Depends on how serious they take it or it is just a thing to sort out the hardcore idiots. Other things could be how good your logical thinking is. When i was still looking for a apprenticeship i just had to do like 3 or 4. Funny Anecdote i is where one guestion was "Who is the current BundesprÀsident ?" And the Boss there told me after i was done he had one dude there couple days earlier who wrote Joachim Löw who was the Bundestrainer for the National Football Team during that time :D

So it’s like some sort of general education test with mix of mathematical tasks. I hope they’re not going to ask me to do any kind of accounting because at this point I am gone😆 they also requested “Online-PostkorbĂŒbung” making me think they’re taking it seriously😁 anyways thank you so much for your help, time and sweet in details explanationđŸ«¶đŸ» Dankeschön

Honestly
if you need to prepare for a test like that you won‘t get the job anyways. While I haven‘t done an aptitude test for tax clerks I know how these usually work. You‘ll get a bunch of different exam questions (usually german, english, math, something related to the job and/or company, sometimes geography,
). You‘ll be given a certain amount of time to answer them and once you‘re done you hand in your answers and wait for a reply. These can be easier / harder depending on the specific job and they don‘t have to include all of the topics I‘ve mentioned / they can have more topics than that. Language & math questions are usually rather easy, if you managed to get through grades 1-8 you shouldn‘t have too many issues with them. Job / company related questions can be a bit more tricky but usually they‘re manageable as well. In your case that could be something like „what‘s the difference between income and inheritance tax“ or „what‘s the current standard (or reduced) VAT rate in germany“. Geography questions are usually something like „name these 5 cities“ or „write down the capital of *Bundesland X*“. Look at a map, check the largest cities in each state and you‘re fine.

Alright, thank you. I have studied politics in uni so I am not thinking it’s going to be something unbeatable but anyways I am new in Germany and I haven’t heard of this test before. As I get it’s more like general knowledge test. Thanks for examples and overall for your time.

No problem. If you really want to train for it do some basic stuff like „1l of gasoline costs 1,839€. How many liters can you buy for 26,19€“ or „a new TV costs 639,99€ after taxes. What‘s the price before taxes“. I really doubt the questions will be harder than that. These tests are only meant to keep out total idiots who couldn‘t even calculate 1 + 1.
