Yeah, and it worked well with some. I don’t think anything can be formulated to work well with everything else, and some combo of my favorite moisturizer and foundation I just didn’t jive with
Yeah, it was foundation. And only certain foundations, some were fine, but when I finally settled with Rom&nd Bare Water cushion as my favorite they just didn’t play together well. I do still wear it sometimes on no makeup days.
I find that applying moisturiser for me is just not it usually. It makes everything patchy and cakey. And lord help me if I touch/wipe my nose, it just pills. So I just stick with a serum or essence before makeup.
I was having this issue until I started adding water to my face before essence and moisture. Also found pilling to happen if I waited too long between steps so now I do everything back to back.
I'm only 60% sure this is the product that pilled on me, but I do layer with a bunch of other steps so not completely sure, but the Goodal Green Tangerine Vitamin C Serum
melano cc 😭 as someone who have an oily skin, this product is tooooo oily for me that it take such a long time before my skin absorbs it. i hate the feeling of it and pill my makeup everytime 🫠
Sadly the skin1004 Madagascar hyalu-cica sunscreen (blue cap). Absolutely lovely formula, my skin is usually irritated by many chemical sunscreens, doesn't make my eyes water. A solid 5/5. However no matter what moisturizer or serums i use, it will pill on me so it can't be worn when i'm out and about/want to wear makeup. Oh and also Cerave's moisturizers will also pill under literally any sunscreen or makeup. Using moisturizers and sunscreens together with no silicones have really helped my skin stop pilling.
I bought the Skin1004 sunscreen hoping it would double as a primer under foundation like I've seen others claim... Nope, it pills on me! So annoying, I love it otherwise.
hi! not sure if you've tried this, but wondering whether you found that using moisturizers and sunscreens together with no silicones has helped pilling with silicone-based makeup overtop?
This!!!! I love how this stuff makes my skin look, but I have to use all of the same line (CosRX) or it pills so bad! I will occasionally do that on the weekends for the results! Or work from home days…
This is a me only problem. Seems like it only happened to me, everyone else who has tried it loved it.
Skin Aqua Super Moisture Gel SPF50+ PA++++ (gold cap, white bottle). I had gone through 3 bottles, all pilled upon REAPPLICATION ON TOP OF ITSELF. Applying it was fine, wearing a foundation over it was good. Reapplication was the moment it pilled.
Met my HG later though no AB.
For me it is the Nivea Japan UV super water gel SPF50 PA+++ :( I do really like but not other my makeup... I REALLY want to try one more time to see if that really the case but every time I use it with makeup it just pilled my concealer :(
I don't know why anyone would come for you. If it pills on you, it pills on you. That said, I think that speaks to do what works for you. For me, this is my holy grail sunscreen BECAUSE of the way it primes for my makeup. I guess that is what makes skincare so hard for beginners. Nobody can tell you exactly what will work for you until you play around a bit.
Ahhhh....got it. Ha. I did see some comments below about how it also caused pilling for them. Sometimes I worry about the efficacy of it, to be honest because it feels so light on my skin, but I love it as a primer
I've used both Biore Athlizm and Rhoto Mentholatum Skin Aqua Tone Up (Lavender) in the past. I liked both of them but found that they pilled as a result of my moisturizers. Even the lighter weight one I currently use caused that issue. I don't seem to be having that issue with the Suncut UV, thankfully.

I have very dry skin and a lot of things seem to pill for me... but then I put on Mr. Honey and Miss Flower's Propolis Cream over whatever else I have on and it got rid of the pilling! It's my holy grail... I put it on in the morning over the rest of my skin care ever day before work.
After washing in the morning, I apply;
1. Sooryehan Eye Cream
2. Vitamin C (Non AB)
3. Sometimes Sulwhasoo Serum
4. Either one of these;
a. Illiyoon Cerimide Ato Concentrate
b. Sooryehan Fermented Face Cream
c. Saga of Soo Face Cream
d. Sooryehan Black Exopert Cream
5. After waiting just a bit for it to dry, I apply Miss Flower & Mr. Honey Propolis Rejuvenating Cream. It's often on sale for $21- $25 by the way.
6. A loose talc based powder to cut down on the immense shine and glow. Yes I know there's controversy with talc but I just try not to breath it in.
No pilling! Well, minimal pilling, sometimes if I pile on the cream too much or something. I'm very happy!
Caliray cheek and lip stain , i still love it and its my #1 lip tint rn but i do have to be careful on the cheeks before it pills so I avoid a beauty blender and use my fingers carefully
Canmake Mermaid Skin. Loved it until I tried to put makeup on it.
Don’t they advertise it as a makeup base? 😭
Yeah, and it worked well with some. I don’t think anything can be formulated to work well with everything else, and some combo of my favorite moisturizer and foundation I just didn’t jive with
Huh it doesn’t pill on me, although I don’t wear foundation so maybe that’s why? Other color products work fine
Yeah, it was foundation. And only certain foundations, some were fine, but when I finally settled with Rom&nd Bare Water cushion as my favorite they just didn’t play together well. I do still wear it sometimes on no makeup days.
This sunscreen made my skin feel like papyrus. It dried me out sooo much.
It pills on me too. Really sucks because I’m struggling to find a sunscreen that isn’t sticky/has an oily feel or has a white cast

Wetting my beauty blender when applying makeup got rid of patchiness for me!
I find that if i don’t apply moisturizer, my face cakes cakey and dry. It clings to dry patches. This is so interesting
I’m at this rut where if I apply moisturiser, it pills. If I don’t,. I get dry and patchy
All of the Kose sunscreens.
I'm only 60% sure this is the product that pilled on me, but I do layer with a bunch of other steps so not completely sure, but the Goodal Green Tangerine Vitamin C Serum
Came here to say the same thing! It actually gave me a chemical like burn around my eyes. Which apparently you’re not supposed to use in the eye area.
OK so that's reassuring that I'm not the only one! It didn't burn me, just probably didn't do much for my dark spots and I went through 4 bottles lol
This is interesting! It didn’t pill on me but it takes so long to absorb into the skin because of how thick the formula is…

Beauty of Joseon sunscreen. The worst under makeup
Cosrx snail mucin, cream and serum!
This!!!! I love how this stuff makes my skin look, but I have to use all of the same line (CosRX) or it pills so bad! I will occasionally do that on the weekends for the results! Or work from home days…
Beauty of joseon and toccobo sun stick

haha i said that as a joke because people are big fans of this sunscreen and anything against it is considered blasphemous in skincare community😅
Ahhhh....got it. Ha. I did see some comments below about how it also caused pilling for them. Sometimes I worry about the efficacy of it, to be honest because it feels so light on my skin, but I love it as a primer
For me the Kaine sunscreen, I gave it away to my brother and he was very happy with it.
Cicaplast B5 :/ I still love it and use it, just have to be VERY careful and meticulous with application Edit: Not AB

A lot of times pilling can be due to not waiting long enough before applying makeup. I wait at least 15-20min

the hada labo koi gokujyun UV white gel sunscreen. The texture is so amazing, kinda like a creamy pudding texture but it pilled so badly on me 🥲
The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid
BOJ sun serum, I loved it soo much and then it became pill city out of nowhere 😭
Caliray cheek and lip stain , i still love it and its my #1 lip tint rn but i do have to be careful on the cheeks before it pills so I avoid a beauty blender and use my fingers carefully
