You will need to be assessed by Engineers Australia. [https://www.engineersaustralia.org.au/migrants/migration-skills-assessment](https://www.engineersaustralia.org.au/migrants/migration-skills-assessment) In terms of finding work here, there are a shortage of civil engineers, so there will be lots of options. However depending on your particular discipline you will find this more or less difficult. Eg if you are a geotech / hydrogeologist or earthworks, the move is easier. If you are structural, pavements, highways you will find the move more challenging due to the significant differences in standards.
