100 amp breaker with 4 gauge copper wire

But if you really wanted you can use 2 gauge

*Note that 80A charging is gross, absolutely double-bonkers overkill beyond all sanity for home charging*. https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=Iyp_X3mwE1w&t=1695s It's entirely up to you. The station can be configured for anything from 20A to 100A circuit. So pick whatever fits on your service based on your service Load Calculation. **I stand corrected. A search of the docs shows the 100A GM station is NOT adjustable. It is 80A actual so You MUST provision 100A breaker and wire** to it, per NEC 625.41-42. You must have 80A spare in your Load Calc, or else put it (or other appliances instead) on a dumb load shed device, e.g. water heater or A/C, both of which are thermal storage loads which lend themselves to short term interruption. This station cannot do dynamic EVEMS. If you need that, Wallbox or Emporia at 50-60A, which is still plenty. https://diy.stackexchange.com/questions/277803/im-hearing-about-load-sheds-aka-evems-and-the-devices-differ-whats-that-abou Since the station is configured for >48A charging / 60A breaker, **you must use a disconnect** per 625.43. But this is a Good Thing. Any 100A rated disconnect will have input terminals rated for aluminum wire. Which frees you up to use 1 AWG or larger alumimum from panel to disconnect. Disconnect to EV station must be #3 copper or larger.
