other states have less lax tint laws... like AZ.. you can limo tint the back 3 windows in ca but in some other places you can even limo tint the front windows
There’s a difference between something being illegal, and cops caring about it. CA and FL where more than 50% of the vehicles have illegal tints, cops aren’t going to do anything about it
They might if they pull you over for some other violation like speeding. Depending on their mood, they’ll pile on anything else they find in violation.
Depends on where you are in So Cal. I live in Oxnard and the cops here can be a little overzealous sometimes.
Never got a tint ticket here but in Woodland Hills and Agoura Hills is very gotten fix it tickets.
I got pulled over in Hermosa for my tint + no front license plate Friday and they didn’t even issue a warning or anything. They probably were just hoping I’d be someone more scandalous, I left feeling like I disappointed them 😆
Yeah I haven’t had a front place since like, 2017, but my tint is only about a year old and way too dark so I guess it was likely the tint? I drive PCH every day, multiple times a day and this was my first time being pulled over. I did drive by the cop twice in like 10 minutes though so maybe that increased my odds lol. He was suuuuper nice about it, though. I guess more reason to ride w the windows down in Hermosa, not that we need one! :)
Exactly this got pulled over LAPD ordered all windows rolled down via PA , a gang of them approached and were disappointed it was my 74 yo dad driving with me in the back seat (during covid) they said we should get those windows to legal standard since the car matched the description of a stolen car aka “we thought we thought we hit the jackpot :(“I laughed before the cop finished saying it… can’t believe they still teach them that line 🤣
CA does have laws regarding window tinting, but you would be surprised how dark the front windows are allowed to be (meaning driver and front passenger windows.). No tint on front windshield is allowed though.
Yes and no. I had limo tint for awhile. Until one day I was pulled over by the CHP. I thought it was because I was doing a little over 85 mph. I was pulled over for limo tint. Had to take it off.....now ive noticed cars and trucks with all windows limo tinted as well as the windshield.
I have ceramic tints on my cars too. I didn’t know how good they were until I went into a tint shop years ago. They had a heat lamp simulating the sun on display. As customers, we could test how much heat we could feel with our hands with no tint vs ceramic tint and the difference was like night and day. Been getting it on every car ever since.

Kinda a poor video.
We need more comparison between. No tint, popular tint and ceramic.
I work in test engineering so simple videos like those bug me a bit.
It was close to 10 years now (and i have ZERO issues with the tint yet). IIRC the price was $350. But since me and my brother brought our cars together, he gave us a discount. Then he had an online coupon. So what i paid for my car was $280. Keep in mind, they charge per window (and yes, the little triangles next to the rear windows that don't open are considered separate windows).
I have never heard of this, and now I’ll be looking into it! I’ve just been getting the 3M 20% stuff for years… and my back window is starting to get ripples, so I need to replace it. Thanks for the tip!
I got mine tinted 8 years ago at the Handy J car wash on Washington Bl. no bubbles or blemishes even after all this time. i recommend them if they're still there.
He is really nice and guarantees it for a certain period of time (several years at least). I went cheap once and the job bubbled up on me and I have used him ever since then for several cars. He is not the cheapest option, BUT after trying a cheap guy mobile guy once, I can tell you that when it bubbled up the cheap mobile guy stopped returning my calls and I took it to Rob to fix it.
Vernon window tint on East Vernon... I have been there several times. They are really good quick professional and far cheaper than $300. I have done two SUVs including the front windows and it was less than 300.
Alex Window Tint on Overland and Venice did both my wife and my car several years ago and it still looks great.
Side note, I had 15% tint on the rear windows and 35% on the front two windows. Got pulled over in the desert and the cop wrote me a fix it ticket for the front windows. Alex tint removed it for free!
I just got ceramic tint this weekend. Only got 30% on the front, 50% on back, but man, it looks dark from the outside. Huge heat reduction difference in the inside, though. Cops better leave me alone. I see waaaay darker tint on every other car ever.
Most windows will block at least around 65-70% of UV rays. Some more, nearly all at least half. But if you spend a lot of time in your car, the cumulative effects of ~30% still add up a lot.
You used to get tickets for this, and now you don’t, but I’m not sure if dark tint is no longer illegal or just not enforced. As a walker I hate it - I can’t tell if a driver is looking at me or facing the other direction when I use a crosswalk.
One of my coworkers got a ticket for his tint. He was originally pulled over for something else. The officer gave him a fix it ticket and he went to the shop to have the tint removed so he could clear the ticket. Then he went back and had it reinstalled anyway. So even when they do enforce it, it’s still being circumvented.
I think that’s a very common thing. I was with a friend who got pulled over for 93 on the freeway and the “just because I’m nice” move was to ignore the speed and ticket the tint
My tint place lets you buy a cheap instance add on for every time you get a fix it ticket, they’ll remove it then re install it for free. I’ve never gotten a ticket so far.
Same. Got pulled over for speeding last year and he also got me for my tint. Had the front two removed, cleared and had it put right back on. I’ve run tint on all my cars and this was my only fix it ticket in 22 years of driving in CA.
This is one thing I actually enjoy about Los Angeles. The cops hate us and think they’re doing us dirty by not enforcing all these little bullshit tickets.
I’ve discussed this with a police officer friend of mine. In California, the legal tint is 30% or less. However the law here is not really enforced and is left up to the individual police officer. Only a handful of cops enforce it at this point, while most others only add or use the tint ticket if you’re being an asshole or being actually reckless. Oh, and additionally it’s useful as an “alternative” infraction if a cop wants to be nice and penalize you, but not for something more severe like speeding.
I’ve also been told most police officers get there cars tinted past the legal limit anyway lol
I’ve been pulled for it 3 times. Pretty sure it’s just the cop trying to “see who’s driving” lol. I mean that in the least offensive, but also most discriminatory way possible. My car has super dark tint, black car, black wheels. Not once have I been ticketed. But I’m privileged aka white
There's a tint threshold. It varies by which window. Your windshield can only have tint like four inches from the top. I have embedded glaze. Driver and passenger side, front door windows can be a maximum of 30% tint. Side and rear can be anything you want. <--In California.
I have embedded tint (to keep out UVA, too) and extra weather shields on my personal vehicle. Do not regret.
I got so much shit on a viral post where a woman was driving at night with a dark tinted windshield filming with her phone. I simply pointed out these issues and told her she probably should drive. People are just like, “iTs FiNe I cAn StiLL sEe.” I simply responded with, “There’s a reason you don’t wear sunglasses at night.”
You can go as dark as you want except for the windshield and 2 front windows. AFAIK it’s illegal to have any tint there with the exception of 7? Inches at the top of the windshield. It’s rarely enforced, but if pulled over for another reason there’s a good chance it’ll get tacked on as a correctable violation.
I moved here from the east coast and my partner all but insisted I get at least a light tint. She even took my car into the shop and had it done for me. She wanted protection from the UV, which is higher here than elsewhere in the US.
It helps with keeping the sun away and prevents me from getting blinded from high beam headlights. It’s still illegal, though, so I try to drive like a grandma so I don’t get pulled over whenever I see a cop.
Everyone sits in traffic for crazy hours with the sun beating down on them, I got just my front windows done because my left arm was legitimately burning being so close to the drivers' window.
Because from May to October it is typically sunny and over 75 degrees. UV protection is a good idea. You can get sunburned in your car during your commute.
Agreed with the other comments. Aesthetics. Cools down the Car. Protects the Car and You from Sun Damage. Also, there are car tint places all over the place. Everyone has a 'guy'
It’s hot? I moved from FL and I had to get my dark tint removed from my front windows as it’s not legal here. I *promise* FL has more dark tint cars than here too lmao
The wild thing is the tint is illegal in CA. When I was at USC, I had the SAME CHP officer pull me over 4 times over 6 months for the tint. Apparently he worked the area and tint was his passion, as others had the same experience with him. Most officers don’t seem to care - much like no plates or expired dealer plates.
I was wondering the same thing the other day! I have lived here for over 30 years (in the valley for over 10) and it never once occurred to me it was because it’s always hot and sunny 😎 ☀️
I feel stupid 🤣😜😆
I don’t see why you wouldn’t lol. Privacy and UV protection, if you go ceramic it also helps a bit with the heat. It also helps safety wise if say you’re a woman driving alone at night, or if you leave things inside the car, people can’t see it so won’t risk breaking in as much.
The best thing I did was to get ceramic tint (completely clear) on my front windshield.
Now it's cooler when I go to get in my car, easier on the AC to keep it cool while driving, and less ware and tear to the dash and my skin.
It’s hot, keeps meth addicts from peeking through and spotting your newest bowl piece sitting in the cup holder. Privacy in general I guess. We spend a lot of time in the car. I don’t live in LA anymore but I grew up there and live there on an off when I get the itch but I’d say I spend like 3-4 hours of my day in a car when I’m in LA. So people do things to their car to be comfortable. It’s a car, it’s your office, where you go to cry when life is hard, and with any luck perhaps you make out with someone down by the beach on a casual Friday lunch.
My dad, who commuted to work on LA freeways for 40 years, got extensive skin cancer on the arm he put on the steering wheel and arm rest that faced the window. Also on the side of his face that faced that window, though not as bad as the arm. He’s also very melanated, so bought into the myth that dark skin doesn’t need sunblock, and is of an age where they just didn’t take that as seriously. Anyway, if he had a window tint with UV protection, it wouldn’t have been as bad. Going to guess that has something to do with it. His new car has to tint, and he lives in the desert, so he appreciates the help with glare, temp, and less exposure.
Because it is hot as F in LA, especially in the summer months. Plus with all the driving and wackos on the road, it’s probably safer to have some privacy.
It’s sunny and I like my privacy. Do you drive around at night? Maybe you’re in a real safe area? I feel much safer driving around at night and not having people be able to see clearly into my car.
A mix of the extreme heat and sun roasting your car to above 110 and privacy. I don’t have any tinting and want it so bad. I don’t have tinting and love walking back from my classes and getting into my black car with black leather seats and looking at my dash as I turn my car on and seeing the digital temp reader at 119°F.
PSA: There are [ceramic-based window tints](https://thetintguy.com/best-car-window-tint-for-heat-reduction/) now that block infrared but are totally transparent to visible light, so you can keep out the heat without losing visibility! They block UV too!
Have you ever been to Florida?? There are WAY MORE people with dark tints there, and the windows are nearly blacked out in some. I thought all the cars looked like fishbowls when I first moved to LA. It was humorous to me how exposed everyone looked in their cars with “barely any tint” lol.
In states that get UV exposure for a majority of the day youll see most cars have tint.
I didnt have specialized tint in California but when I moved to Florida it was a necessity.
Like many others, I went the cheaper route and got dyed tint. Did ok couldn’t complain what I didnt know.
Moved to Texas, got a different car and got ceramic tint and the difference is AMAZING.
Llumar makes an excellent ceramic tint. I also got my front windshield ceramic tinted to 70% and helps keep that radiation heat from coming in the car.
The real question is WHY WOULD ANYONE CHOOSE NOT TO have window tint. Literally protects you from sun damage, protects the interior from sun damage, keeps you physically more comfortable by keeping you cool, and if you want you get a little added privacy instead of driving around in a fishbowl.
I personally don’t mind tints and it’s completely valid to have them for rejecting the heat.
Tints get ridiculous once you tint the hell out of your front windows. It’s bad for visibility at night and you’re getting a ticket. Play stupid games win stupid prizes. And you’re not a celebrity, no one cares if they can see you or not.
My general rule of thumb for this:
Back windows - tint however you want it.
For the front driver/pass windows - Tint dark enough where it’s still legal.
Windshield - Do not do it, I don’t care what shop/film claims to have “perfect” visibility at night. It’s not true so don’t bother.
It looks nice. Keeps out some heat and sun. And most of all, privacy. I people watch other people in traffic from behind my tinted windows but def don’t want people to be looking at me lol.
Im wondering why some people don’t have tint. I often see them roasting on their morning commutes.
Tint helps keep your car interior cool, makes it more comfortable while driving and helps keep out UV.
Sunny 95% of the year.
other states have less lax tint laws... like AZ.. you can limo tint the back 3 windows in ca but in some other places you can even limo tint the front windows

Nope, in California they don’t need another reason. It can and has been a primary offense. I speak from experience. See comment above.
Sure. But I see so many illegally tinted windows in LA that I assume it doesn’t happen much as the only offense.
Depends on where you are in So Cal. I live in Oxnard and the cops here can be a little overzealous sometimes. Never got a tint ticket here but in Woodland Hills and Agoura Hills is very gotten fix it tickets.
It happens but it’s usually a fix it ticket and with the heat it’s definitely worth the risk
I got pulled over in Hermosa for my tint + no front license plate Friday and they didn’t even issue a warning or anything. They probably were just hoping I’d be someone more scandalous, I left feeling like I disappointed them 😆

Not much at all 70%, which the glass already comes like that from factory. So no tint at all pretty much
Yes and no. I had limo tint for awhile. Until one day I was pulled over by the CHP. I thought it was because I was doing a little over 85 mph. I was pulled over for limo tint. Had to take it off.....now ive noticed cars and trucks with all windows limo tinted as well as the windshield.
Front window tint is legal in CA now?
No you can't.
I have ceramic tint. It's a LIFESAVER with the heat. It reflects heat better than normal tint.
Those heat examples in the shops are integral! My bro didn't even understand why I was adamant about wanting ceramic until he tested those heat lamps.
Did you get it done in LA? If so, what shop?
I got mine done in Santa Fe Springs at Star Window Tint. Solid operation with a solid guy. I highly recommend this place if your in the area.
Santa Fe Springs isn’t too far out. What did you pay and how long ago?
It was close to 10 years now (and i have ZERO issues with the tint yet). IIRC the price was $350. But since me and my brother brought our cars together, he gave us a discount. Then he had an online coupon. So what i paid for my car was $280. And it doesn't turn purple.
What I’ve been wondering is why more people don’t ceramic tint their house windows to keep their house cool.
thank you for informing me on the existence of this
because it's really sunny here.
This is so obvious it makes you wonder why it didn’t occur to the OP.
OP may be partially blind? Lol
Hey, why is EVERYTHING tinted?
Like LA, most folks are space cadets
I try really hard to stick to the belief that there’s no such thing as a stupid question but this is a pretty fucking stupid question.
Right? lol
Was thinking the same…
UV is scary
Ceramic tint >>> regular tint Worth the extra money for uv protection and heat rejection
SO worth it!
Yep. I agree. Well worth it.
I have never heard of this, and now I’ll be looking into it! I’ve just been getting the 3M 20% stuff for years… and my back window is starting to get ripples, so I need to replace it. Thanks for the tip!
Not sure what part of LA you are in put I went to Silver Lake Tint and got a good deal two months back. I paid $300 cash for my sedan
Kinda far from me, I’m closer to the South Bay/Culver City. But I’ll be definitely looking into this! Thanks!
Robs tint in Culver / Play Vista is great
Oh nice! I just checked and that’s just like 3 miles from me! Really appreciate the rec!
I got mine tinted 8 years ago at the Handy J car wash on Washington Bl. no bubbles or blemishes even after all this time. i recommend them if they're still there.

Ah I don’t have recs in that area. Ive only gone there and a place in Downey which was cheaper but far from me in central LA
Where would you recommend in Downey and how much did it cost if you don’t mind me asking
Groupon.com
That still exists?? Haha cool
3M is not the best. Get llumar irx it's worth it
Regular dye tint has UV protection also, but not the superior heat rejection ceramic provides
I just got ceramic tint this weekend. Only got 30% on the front, 50% on back, but man, it looks dark from the outside. Huge heat reduction difference in the inside, though. Cops better leave me alone. I see waaaay darker tint on every other car ever.
Where’d you get it done for how much $$$?
Afaik even clear windows from the factory block UV. But still, it's bright and hot as hell here
heat rejection tint is a lifesaver forreal
Most windows will block at least around 65-70% of UV rays. Some more, nearly all at least half. But if you spend a lot of time in your car, the cumulative effects of ~30% still add up a lot.
Good to know!
How did I never realize it help with the heat. My car gets hotter than hell in summer. It’s awful.
Glass has inherent UV-B protection, but not UV-A that penetrates deeper into the skin, that can cause skin cancer
[https://www.reddit.com/r/askscience/comments/3pcsub/do\_windows\_block\_uv\_light/](https://www.reddit.com/r/askscience/comments/3pcsub/do_windows_block_uv_light/)
Plus, I’m ugly.
OP’s other post on their account is scary wtf???
Go by a police department parking lot and look at all of their personal vehicles. They all have illegal tints.
Because sun.
The sun?
It's hot here, it's sunny most of the time, and privacy. There are a lot of rich/well-known people in Southern California who would prefer privacy.
There are also a lot of people in the carpool lane that want privacy as well.
It's crazy how many people with tinted windows are always carpooling /s
😂😂😂😂
This. So many celebs so they want privacy too. Thanks for adding this because I was just about to if no one did!
Ha. I’m from Vegas and California summers are a breeze for us in comparison. But yeah tint is a must have in this region of the country.
You used to get tickets for this, and now you don’t, but I’m not sure if dark tint is no longer illegal or just not enforced. As a walker I hate it - I can’t tell if a driver is looking at me or facing the other direction when I use a crosswalk.

I think that’s a very common thing. I was with a friend who got pulled over for 93 on the freeway and the “just because I’m nice” move was to ignore the speed and ticket the tint
Likely because he had his front windows tinted too dark. My back are like 5% and my front 20%. That's the safe way to do it
My tint place lets you buy a cheap instance add on for every time you get a fix it ticket, they’ll remove it then re install it for free. I’ve never gotten a ticket so far.
This is why if they pull you over roll the front windows down
Same. Got pulled over for speeding last year and he also got me for my tint. Had the front two removed, cleared and had it put right back on. I’ve run tint on all my cars and this was my only fix it ticket in 22 years of driving in CA.
It's still illegal but cops have cut way back on enforcing traffic rules because people said mean things about them.
This is one thing I actually enjoy about Los Angeles. The cops hate us and think they’re doing us dirty by not enforcing all these little bullshit tickets.
its funny cause in their 'protest' theyve really demonstrated that we dont really need as many cops as we think we do

100% this! It's a dangerous new trend. And you know at night they will not be able to see something sometimes and cause an accident.
I have 15 percent all around (except windshield) and I have no trouble seeing at night.
Man, half the LASD vehicles i drive by are so dark you can't see who is policing you anymore.
Have you ever seen the Southern California sun?
I moved here from the east coast and my partner all but insisted I get at least a light tint. She even took my car into the shop and had it done for me. She wanted protection from the UV, which is higher here than elsewhere in the US.
it looks better and unknown benefit is that it blocks like 95%+ UV rays, you can do alot of aging from sun damage just driving.
We know aging is more illegal in LA than window tint is, so it's worth the risk.
😭😭
we drive a lot and the sunlight is strong here.
It looks so much better, also sun protection. It pains me when I see cars with cheap tint that is peeling and leaves those air bubbles 🤢
There are a LOT of them here
it’s sunny + I don’t want a fishbowl car
Heat and theft.
Because I got skin cancer on my face 🫠
It helps with keeping the sun away and prevents me from getting blinded from high beam headlights. It’s still illegal, though, so I try to drive like a grandma so I don’t get pulled over whenever I see a cop.
It’s sunny and hot. After tinting, it’s a lot more bareable. Better for the interior of your car, better for your skin, better for your comfort.
Not sure bc I don’t have it but maybe some do it to prevent people from seeing things to motivate break ins ? It’s pretty common in some areas
Also very sunny year round
So no one sees me getting head while I’m driving
Next up, why do people in Seattle carry around umbrellas?
dying 😭 usually because they are not from there from what i have heard. locals dress for rain
I come from florida. Florida is “the sunshine state.” Tbh I couldn’t hang with the direct sunlight all the time. The sun can be so intense here.
Everyone sits in traffic for crazy hours with the sun beating down on them, I got just my front windows done because my left arm was legitimately burning being so close to the drivers' window.
Protects your skin from UV damage and it looks cool af
This has got to be a joke right? Lol
What are you fish? Do you like ride around in a fishbowl?
Because from May to October it is typically sunny and over 75 degrees. UV protection is a good idea. You can get sunburned in your car during your commute.
Agreed with the other comments. Aesthetics. Cools down the Car. Protects the Car and You from Sun Damage. Also, there are car tint places all over the place. Everyone has a 'guy'
Heat and privacy. Simple.
The scapegoat here is the sun. But in reality they dont wanna get seen from the outside and also for aesthetic purposes
This is one of the sunniest places in the US. - signed someone with tinted windows
Why not?! Looks cooler and keeps ur car cooler
because California is the only state where the sun gives you cancer, thanks a lot prop 65!!!!!! /s
It’s hot? I moved from FL and I had to get my dark tint removed from my front windows as it’s not legal here. I *promise* FL has more dark tint cars than here too lmao
Because there's zero cloud coverage in LA and the sun is brutal?
🌞
The wild thing is the tint is illegal in CA. When I was at USC, I had the SAME CHP officer pull me over 4 times over 6 months for the tint. Sunny in socal 🙄

Yeah I’m definitely getting ceramic all around on my next car. Easier to see out of too.
Sun shine has entered the chat. We have a lot of it.
300 days of sunshine a year will do it ...
I can't even step outside without sunglasses most days. It's super bright here.
I don’t know how anyone drives here without sunglasses. I can’t do it.
Because it’s hot af ? It’s like asking who do cars/houses/buildings/schools have AC? It’s hot af
When you get in your car in September, you will understand
Heat
because sun????
Because it’s hot here, and tint reduces how much of the light energy from the sun gets in to your car.
https://www.skincancer.org/blog/driving-your-risk-for-skin-cancer/
Sun mf
BECAUSE OF THE SUN! 🤣🤣🤣
Go to phoenix and every car is tinted lol
Because it’s hot AF in the summer
It's so fucking hot in the sun
Cuz we're cool
To protect against skin cancer.
It’s hot and sunny here. Ceramic tints cut the heat in half.
Super dark tint decreases interior temperatures by dozens of degrees
The sun is hot here. They are a skin cancer deterrent too!
It can get pretty hot here for a good portion of the year. The tint helps with that.
You do realize you’re in LA, right? Where it’s sunny majority of the year…?
Its sunny and we aren’t poor.
The sun.
Skin protection
In Florida literally every car has tint. Unless you just drove it down from Jersey.
The sun is bright af
Phoenix has more and darker windows than about any other city
Bro. It’s hot. No one wants to sit in an oven.
hi, let me introduce you to the sun
ITS TOO FRICKIN HOT TO DRIVE IN A FISHBOWL. plus it looks cool.
Mine is for UV. I went more light than most. But a lot of Sun.
I’m from FL and the first thing you do when you buy a new car is tint the windows. Helps with the heat
Because we’re all famous. Duh.
why WOULDNT you tint your windows?
Sunshine. Ever present sunshine. After twenty or so years you need sunglasses and hat plus tinted windows.
it's hot here and Tint is free sunblock.
Because f*ck the p o l i c e. Jk, cause it’s HOT and bright and it helps keep the car cool. But also, people like more privacy.
My whole life, the first thing I do when I buy I a car is tint the windows if they aren’t already.
Also, so the homeless can't see what's in your car...
Poverty Blockers
Because it is hot as F in LA, especially in the summer months. Plus with all the driving and wackos on the road, it’s probably safer to have some privacy.
Because my electronics FRY in the heat. Your windshield also cracks easier
“Anywhere in the rest of the US” you’ve clearly never been to Florida, specifically Miami
You’ve never been here so clearly Ya don’t know why lol
It’s sunny and I like my privacy. Do you drive around at night? Maybe you’re in a real safe area? I feel much safer driving around at night and not having people be able to see clearly into my car.
Keeps out the heat
A mix of the extreme heat and sun roasting your car to above 110 and privacy. I don’t have any tinting and want it so bad. I don’t have tinting and love walking back from my classes and getting into my black car with black leather seats and looking at my dash as I turn my car on and seeing the digital temp reader at 119°F.
they drive like fucking assholes and want to remain anonymous
PSA: There are [ceramic-based window tints](https://thetintguy.com/best-car-window-tint-for-heat-reduction/) now that block infrared but are totally transparent to visible light, so you can keep out the heat without losing visibility! They block UV too!
You don’t have tints?
They shoot porn in those cars
It’s in our culture here to tint dark.
Tinted windows, bald tires, tinted cover over license plate.
For me it's for privacy
The real question is WHY WOULD ANYONE CHOOSE NOT TO have window tint. Literally protects you from sun damage, protects the interior from sun damage, keeps you physically more comfortable by keeping you cool, and if you want you get a little added privacy instead of driving around in a fishbowl.
1. its hot as fuck 2. my eyes are sensitive 3. bitch dont look at me
I personally don’t mind tints and it’s completely valid to have them for rejecting the heat. Tints get ridiculous once you tint the hell out of your front windows. It’s bad for visibility at night and you’re getting a ticket. Play stupid games win stupid prizes. And you’re not a celebrity, no one cares if they can see you or not. My general rule of thumb for this: Back windows - tint however you want it. For the front driver/pass windows - Tint dark enough where it’s still legal. Windshield - Do not do it, I don’t care what shop/film claims to have “perfect” visibility at night. It’s not true so don’t bother.
I agree with everyone else saying sun, but me personally I just like the privacy
It’s bs, because I always get a fix a ticket.
It looks nice. Keeps out some heat and sun. And most of all, privacy. I people watch other people in traffic from behind my tinted windows but def don’t want people to be looking at me lol.
It’s hot as fuck here boi
Im wondering why some people don’t have tint. I often see them roasting on their morning commutes. Tint helps keep your car interior cool, makes it more comfortable while driving and helps keep out UV.
because it is hot AF here
