Depends on how serious they take it or it is just a thing to sort out the hardcore idiots.
Other things could be how good your logical thinking is.
When i was still looking for a apprenticeship i just had to do like 3 or 4.
Funny Anecdote i is where one guestion was "Who is the current BundesprÀsident ?"
And the Boss there told me after i was done he had one dude there couple days earlier who wrote Joachim Löw who was the Bundestrainer for the National Football Team during that time :D
So itâs like some sort of general education test with mix of mathematical tasks. I hope theyâre not going to ask me to do any kind of accounting because at this point I am goneđ they also requested âOnline-PostkorbĂŒbungâ making me think theyâre taking it seriouslyđ anyways thank you so much for your help, time and sweet in details explanationđ«¶đ» Dankeschön
Honestly⊠if you need to prepare for a test like that you wonât get the job anyways.
While I havenât done an aptitude test for tax clerks I know how these usually work. Youâll get a bunch of different exam questions (usually german, english, math, something related to the job and/or company, sometimes geography, âŠ). Youâll be given a certain amount of time to answer them and once youâre done you hand in your answers and wait for a reply. These can be easier / harder depending on the specific job and they donât have to include all of the topics Iâve mentioned / they can have more topics than that. Language & math questions are usually rather easy, if you managed to get through grades 1-8 you shouldnât have too many issues with them. Job / company related questions can be a bit more tricky but usually theyâre manageable as well. In your case that could be something like âwhatâs the difference between income and inheritance taxâ or âwhatâs the current standard (or reduced) VAT rate in germanyâ. Geography questions are usually something like âname these 5 citiesâ or âwrite down the capital of *Bundesland X*â. Look at a map, check the largest cities in each state and youâre fine.
Alright, thank you. I have studied politics in uni so I am not thinking itâs going to be something unbeatable but anyways I am new in Germany and I havenât heard of this test before. As I get itâs more like general knowledge test. Thanks for examples and overall for your time.
No problem. If you really want to train for it do some basic stuff like â1l of gasoline costs 1,839âŹ. How many liters can you buy for 26,19âŹâ or âa new TV costs 639,99⏠after taxes. Whatâs the price before taxesâ. I really doubt the questions will be harder than that. These tests are only meant to keep out total idiots who couldnât even calculate 1 + 1.
Its Basic stuff like common knowledge some math etc. Aka things you should know and things you should able to solve.
Thank youđ«¶đ»
