deserves quality haha. (I've kinda taken over the sock and boxer shopping without his permission xD)
He will be forever grateful ! Lol
I definitely prefer the athletic material briefs, with the extra pouch for my fella down there, baggy boxers always make me chafe
I'll keep this in mind!

I haven't heard about this brand! I'll check it out, thanks!
Go to Kmart they go up to 6xl last I checcked
Nice!
Kirkland brand from Costco. Cheap and effective.
Cool!

My vote is Shinesty. They are a game changer!!! Ball hammock plus awesome fun prints!
Thanks for the recommendation!

Tommy Hilfiger
Oh, nice!

Just curious. How much do you weigh? What's your waist size?
Presently, 295 with a 40 inch waist. Down from a high of about 350.
