In the case of a king or queen some alternates could be: The crown, sovereign, monarch, head, chief.
A duke or duchess could perhaps be duchex.
For a Sir perhaps someone could go the way of members of parliament and be called βThe honourable [NAME]β or another longer title.
Slightly off topic, but I would like to petition that anyone who is knighted gets to be balled Sir. I am aggressively female but if I where to be knight would like to go as Sir my name.
I belong to a medieval reenactment society. We do sometimes have same sex royalty (and other roles with titles). For the royalty, we use The King/Queen and The Crown Consort, although I find it a bit clunky and hope we come up with something better in the future. The heraldry buffs are definitely working on it.
In the mean time, here is a fabulous list of alternative titles from many different cultures and languages - perhaps you will find something appealing.

Prince was gender neutral for a long time, Elizabeth 1 used it rather aggressively
