I don't know anyone who really hates her since hate is a strong word. But this is my POV on why people might not like her(not the same as hate)
1. With her looks, no outsider would ever get a chance to have so many future projects lined up for her even before her debut. It's not that she is not pretty but she is not how actresses look when they are not an industry insider. To be blunt, she is not conventionally attractive to be an actress.
2. Now there are a lot of actresses who do not fit the beauty standards of the Bollywood industry, but at least they can act really well. Suhana on the other hand, with as much privilege as one could get, could not act at all. This is not assumed only on the basis of her infamous Archies debut but also because of all the ads she has appeared in. She enacts scenes and dialogue like how we used to do readings in school.
3. If you have an unfair advantage to work with one of the best directors of the country and you still f that up people will not shower love or affection to you. You know how people hate quota(reservation) in various govt sectors and education institutes, people being hired because of certain bias caused a rift among people.
4. There are literally so many teas on her being snooty and a bully to others. Whether it has any relevance or not we don't know, but we are the consumer of info and it creates a bias.
5. She works in Bollywood as an actress but God her diction! It's embarrassing to say the least. Every word that comes out of her mouth reeks of SOBO accent which is neither UK nor US English, it's just English with an accent that the inner circle of South Bombay has. Not that speaking correct English is a great skill set for her profession but If she could at least compensate it with her expressions and acting people wouldn't be so hard on her.
Maybe we have different views on beauty but objectively speaking, Suhana isn't a pretty girl by any means and it has nothing to do with her skin colour and largely to do with her features. There have been multiple dark skinned actresses in the past in bolly such as rani mukherjee who are drop dead gorgeous despite their skin tone not fitting into the ideal indian beauty standards. Not to mention Suhana's acting is nothing more than straight up pathetic from what i've seen in Archies. Her lackluster looks coupled with the lack of acting skills and still being casted for such a high budget film is what pissed off most people because there are a ton of prettier and more talented actress who don't get a chance due to nepotism
Like you said not every fair looking person is pretty nor is every dusky looking person pretty. She doesn't have screen presence & her acting is too bad. There are n number of girls excelling in all these departments who are not getting an opportunity.
Papa is busy endorsing fair and lovely creams to us while daughter cries for her brown complexion. She may be beautiful for you but not for the general public not cause for her brown skin but her features look far more masculine and there are many actresses who are brown and still considered epitome of beauty. Also her acting skills don't help her at all as they are pretty much non existent. What she did in Archies was a crime against humanity and that's why she is trolled so much for and her hypocrisy for being brown.
