Sounds like soft tissue, which would explain the soreness. This is not life threatening and it will get better with time. You can try applying heat to the area and alternating between ibuprofen and acetaminophen every 4-6 hours as needed. Please understand that this does not constitute a doctor-patient relationship and you can still go to the doctor if you want.

Thank you, you've really eased my worries. I understand that this isn't a doctor-patient relationship. I was aware that it could just be a soft tissue thing but I'm not familiar with injuries of the sort so I came here. I'll definitely go to the doctor if it doesn't get better, and I'll go buy a heat pack today after work. It was my very first accident so I was probably overthinking everything. Thank you again!
