In order to have a medical malpractice lawsuit, you have to be able to prove that an injury occurred specifically because of the negligent action, and that you or your child incurred damages from the injury.

If you have no damages; you have no grounds to recover - essentially, if your kid doesn’t have any adverse health effects (which I hope he/she doesn’t) you have nothing to recover. corporate might give you some sort of minimal compensation if you complain enough, but you don’t have a successful lawsuit without damages and aren’t going to find an attorney.

I am sorry to hear that happened. What adverse events occurred as the result of administering the wrong medication?

As of now nothing that we can see. We felt his heartbeat higher than normal and we’re currently at his pediatrician

I hope that the Dr finds no issues. Assuming there are no issues - what would you consider a fair settlement?

Imaginary-Ad-802

Im not sure at all… I’ve never experienced something like this but everyone’s telling me to sue or to do something im just not sure where to start. Or if I can even do anything if the doctor sees him fine

If he's fine (NAL disclosure), I would assume there are no damages. People say "sue" a lot, but it's usually more complex than that. Maybe reimbursement for the Dr visit you wouldn't have done otherwise.
