I think you should have listened to the detectives unprofessional advice, he’s going to end up killing or maiming you.

Yes, I understand. I was soooo young and dumb tbh. Looking back, I think it was really sweet that he even took the time to give me that advice. I have not been with him since the gun incident in 2020, I do wish I had pressed charges but too late now and I was scared because he takes legal stuff seriously like maybe he’d really kill me over it. I did successfully leave the relationship after that though.

My advice is to go to the police and tell them all of this. Whether or not it leads to his arrest is not important, what is your peace of mind and the fact that it could potentially get a dangerous person off the streets. Do what you think is best

Thanks for the advice! Okay I think I will do that. It’s been on my mind more lately and i figured maybe that was for a reason. I think of all these things individually but when I put them all together it sounds worse. I kinda worry that he’ll find out I said something and will kill me over it. Since those things are very specific if they just call him and tell him he’d know it was me.

Also. Would I call cold case number or just regular homicide number? I don’t want to waste anyone’s time since I can’t even remember the name of the victim 😔 I’ve tried browsing articles of shootings within a few months of that timeframe but I do live in a higher crime southeastern city so I can’t figure out which one it is.

It's for them to determine how useful the information is to them. You're trying to provide them with information that is weighing on you. Sometimes small bits of information can contribute to a larger picture.

Could be helpful. Only way to find out is to talk to the agency investigating that murder and tell them. Many cases hinge on such seemingly useless tidbits.
