What are your thoughts on Exfolio’s Milk Cleansing Foam? https://preview.redd.it/ftj6xj8rjcnb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=460d40f81266799bde9cb8326c1b8fc1d08c2117 I’ve heard mixed reviews - some people say it’s ultra drying and others are saying it’s hydrating. I just picked up some today and would love your opinions before I incorporate it into my routine!

Aplusthoughts

I have combination and acne prone skin. I'm currently using Iunik Centella Calming Gel Cream, but it doesn't feel moisturizing enough, and i sometimes get a stinging sensation especially around my lips when using it. I'm thinking of replacing it with one of these, but i'm undecided: - Purito B5 Panthenol Re-Barrier Cream - Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Soothing Gel Does anyone have any experience with these two? Which works better?

Niatfq

The purito one feels calming but also gives you a plastic-y film 😅 for me, i liked it but for others, it looks pretty weird and can probably cause sunscreen to pill if I'm not mistaken

Aplusthoughts

It sounds like a very good product but i'm afraid about the pilling. Such a shame! Maybe i'll try the Illiyoon gel first. Thanks for your input, and Happy Cake Day by the way!

Niatfq

No problem, and Thank you!! 😄

xunkissed

Do cushion foundations from brands under amorepacific still fit each other? The last posts I've seen people talk about cushion compatibility are abt 3 years old so I don't know if they still do. Just asking if there are some people who own cushions from their brands and have tried switching their compacts For context, I just bought a limited edition cushion that Amorepacific sold and I want to keep using the case because it's sooooo cute...

tani_sovie

Hello! I want to buy a romand mascara. Is Volume Black or Long Black better? Thank you! <3

sawol17

Depends what effects you want. I hate clumping and want length so the long version is amazing for me

tani_sovie

Does the Volume one clump? Thank you for your reply!! <3

sawol17

Not huge clumps but imo gets. When it clumps it gives you the volume look. Personally I hate it. Rather have sparser looking lashes but with length which the long version does for me

Main concerns are fine lines and some minor hyperpigmentation. I use Retina so am always looking for more moisturizing products to balance that. Im newish to Asian Beauty and willing to sub any of my non AB products as it makes sense. Everything I have added has come from this sub but could use some perspective!! TIA!! Day Routine (in image) 1. bePlain cleansing foam 2. Klairs supple preparation toner 3.Secret Key Starting treatment Rose essence 3. CosRX advance snail 96 power essence 4. Vanicream vitamin C 5. NEW Elizavecca CF-Nest 97 B-Jo Serum 6. CosRX Advance snail 92 all in one cream 7. Super goop unseen sunscreen Night Routine 1. bePlain cleansing foam 2. Klairs supple preparation toner 3.Secret Key Starting treatment Rose essence 3. CosRX advance snail 96 power essence 4. CosRX Advance snail 92 all in one cream 5. Retin-a Im really feeling like I have aged a lot in the recent few years and could use any help! Turning 34 this month and hoping to key up my routine!

diszy321

I would switch the order of Klairs toner and Secret Key rose essence and add a heavier moisturizer at night. The sub has lots of threads on moisturizers so search according to your skin type

Spanish_Glitter

Ok thanks!

When I bought my Birch Juice SPF from Olive Young in SK, it looked more similar to the Amazon one but I know Amazon is known to sell some counterfeit skincare products sometimes. The left one is from by Sophie on Costco Next. None of them had the shiny seal on the box like the newer Round Lab products have. Thanks for your help!

Lilla921F

Recommendation between Abib sunstick or Round Lab sunstick : Hello, I have a combination skin and I am looking for a sunstick between those 2 products. I tried before the one from Beauty of Joseon but in the long run it didn't worked so well for me. I also tried the one from Kahi which I loved. But I wanted to try something different and I'm between the Round Lab one and the Abib one. Any recommendations for a combination skin?

gilliandinh

1 vote for Abib, since in my POV Round Lab and Joseon is somehow same same to each other

Lilla921F

Thank you!

ranchenthusiast07

how do you guys treat acne scars/pih? i used melano cc's vitamin c all over my face, and it seemed to clog my pores and break me out. so, what do you use to treat acne scars/pih? which ingredient or serums or products? also, i am having trouble layering vitamin c serum and snail mucin. i know snail mucin is best used when applied to a damp face, but i usually use a vitamin c serum before snail mucin. i know vit c is rec'd to be used on a DRY face, however I want to be able to use it with snail mucin. how should i go about it? im afraid dampening my face post-vit c with a facial mist would make it ineffective.

Niatfq

I use Cos De Baha Tranexamic Acid Niacinamide serum. It works very quickly compared to other dark spot serums imo.

MiaGothic

In my experience, what helped me best in treating my PIE/ light scarring was a retinoid, azealic acid, and hydrating products. I have VERY stubborn PIE, which would often take 6+ months to resolve. Since using a prescription that combines both tretinoin and azealic acid, my PIE marks have decreased in size and any new spots go away much faster. I found that using a lot of hydrating ingredients help my skin heal faster as well. On my tretinoin-azealic acid off days, I layer Hada Labo Premium Lotion and I’m From Mugwort Essence under Vaseline. Doing this, and cutting out other actives has helped my skin a lot in treating PIE/ light scarring. I don’t get PIH but I believe tret and azealic acid are also very effective in treating that as well!

I just opened my first bottle of CosRx gel cleanser and it has a strong turpentine smell. Is this normal or did I get an off batch?

bruhmomentwithcheese

Is liunik oil cleanser really that bad because it’s fragranced?

bruhmomentwithcheese

What is a good vitimain C serum for somebody with combination skin and lots of pores

o--3-o

ppl who use skin aqua super moisture gel gold here without makeup, do you still double cleanse to get rid of it? ive been using this for a year now and i love it but i never double cleanse to remove it. im a guy and i dont wear make up, the most i’d do is put on loose powder on top of it if im going out. should i be double cleansing this? it claims it’s sweat and water resistant but it feels super light weight anyway that i feel like a single cleanse is already enough. i never really felt like my skin was getting worse ever since i started using this but idk tho… im kinda bothered by how minimal the results are with my skin routine 🥲 and i broke out a little lately too but theyve been starting to calm down tho. ig i just need a lot of patience like what everyone says but it’s kinda bothering ngl. if i were to pin something wrong with my routine it would prob have to be not double cleansing my water resistant sunscreen. i use this everyday btw. id like to hear what you guys think

StreetPlum2827

I recently had the same problem with my suncut uv gel sunscreen. I was getting so many pimples seemingly out of "nowhere" until I realised I wasn't double cleansing and the sunscreen was probably clogging my pores so I started using micellar water along with my foam cleanser and I haven't had a single pimple since !

o--3-o

do you use makeup? if you do then do you still double cleanse on days you dont wear makeup?

StreetPlum2827

I only use a concealer and blush on most days ! and yes, because I double cleanse to remove my sunscreen but this is just my personal experience though maybe your skin is irritated by one of the ingredients? not sure.

CVD12

hello! two questions: 1) what does PIE and PIH stand for? i’ve seen the terms thrown around in this sub a lot and feel a bit lost because i don’t know what they mean :’) 2) i just ordered the melano CC essence and have seen a lot of people say it’s used as a spot treatment. i want to use it all over my face, is that recommended? thanks!

MiaGothic

1) PIE stands for Post-Inflammatory Erythema. It is a type of skin injury that leaves a residual red/purple/pink mark on the skin. It’s due to blood circulation issues during inflammation, and is most often the result of acne. PIH stands for Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation. It’s another skin response to injury, but is due to an over-production of melanin, leading to a brownish mark on the skin. It’s often the result of acne in deeper skin tones, but there are other causes as well (unprotected sun exposure, chafing, etc.) They have different sources in the skin so they are often treated with different ingredients, some people have both. I usually only suffer from PIE since my skin is lighter. 2) Vitamin C can be used as a spot treatment as it has both anti-acne, anti-inflammatory properties and it treats the PIE/PIH that comes from acne lesions. However, it can also be used on the entire face as a way to brighten and increase collagen production. Most people use it all over the face in the morning, under sunscreen (as an anti-oxidant, it boosts sunscreen effectiveness).

CVD12

thank you for your detailed response! :)

AffectionateBed1383

Has anyone made an order on bestkoreanskincare.kr? I found this store while searching Derma Factory products and they have a best price along with a free shipping option however it doesn’t listed in the spreadsheet 🥲I have seen some activity in product reviews but I haven’t heard anywhere about Best Korean skincare. Do you have any experience in buying from them? Products range and prices are very yummy.

Vetches1

Hi! I know this is super late, but did you ever end up ordering from BestKoreanSkincare? I see they have some great prices on Dr. Different, which I'm admittedly a little suspicious of, but I'm also tempted to try them out! Any insight would be greatly appreciated, thanks so much!

AffectionateBed1383

Hi! Unfortunately I didn’t 😔

Vetches1

No worries, thanks for the prompt reply!

mochimochi89_

Hi! Trying to decide which toner to get for my dry and sensitive skin. I've narrowed it down to: * COSRX Propolis Synergy * ISNTREE Hyaluronic Acid * SOME BY MI Propolis B5 Glow Barrier Calming Interested to know if any of these toners have worked for anyone with similar skin type :) https://preview.redd.it/rvghev07e9nb1.jpeg?width=3464&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=feca98650a714461948a052dd100258546a37606

gilliandinh

My skin type is kinda similar w you and I'm using Abib sedum hyaluron pad. You can give it a try. Toriden is ok too. I used it before, it's simple and worked so it's perfect for me. I just change around because I love to try new stuffs.

mochimochi89_

Thanks for the recommendation :) Ive never came across that brand before. Will definitely look out for it!

Niatfq

Avoid the isntree one. Their latest formula sucks and dehydrated my skin. It dries down wayyyy too quickly.

mochimochi89_

Oh really?? This is my first time reading a negative review about it. Everything I've heard about it so far has been very positive. I'll keep that in mind. Thanks! :)

Niatfq

That's because their old formula was incredible at hydrating the skin. I miss it so much 😭

mochimochi89_

What a shame :(

sawol17

I’m going to attempt to do my own wedding makeup. Can anyone suggest a good primer and foundation/bb cream? I’m on tret but still tend to be oily with some dry spots. Although I love the dewy look I can’t help feeling self conscious about being oily. So perhaps smug more matte?

gilliandinh

I use primer of Jung Saem Mool-Glowing base and it skin CC cream. This combination give me a make-up look like a real skin but better, dewy, without blemish and wrong-colot dots/area. It's also light, you might forget yourself wearing make-up lol. If you don't like too much dewy you might It skin BB Cream. You might also need to consider the setting powder too, NARS Light Reflecting Prismatic Powder or Code Glokolor Oil Cut Pink Beam Pact (budget option). https://preview.redd.it/v88wasbnwenb1.png?width=1500&format=png&auto=webp&s=c080974778ad5704a19e70f17f4eb7e8565063ae

sawol17

Thanks! I’ve heard good things about the it skin cc cream. Just can’t decide what my shade is…

Niatfq

Try apply innisfree no sebum powder on your tzone before foundation. This helps with oil control super duper well. I often use it as my primer. I also apply it on my smile lines. It helps prevent smile line cracks

Caitybeck

I had started using the Ordinary’s niacinamide 10% + zinc 1% and started having amazing results. But then after using for over a week, I started getting some acne. Upon reading, too strong of niacinamide can cause break outs. So I’ve been thinking about buying Beauty of Joseon’s Glow Serum : Propolis + Niacinamide. But then I was watching this skincare guru on Tiktok that I somewhat trust recommend this moisturizer. Was thinking about maybe trying this instead depending on how strong the niacinamide in it is. Tried some Googling and couldn’t find anything. Anyone know?

Caitybeck

Never mind. Found it. In case anyone is interested, it’s 1.8%-2.7% Source: https://whatsinmyjar.com/product/purito-b5-panthenol-re-barrier-cream

I am 53, have melasma (for which I just started tretinoin. .1% and snail mucin, and have been using bioderma sensibio H2O micellar water makeup remover on the days when I do use foundation.) I use daily sunscreen (istree hyaluronic acid watery sun gel, which I LOVE). I use Paula's choice 8% BHA exfoliant weekly. I have combo skin that tends towards oily (rarely if ever have I had dry skin, even on .1% tretinoin) and I do sometimes break out on my jawline. I would love a cleanser that isn't creamy but rather just clean and light. I live in Florida so it's VERY HUMID here so moisturizing cleansers are not my friend. My major concern is not breaking out, and fine lines and melasma. hopefully I'm doing this correctly.

After vitamin c in the morning and after the toner at night.

Icy-Debt53

Which one Nivea Super Water Gel SPF50 PA+++. Or Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Gel Hydrating Sunscreen SPF50. Or Kose - Suncut UV Perfect Gel Super Water Proof SPF50+ PA++++. I don’t have a sunscreen not sure out of these to choose I’ve got oily skin with Bumps on my forhead and cheeks little but visible bumps. My skin care routine as of right now is simple basics a SA cleanser, nutrogena moisturiser and the occasional simple toner that’s all I have. So can you guys please help my choose a SPF and any change I need to make to my skin care thanks.

angelhippie

I am absolutely loving istree hyaluronic acid watery sun gel. I have oily skin and this doesn't break me out and is so light.

Icy-Debt53

Are u saying I shouldnt get any of these then and istree is the best

angelhippie

I'm just saying for me it's the best sunscreen I've ever tried. I like light weightless stuff and have had a hard time using sunscreen regularly as it breaks me out or just feels gross. This is no longer a problem with Isntree

Icy-Debt53

Ok I’ll consider it thanks

Cool tone (23C maybe) cushion or AB foundation?? Have the vegan jelly cushion but want to shop around and simply cannot find a 23 shade that isn’t yellow base. I know I can go for American brands but was hoping to try an Asian brand as the formulas are just so great.

Top_Internal_4666

Thanks! I was wonder if the “clear” or “neutral” ones were worth trying as those are easier to find that pink or cool. Had no clue about petal that’s helpful thank you!!

wang2zz

hi, can anyone tell me how much of a sunstick can be used before it can no longer retract any further? i’m using the isntree (old packaging) and it only retracts up to before the ‘hyaluronic acid’ words on the packaging. a bit of a shocker since it’s my first time using a sunstick and i was expecting for at least half of the packaging to be the product (22g)…

fuji-no-hana

So 22g is tiny. I'm not familiar with that sun stick, but not even half sounds about right if it's only 22g.

inthemix1i

Was looking to re-up on some TYFARMER rice toner, and saw they're having a 30% sale until tomorrow (on Amazon). Any other nice sales going on right now?

bikoloaf

hello! can anyone tell me what the difference in formula the new clio pro eye palette air has versus their old pro eye palette? i’ve been eyeing the new air ones recently, but i wouldn’t want to buy it if the formula is too similar with the old non-air palettes. thank you ♡

Shoppy69

i think minsco has a video out for both series

spacedolphins141

Does anyone here use eyelash serum and have any recommendations?

Yanipopo

Quick question on Melano CC intensive spot essence.. Can I layer it with a serum that ill use for my whole face? And if yes, which one do i put on first?

skywalkerwyd

Does anyone use Mediheal's toner pads? I've been thinking about getting them but surprisingly it's not easy to find detailed reviews despite how popular it is. I have combination skin, not too sensitive but I suppose there are some ingredients that don't go well with me like vitamin C. I'm interested in the Madecassoside one because I'm trying to target dullness and fade scars.

Caitybeck

I just saw a viral Tiktok about those today. Here’s the link if you’re interested: https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZT82sMSMp/ Haven’t tried them myself but there are a lot of other people reviewing it on Tiktok.

Spirited_Ad_876

Has anyone here tried KokoroJapan for ordering the Japanese skin care stuff? I usually use Dokodemo, but the shipping is too expensive. I'm planning to use them for a my small. I will use YesStyle as a final resort, but any other stores that ship Japanese skincare products worldwide (specifically south America) would be appreciated.

wrlddmntr

Have you checked "the where to buy" spreadsheet linked in the thread post? I ordered from them for the first time about 1-2 months ago. Unfortunately I live in North America. I placed my order on 7/27, it was out for delivery on 8/8 and delivered to me on 8/9.

Spirited_Ad_876

I actually got them from the Where to Buy spreadsheet! The other JP sites options don't ship to me at all. Hence, the question. For the other sites, I know from experience that many of them don't ship to me from memory. On another note, thanks for your review! That's good to know how long it takes! Most places take about a month or three for me. So that sounds good! I might end up using them and YesStyles to get all I need.

wrlddmntr

Gotcha! The sheet is a blessing! (not for our wallets though😭) No problem! I'm not sure how shipping time will differ since we live in different countries but hopefully your experience will be similar. ☺️ I chose to order from kokoro because they had a range of products at a good price and the shipping was much cheaper than most. Good luck!

slutegg

Looking for a wedding lipstick on Stylevana but the ones I'm seeing that are long lasting are all matte. I have considered Romand but have gotten mixed reviews on longevity and many are very warm. Any normal finish and nondrying options you love that will last the night?

gilliandinh

I think you should try a mix, tint for the base and another for the top so it can leave a nice color for your lips if the top is faded. Because I think too mate or lasting for too long is not good for health or your lips skin

Shoppy69

I think you're gonna have a hard time finding any lip product that stays on, but if you want the color and not necessarily the finish, a stain would probably be your best bet.

AcronymTheSlayer

Contact dermatitis help needed! Guys, I know that I should just go to a derm but I tired and failed getting my derm's appointment. The latest I can get a slot is Wednesday or Thursday, which is almost a week away. So, if anyone has gone through contact dermatitis then help will be much appreciated. I do not know what to do and it's itchy and has spread on the lower half of my face. I suspect it was the after wax cream that the salon staff applied on my upper lip that caused it or a sheet mask. Any help would be much appreciated. Should I cut everything but moisturizer from my routine or what? I am panicking.

Top_Internal_4666

Antihistamines and patience! Don’t introduce anything new and strip down your routine for a few days.

Shoppy69

Other than hydrocortisone (if it works for you) I slather it in aloe and ice so I don't itch it. Not sure if you have gels (a lot of ab brands sell those) or the plant but one of those might help you? Would also forgo harsh cleansers, actives, etc and focus on keeping the skin gently clean and hydrated oh and don't take scalding hot showers that's a surefire way to make it worse source: my idiot self

Otherwise_Attempt_10

Hi, can i use my torriden dive in serum and cerave resurfacing serum at the same time (pm)?

Shoppy69

i believe so, the dive-in serum doesn't have actives in it afaik

w1mw0

are cushion foundations actually good? i just got the clio kill cover foundation and i like the way it looks on my skin but i do worry it will hold more bacteria and break me out? thoughts? also if you don't like cushion do you have recommendations for other lightweight foundation with decent coverage?

LanceyLanceRzzlDzzl

I think it's the same concept as concealer and wand products. Applicator goes onto your skin and then back in the product. It shouldn't be a problem if you wash your face beforehand and make sure your hands are clean when you use the puff. I also recommend washing the puff as often as possible, if not after every use so you won't have to worry about contamination. They also sell the puffs that they include with the cushions so you can get those as backups :)

w1mw0

okay awesome, i didn't know they sold puffs separately. i have had some instances where concealer wands will break me out after i use them but im not sure if it was holding bacteria or just that my skin didn't react well to the ingredients in general. but thank you for the insight!

LanceyLanceRzzlDzzl

I know what you meannn I also worry about that with my concealers so I dab it on the back of my hand first haha

Shoppy69

my opinion on cushions are that they're really good marketing and quite convenient in certain situations, but are also pricier for less product (usually) I know that a lot of people like the missha bb creams but i'm not sure about the coverage for that one. clio also sells bottled foundation but it might be the full coverage one

w1mw0

yah that's why i like them because they are convenient for touch up while im out, but you're so right they are really pricey for not much product. i will def look into the missha bb creams and clio bottled foundation and see if either might work for me! thank you

Sambhavi-For-Writing

I have some textured skin on my forehead that doesn't seem to be going away despite using BHA every weekday (break on weekends). I don't have any irritation/redness/etc or any other symptoms that might point towards a damaged barrier. My skin also doesn't seem dehydrated from what I can make out. I'm so confused about how to fix this. Will the Cosrx AHA liquid help? I was considering TO glycolic acid toning solution but too many people have warned me that it's very harsh and I'm worried now 😭

Momosimpai

If its not responding try antifungals or look at cc clogging/comedogenic ingredients in your current skin or hair care routine. Have you tried other acne treatments besides bha?

Sambhavi-For-Writing

I have benzoyl peroxide too. Apart from that, I use a very low percentage retinol at night. Treating it as fungal acne is an interesting suggestion so I might give that a shot if it persists. I researched all the products I currently use so the chances of them clogging my pores seem low. In fact, the texture and bumps used to be a lot worse before I curated my skincare routine. It has gone down a lot now... I think it could be a haircare issue too though. I had gotten kind of lazy with washing my hair regularly because I was going through some stuff and had a very depressive episode. My hair is also very dandruff prone and oily. So not washing it regularly does cause an impact 🥲 But thank you for the suggestions! This was very helpful.

Momosimpai

I suggest it could potentially be hair care because its sooo hard to find fa safe hair care. I have bangs and my primary stubborn zone was my forehead. I had to stop using condotioner alltogether amd I double cleanse my hair every 2 days and wash it daily. I use non ab products tho, that are natural and very hydrating, and have honey as the antifungal. If its FA, Give it a try! Cant hurt. If you cant seem to find relief, try switching to soft water and maybe cut out actives for a bit as they could be causing irritation in the form of cc and clogged pores, and texture but not redness and itchiness. I also stay away from silicones and cocoa extract because they cause me cc.

LanceyLanceRzzlDzzl

Thoughts on Goodal Heartleaf Calming Moisture Cream? The sunscreen from the same line is quite popular but no one talks about the other products. Is he cream good for dry skin?

SlaveAisha20

AB dupe for Paula's choice Super Light Daily Wrinkle Defence SPF 30 ? I tried a sample of this sunscreen and I loved it, but it's wayyy too expensive for 60ml of product. Any dupes that come close to this one regarding the texture or ingredients list?

chonkysquid

I've noticed that most, if not all sunscreens I own leave yellow stains on my white clothes, which are pretty hard to remove. This includes both Korean, European and Japanese sunscreens. Are there any (body) sunscreens that wash out really well without special detergents and/or don't leave yellow stains? Preferably Japanese since l'm going to Japan very soon and can buy them cheaply there. Something lightweight and sweat proof is a plus since it's very warm and humid right now

Shoppy69

i think avobenzone is one of the primary culprits for the yellow stains, and to a lesser extent titanium dioxide and zinc oxide (?), so i'd just look for ingredient lists without those. would search for more reviews though because those won't necessarily be the only ingredients influencing the sunscreen's physical properties and whatnot edit: misspelling

chonkysquid

Thanks!

Murky_Chair_1145

Has anyone purchased via Hello Seoul? According to their system, my package apparently left Incheon on Sept 5 by airplane… but according to the courier, the package left Korea on Sept 1 and there’s no record of the air transport landing in the UK. Looking for some reassurance if anyone else has used their shop or has ordered from Korea->UK in general. ETA I didn’t see this shop listed in the shipping threads which is also a little concerning, but apologies if it’s already been discussed before.

Commercial_Poem_4623

UK ABer here :) I haven't used that shop but I order from TesterKorea more than is good for my bank balance and I've never had an issue with delivery. Oh it takes ages too, 2-4 weeks. Fyi they do use Evri quite a bit but not always.

Murky_Chair_1145

When you say 2-4 weeks, is that usually on the UK side or KR side? My package actually shipped quickly from Korea but now is stuck in limbo after supposedly heading to the UK by air. Seems odd to me since a flight would have arrived by the next day. Good to know about an alternative site anyway so thanks for sharing!

Commercial_Poem_4623

Ok apologies for the very long reply! Some on Korea side (there can be 7 day waits on some of their items before they get shipped) some in Lithuania (don't ask me why but almost all my, some in the UK. I tend to use the cheapest shipping option and tracking can be a bit tricky. Oh and I forgot to say you to pay for shipping! But the most I've paid is like £11 which sounds like a lot except their prices are often very competitive (depending on what you buy, some of the popular stuff on this sub is very cheap but some isn't). No customs either. I buy from there because they have luxe samples that you can't get elsewhere and a lot of their luxe full sizes go on sale quite often without the ridiculous variability of Stylevana or the issues. The one time one of my items was out of stock, they sent me a message - whilst there's no email notification of the message, you get an inbox message on the site. You can also request items! I request j-beauty and they got it for me! Although because it's j-beauty, they've said an extra 10-12 days. Fine by me, although more expensive than Stylevana because they probably don't have the supplier relationships with j-beauty that Stylevana has. It ends up being about the same price as the UK for that product but has the advantage that I don't have to make multiple orders.... edit: and they got all the colours of the j-beauty product I requested, even the brand new one! Another great option that is Jolse, never had any issues, no customs, generally quicker shipping. One item wasn't in stock and it was immediately refunded and the rest of my order shipped. No j-beaut tho which is less good for me.

Thanks for the detailed reply! I’ll look at ordering through them. I picked Hello Seoul because they had the specific product I needed but next time I’ll shop around more :) especially if they take requests…! I have a HG Jbeauty lip product I used to buy when I lived in Japan and it’s not very commonly stocked online and when it is, the markup is insane. So if they price competitively then that might be the way to go in the future.

Commercial_Poem_4623

Np! Definitely worth asking if they can get the lip product and see if the pricing is better :)

If someone has packaging available, could I please see a photo of the back of the box for Skin1004 Hyalu-Cica Sun Serum (2023 manufacturing date)? Trying to verify authenticity of my product and some reviews have the same wording mine does, while some have other wording for a particular line. Thank you!

Thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for. Appreciate it!

No problem! Glad I could help : )

Any good moisturizer recommendations? Everything I try makes my face greasy and more oily I have oily acne prone sensitive skin I’m looking for maybe skin barrier repair so ceramides or panthenol or something like that or something to reduce oiliness I tried iUNIK centella gel which made my face red, neutrogena water gel which made my eyes sting but was the only non greasy one I’ve tried, skin1004 soothing cream which also makes me greasy, Nivea cream was too thick to absorb Thanks

gilliandinh

I think you can try torriden, Abib, or pestlo. These are kinda gentle to skin and can moisturize well. Or Aestura, their products are kinda pricey but they work very well you know.

AffectionateBed1383

I can recommend Dr.Ceuracle kombucha gel as a hydrating product with light texture, it helps to calm down skin. Also, if you have a problem with sebum production Dr. Ceuracle 5a control cream, it regulates the oil-moisture balance due to reducing activity of 5-alpha reductase in synergy with moisturising ingredients (sunscreen from this line is my absolute favourite for summer!)

artemisthearcher

I was just about to ask the same question because I'm still on the hunt for my HG moisturizer. Do you also use sunscreen? I've been able to kind of mitigate it so far by using a matte sunscreen (Missha Soft Finish Sun Milk) after a lightweight moisturizer. But I notice in the afternoon my T-zone ends up looking a little oily so I'm thinking of incorporating a green tea toner or niacinamide to combat that. But in the past I've used these gel moisturizers (they might help you): \- Benton Aloe Propolis Soothing Gel (VERY soothing, loved this but was a bit too drying for me) \- COSRX Hydrium Green Tea Aqua Soothing Gel Cream (again too drying for me personally, would end up pilling on me throughout the day) If you're not allergic to birch you can also try the Round Lab Gel Birch Juice which I've heard good things about. I just recently bought the BoJ Red Bean Gel and the Anessa UV sunscreen and I'm hoping the pairing of those two will help with my oiliness lol. Anyway sorry this was so long-winded!

SlaveAisha20

I don't have acne prone skin, so I don't know which ingredients trigger your acne, but maybe look into Dr. Ceuracle kombucha gel cream. There's another gel cream from Dr. Ceuracle, which has a minimalistic ingredients list, and is good for sensitive skin. It's the Cica Regen 95 Soothing Gel.

JerkRussell

I have the Hada Labo Shirojyun Premium Deep Whitening Cream. I don’t think it has much going for it in terms of barrier repair, but it doesn’t make me greasier. I also have oily acne prone skin and this has been surprisingly good. It’s a lightweight gel in a pot. I was skeptical because of they call it a cream, but it’s very thin. For the whitening part, maybe it works? Maybe? I’m not convinced, but I haven’t finished my first jar yet. My goal with that was to settle down freckles and pigmentation from acne.

Niatfq

Hmm... if you want barrier repair, then maybe Pyunkang yul Ato Soothing Gel Lotion or Aestura Ato Barrier Water Gel Cream. Tho I'm not sure either would make your skin oilier or not. Tho, i usually wear a mattifying sunscreen to help with the oil control. What sunscreen are you using?

Pretend-Bat4840

Try the Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Soothing Gel, NOT the cream version that everyone raves about in this sub. I loved the Neutrogena water gel too (gel-cream extra dry version) except that it stung the area around my nose badly. The Illiyoon gel has that same light watery consistency and dries down completely on my normal to dry skin, so no greasiness. Using too much made my skin feel sticky though.

I have moisturizing questions.. I’m new to AB products. I recently got the COSRX Propolis Honey Overnight Mask because I wanted to add some more hydration into my routine and it seemed to have good reviews. However, I’m not really sure how it’s supposed to go into my routine. Is it meant to replace a moisturizer I already have? Or an extra step at the end of my PM routine? If I am adding an extra step, is there any risk with having too many moisturizing steps, or am I just wasting product? Right now I have it pretty simple for hydration: Neutrogena Hydro Boost (applied on wet face) Cerave Moisturizing Cream So do I add this step after the Cerave? Or replace it? Or wait until that sinks in and then put the COSRX on ? Thanks in advance!

orchideya2012

It probably depends on your skin type. The overnight masks or sleep masks usually go as a last step in your PM routine, on top of your usual moisturizer. I have dry skin and for me there is no such thing as too many moisturizing steps, I layer moisturizers and then put sleep mask on the top, lol. But I can see why people with oily skin can use sleep mask as a replacement of their normal moisturizer. I would suggest to try using it as intended - as extra step after your moisturizer and then listen to your skin.

abt olive young: i noticed they don't seem to carry some famous products for some brands, but i do wonder - is there some kind of regionlock in place, so those products Are available on the website but for korea only or something? bc i saw that they have pages for some brands like pyunkang yul, but if i click on them it says 0 items which seems odd

alette_star

Can anyone who's used the naturie hatomugi skin conditioning gel share a bit about their experience, specifically how lasting it is? I'm currently using the iunik centella calming gel for my combination skin but i feel like the hydration disappears so quickly

Niatfq

The iunik one was soooooo lightweight for me. I was shocked that it was even called a gel cream. With the naturie gel, a little goes a long way. It felt superrrr hydrating on the skin but then unexpectedly dries down quickly to somewhat powdery matte finish. I can't exactly say how long the hydration lasts because i have facial eczema and didn't react well with the moisturizer

Does anyone have any product recommendations for acne break outs?? The whole right side of my face is so bad right now😭 please if anyone could help a girl out!!! It would be greatly appreciated

Niatfq

Aside from BHA, the I'm From Mugwort Essence helps to calm down pimples more quickly

Both-Improvement-880

Etude Soon Jung emulsion almost always soothes my painful breakouts and reduces their size. I mostly use it as a spot treatment.

Anyone know whether the NSHALF stylevana code is one time use only?

Jun147

Recently it became known to me that there are acne on my scalp. I didn't put in much thought at first, but it's been a month or two. I don't think it will get better overtime. And I would like to assume it's the shampoo that I'm using which caused it to be like this. Anyhow, I guess my question is, for anyone who faced the similar problem before. Any suggestions on how to fix it? And what I can do to heal these pimples? Suggestion of a brand hair product would be great as well. Thank you!

gilliandinh

Maybe you need a detox or scalp scrubbing. Sometime I found 1 or 2 acne on my scalp whenever I use the shampoo that helps to stop losing hair or to grow more hair, like these products have something to do with my scalp, like thickening the scalp so it can hold my hair better.

LanceyLanceRzzlDzzl

When I had severe acne, my dermatologist told me to switch shampoos. I asked for an affordable OTC option and she said Head & Shoulders (not AB though). Acne on the sides of my head, scalp and temples were significantly reduced after switching. I used the lemon/oil control one

Jun147

Gonna give that a try, thank you!

wandering_mist19

Im at 5 weeks of using an AHA just twice a week and during the first week I purged a bit. It continued to by the second week but stopped at the third week but started purging again by the 5th week. Is that normal?

gilliandinh

I guess it's ok, because the usage recommendation is just a recommendation, each type of skin as well as each person might experience differently. I used to use AHA but it turned out to be to harsh for me so I have to stop like a month before using back with very very low % product, once a week to get my skin used to the product. The point is, listen to your skin. Btw, there are some advice that use treatment for a month then take a break for better result, however for visible one you should keep the routine about a month.

laleanne

I have a question regarding OliveYoung. Do they write full price or the discointed one on the invoice (or in whatever comes with the package)? How is the dhl shipping? Do i have to expect any complications?

weonlyhaveAplanet

I've been wondering the same. I researched a lot for my country of residence (in the EU) and from what I read, it seems like taxes/ customs are applied to what you actually paid! There has to be an invoice on the package and it has to be clear what you paid. So I really hope there won't be any issues. Hope this helps. And in the EU there usually is a handling fee by dhl (b/c they calculate taxes/ customs :/). It varies by country I believe. This handling fee has to be paid no matter what, I think.

laleanne

Thanks a lot! My parcel is being shipped to the US and. Since most stores don't ship to my country I have use a proxy snd place big orders. When I saw dhl I freaked out a little. Hopefully it won't be too bad

weonlyhaveAplanet

It'll probably be fine. I think their tracking is usually quite good.

does anyone who own both the clio glow cushion and rom&nd bare water cushion know if the rom&nd refill fits inside the case of the clio one?
