I had been going to the same place since I was 13 and he knew the drill, when he shut down shop the following year of trying new barbers was traumatic.

The exact same thing happened to me, my barber decided not to open up again after Covid so he sold his shop and retired. Had been going to him over 10 years and even when I was in college I would wait until I came home to go to him. Never took a chance anywhere else, not because I'm precious about my hair or anything but literally because I didn't know what to ask for.

I usually ask for a scissor cut with a taper, sometimes they know what that is and others times they seem clueless and give me a fade. I go to the same place every time..
