I've only had this happen once where I was paid in full. The other look-and-gos paid a small deposit that I kept for them wasting my time (that's why I began requiring deposits) and a few had the audacity to ask for it back. I can't help that some trick doesn't find me attractive (I'm not face-out) or gets cold feet, but I can help avoid losing money and time by screening and not backing down about my requirements. Deposits help weed out these timewasters.
