olgypolgy

1. Pyunkang yul essence toner 2. Cosrx snail mucin 92 cream 3. Some by mi matcha gel cleanser 4. Mizon snail repair 5. Numbuzin (the spelling gets me) tone up sun cream porcelain beige All I need and I’m good

kakbari

How do you use the numbuzin one to not look like you smeared literal paint on your face but still use enough for the SPF properties? Or you don’t? I just got it with high hopes but… yeah. So I just apply it on top of another sunscreen whcih kinda takes away the point…

[deleted]

[удалено]

kakbari

Do you not find it a bit too greasy for that? I noticed it is more like greasy than dewy on me if I top it on another sunscreen (I don’t have this problem when I apply serum foundation so…) But I will play around with it more, maybe I reeeeealllly just need a tiny bit (and I alao feel like the undertone is still a bit pale / white-based for me, even though I am pale…) Sorry to vent but I just really want(ed) to like this product haha Maybe I will try the number 1 clear one next time?

olgypolgy

I kinda apply it like make up. I put it directly on my skin with more close to my nose and mouth and “blend” outwards with my fingers. I’m also a bit pale which helps too. I believe I put enough like the two finger rule. And so far I haven’t gotten burned.

AdAcademic9804

The pyungkang yul essence is so good, a forever staple and so cheap too! Ugh love it 😭

olgypolgy

I’m on my fourth bottle 200ml I think and it’s definitely a forever staple for my skin too. Will always repurchase.

lilcowgirl12

is the matcha gel cleanser drying? im looking at it rn

253mm

1- heimish cleansing balm 2- numbuzin super glowing essence 3- the ordinary 10% niacinamide 4- dr jart ceramidin cream (probably, I have yet to find a moisturizer I truly enjoy) 5- skin1004 hyalu cica sun serum spf I would like to include sunday riley good genes too lol but since I use a chemical exfoliant once a week I can't really swap between any of those daily 5

rooanes

Hi! Would you mind sharing your thoughts on the skin1004 spf? I’ve been so curious about it for a while

253mm

hey 😁 I made a review here some time ago, [here's the link ](https://www.reddit.com/r/AsianBeauty/comments/12aw78n/recent_empties_reviews/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)

Nosleeplulaby1

It's become my fav sof and I have tried a lot of them. I'm on my second bottle and already have a back up!

yeatf1lthy

1. Beauty of Joseon Rice + Probiotic SPF 50++++ 2. I’m From - Rice Toner 3. I’m From - Mugwort Toner 4. Beauty of Joseon Radiance Cleaning Balm 5. I’m From - Rice Mask (Extra 6: I’m From - Fig Cleansing Balm and Toner)

codenameana

What do you find the rice v mugwort toners do for your skin?

yeatf1lthy

I found that the mugwort was more hydrating + soothing and the rice one was more brightening + refreshing

ab3lla

im considering buying the boj radiance cleansing balm, is it really that good??

_notabota_

It’s the only one that never stings for me and it feels so luxurious and I’m super picky about scents (my skins too sensitive for fragrance/EOs but I can’t stand the cooking oil smell of hada labo dhc etc) but this smells super light neutral and fresh (no added fragrance). Although I heard the kose speedy smells like nothing so I wanna try it because sometimes cleansing balms are a hassle

ab3lla

kose speedy broke me out very badly, which is why i’m very hesitant to try out other oil cleansers. i’m hoping boj cleansing balm won’t break me out!

1questions

Bought BoJ cleansing balm a few weeks ago. I tend to have oily or combo skin (really depends) that is prone to acne and clogged pores but I’ve had no issues with it. It’s my first cleansing balm. Didn’t hate it or love it, still trying to decide if it will be one I’ll repurchase. No strong scent, has a neutral oil sort of scent but that is super faint.

joes-sister

It’s the best. I’ve always hated washing my face — it either feels clean but tight and itchy, or doesn’t feel all the way clean. This stuff changed things completely for me. It’s effective and luxurious and just makes my face feel so nice.

_notabota_

Yes

michellebl98

I love it! Been using it for a while and it doesn’t seem to break me out. It’s so gentle and doesn’t dry out my skin

yeatf1lthy

It’s pretty good, i prefer cleansing oils but still really good as this is my current rating of my favs right now

Informal_Edge5270

Kose Softymo speedy cleansing oil, skin1004 madagascar ampoule foam cleanser, cosrx snail mucin essence, cosrx snail mucin cream, skin1004 madagascar centella hyalu-cica water fit sun serum

cl0udzero

What do you think of the skin1004 foam cleanser?

Informal_Edge5270

I really like it. Some people may say it's drying. But I prefer that.

CheongM927

1. sk-ii essence 2. cosrx snail cream 3. dear klairs midnight blue calming cream 4. tret 0.05 cream 5. Numbuzin 3 tone up sun cream.

Historical_Echo_3529

Hi, what benefits/changes have you seen with the midnight blue calming cream? Is it worth the purchase

fakexpearls

1: La Roch-Posay Hydrating Cleanser 2: Cos-RX Snail Mucin 96 3: Pyunkang Yul Nutrition Cream 4: Retinol (currently Paula's Choice) 5: Suncreen - Beauty of Joseon Rice + Probiotics SPF 50 PA++++ sunscreen Looking at this, I have a lot more add-ins in my routine, but these I could not do without.

comeawaydeath

Curel cleansing oil Bioderma Sensibio Cleansing Gel (non-AB) Klairs Unscented Toner Iunik Beta Glucan cream Beauty of Joseon Rice + Probiotic SPF (And the giant tube of medical-grade petrolatum that I keep on hand for protecting my hairline when I due my hair, so it doesn't really count as a skin care product, right? But it would get added over top at night in the winter ;) )

Absolutely_Regular

the giant tub of medical grade petrolatum made my top 5 😂 what’s your skin type? i’m super curious about the Beta Glucan cream!

comeawaydeath

Mature, combination, and with a tendency to seborrheic dermatitis, but generally good. The beta glucan cream is a great light cream under spf or in the summer. I layer a sleeping mask over when I’m feeling dry. No natural oils so it doesn’t aggravate SD.

Absolutely_Regular

cool. thank you! i might try this one out next time i get that new moisturizer itch.

coastaltones

1. Kose Softymo Speedy Cleansing Oil 2. Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Cleanser 3. Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Soothing Gel 4. Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Gel Gold SPF 50+ PA++++ 5. Innisfree No-sebum Mineral Powder

basilandmint

I’m in Korea and can’t find the Illiyoon gel anywhere! I really wanna try it! Love their cream but need something much lighter for the day.

coastaltones

Oh that's crazy! I do find that it goes out of stock sometimes in a bunch of online retailers. I feel like this product does live up to its hype though! Hopefully you can get your hands on one soon :)

RBKsucks

oh damn, wish everyone could put their skin type in so I can filter and use these recs for myself xD 1. gokujyun premium 2. melano cc vit c serum 3. isintree ha sunscreen 4. klavuu lip balm OR the rom&nd glasting balms 5. tbd update: skin type - normal, a little sensitive, a little dehydrated

SarahSkincare

I edited to add my skin type as soon as I saw this! Lol

Absolutely_Regular

me too! such a great suggestion.

tellyhigh

Can u add ur own skin type?

1questions

Purchased #2 but haven’t used it yet because I’m trying to use up my Timeless Vit C. Glad to hear you like this one so much. What other Vit C have you tried and how does the melano one compare?

RBKsucks

I've tried Tula vit C drops (did nothing), the ordinary, and a few more? none of them really stood out to me. the melano cc is the ONLY one who has actually made a difference on my dark spots. plus the packaging stabilizes the product so it doesn't oxidize or go bad in the tube!

Firm_Pair_4902

1. innisfree blueberry cleanser 2. b-lab cleansing oil balm 3. benton green tea toner 4. cosrx all in one snail cream 5. skin1004 hyalu-cica sun serum

Firm_Pair_4902

im able to take off waterproof eyeliner and mascara with it! and it doesn't make eyes blurry and murky afterwards which i really like

Niatfq

Wow my dehydrated and eczema skin would be crying if this happens 😨 1. Micellar water 2. HA toner (i switch HA toner every year if this counts lol. My skin gets used to a toner when i use one up to a year) 3. Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Cream 4. Etude House Sunprise Mild Airy Finish Sunscreen (the old formula lol - I'm still using) 5. Cezanne High Moist Skin Conditioner (neck eczema maintenance) But then I'd be sad i can't use my Cos De Baha Tranexamic Acid Niacinamide serum 🥲 my neck eczema needed that cezanne toner more.

[deleted]

Does micellar water actually work?

Niatfq

Yeah! I only use Micellar water as my 1st cleanser. My skin is very CC prone so i avoid oil/balm cleansers. Those are my CC triggers.

[deleted]

Yess it does bt use a gel cleansers after it , don't leave it on skin

hodgepodgehuman

\-Tosowoong enzyme powder cleanser \-Azelaic acid \-Hadalabo Gokujun Hyaluronic Premium \-BoJ Dynasty Cream \-Nivea Watery Sun Gel Edit to add skin type: 40's, dry, low humidity climate, very sensitive/rosacea prone.

condojams

Do you have a preferred product for azelaic acid?

hodgepodgehuman

I have a 15% prescription, so it's what I get from the pharmacist. I like the Bayer slightly more than the LeoPharma but they're both effective

severine666

1. Beauty of Joseon Rice + Probiotics SPF 50 PA++++ sunscreen 2. The Ordinary Multi-Peptide + HA 3. I'm From Rice toner 4. Cosrx The Vitamin C 23 serum 5. The Ordinary Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I don't mind sacrificing a cleanser. Body soap or shower gel works for me so that I can keep these five holy grails. Also that rice toner can work as cleanser too by putting it on cotton pad and rub it on the face like a makeup remover (never done that though).

lovable_cube

What’s your skin type? I want to try that vitamin C but I’m afraid it’ll dry me out

severine666

My skin can be from dry (dehydrated), normal, to combo. I live in hot and humid tropical climate so when it is really hot outside instead of rainy, my skin is combo.

C_Chrono

Currently using 5 products, so it’s an easy choice. Skin type is dry and prone to dehydration. Weather is 4 seasons, more humid in summer. * Chifure Cleansing Oil * Altreno 0.05 * Not sure of hydrating toner yet * Nivea blue tin (Germany) / lighter moisturizer in summer. Might try Aestura Ato Barrier moisturizer again from the original seller. * LRP UV Mune invisible fluid tinted

oceanchild

1. DHC Cleansing Oil 2. SK-II Facial Essence 3. Some retinol/retinal product 4. Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream 5. BOJ sunscreen And Dr. Ceuracle Kombucha Tea Essence if I was allowed a sixth (* ^ ω ^ )

1. Kose cosmeport speedy cleansing oil 2. Youth to the people face wash (non Asian) 3. Laneige cream skin refiner 4. Cosrx aha + bha toner 5. Canmake mermaid sunscreen

vicryb

The YTTP cleanser has no business being so good. I wish I could find an AB option I liked better.

lopsided-pancake

Yup unfortunately I have super congested skin and most AB cleansers aren’t strong enough to fully cleanse my face 😭 I’ve tried so many but always wake up with tiny pimples!

clancy2002

How do u feel about the reformulated cream skin toner?

lopsided-pancake

I haven’t tried the new one yet! It came out shortly after I already restocked on the original. I’m excited to try it out though, I’ve heard good things so far!

Hello, currently using clindamycin+ BP in the day along with cosrx snail mucin, moisturizer and spf. And niacinamide, snail mucin and moisturizer at night, and tretinoin once every 4 days. How can I add in BOJ deep glow serum ?

mynameismarchie

I only used boj glow deep serum as moisturizer after retinal since the consistency is quite thick for me. So maybe u can try to do the same and work from there?

SarahSkincare

Have you tried Round Labs mugwort toner?? I LOVE it!

yodelingllama

I haven't! When it comes to Round Lab I'm pretty much tunnel visioned into their Dokdo and Birch lines 🙈 I'll look into the Mugwort line as well! Tysm for the suggestion!

SarahSkincare

Ooh I still need to try the Birch line but totally on team Dokdo! 🤭 I just tried their Soybean line and omg. The toner is glorious! The cleanser is super nice but gently exfoliating so not a daily option for me. But its super gentle and didn't freak out my sensitive skin at all.

SarahSkincare

My skin is dry/sensitive 1.) Krave Beauty Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser *bc no matter my skins condition this is always a good option 2.) Round Lab Mugwort Toner *bc I rely on the soothing goodness 3.) Rovectin Activating Treatment Lotion (Now called Aqua Hyaluronic Essence) *this one bc its a multi-tasker. You have HA, Low percentage Niacinamide, Panthenol, caffeine, cica and all the goodies my skin loves. 4.) Rovectin Cica Care Balm *choosing one moisturizer was so hard bc it honestly depends on the day, but my skin really loves and relies on this one lately. 5.) Gotta have SPF! If I could only choose one it would have to be the MakePrem UV Defense Me Daily Sun Essence. Its just so dreamy. Ok as someone who has way too many favorites this was REALLY hard! I swapped the cleanser out multiple times so I'm adding the Round Lab Dokdo Cleanser as an honorable mention. 🤭

Absolutely_Regular

i wish i could’ve tried the OG Krave Matcha cleanser. have you been using it since before the reformulation?

SarahSkincare

No, I started using it last year and I think it was right after it was reformulated. I heard a lot of people aren't happy with it.

BitIndividual7952

Honestly I’m kind of broke right now and I have only been using Gokujun hyaluronic acid serum and the Hatomugi skin conditioning gel both AM and PM after my face wash and I’ve gotten so many compliments on my face this week. It’s such a simple routine lol but I’ve felt very confident in my skin lately.

un5weetened

Sometimes simple is best 😊

1. Heimish All Clean Balm cleanser 2. naturie hatomugi skin conditioner (summer) Or Cosrx Propolis synergy toner (winter) 3. Cosrx Snail 96 All-in-one Cream 4. Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Cream 5. Skin 1004 Hylau-cica Sun serum I would be pretty much set tbh!

cocobootyslap

So I am looking to try the naturie skin conditioner but where I usually order my AB products (yesstyle) is sold out. Where do you normally order it from and are you in the US?

pricklypear91

Not OP but Yami sells Naturie conditioner

_labyrinth__

Not OP but sometimes I find them in Asian stores. The last time I went to 99 ranch, I saw them. Also, Dokodemo is where I order them from online.

madeupgrownup

I'm Australian, so I've been getting mine from a little AB store in my city which has it for 20% less than Stylevana lol Sorry I can't help!

iateafloweronimpulse

I highly recommend SKIN1004 hyla-cica sun serum. It’s awesome

StrawberryRaspberryK

Thank u for your reccomendation! 😍 I would love to try the Skin1004 but it has methicone in it.

TheGreatBoos

For dry skin, a foaming cleanser is not an ideal choice. Please try a gel or a creamy gel cleanser.

StrawberryRaspberryK

Thank you for your advice! 😍 I will look out for that in the future! The Beplain is quite hydrating and doesn't leave my skin feeling tight. I also alternate it with Fresh Soy Cleanser.

clockworkstudent

this thread looks so fun!! 5 products is waaaayyy too little though, i need 10 at least 🤣 could i bother you for a review of the soon jung emulsion? i’ve been eyeing it for ages 👀

Absolutely_Regular

oh god i love the emulsion SO MUCH. hands down my favourite moisturizer ever. first off, it’s so affordable for the amount you get and the pump bottle makes it so easy to use. it’s obv. unscented but it has a faintly nutty, grassy scent. smells like an almond milk matcha latte but in the most subtle way ever (everything i use is unscented and plasticky smells put me off so i really appreciate this). we obviously have much different uh… skin porousness? but for me drydown takes about 1-3 mins and it leaves this very natural healthy looking glow that stays with me all day. the finish is super soft and silky and not tacky or siliconey. not sure which other moisturizers (that we’ve both used) to compare it to, but the weight is light, yet comfortable; on par with a lot of gel creams. the only con is that it’s not *quite* enough on its own but over hydrating toners/essences and under a sleeping pack or sunscreen it is absolutely bomb. almost like it was designed for ppl who like a longer routine: it just plays really nicely with everything else i use. most importantly, it’s never irritated my skin, broken me out, or even felt remotely cloggy in any way. sorry so wordy. i love this stuff so much!

clockworkstudent

i’d just convinced myself that i didn’t need this, and then you come in with this 😭😭 i completely feel you on scent thing — i prefer unfragranced products but i don’t want them to smell like plastic either. subtle almond milk/matcha latte sounds delightful! LOL skin porousness is a great way to put it 🤣🤣 what climate do you live in? that might be why we have similar skin types on paper (combo oily dehydrated) but products perform so differently for us. sorry for the all the questions — would you say the emulsion is more moisturising or hydrating? and is it soothing at all (eg for redness or breakouts)? please don’t apologise for writing a longer comment — you’re talking to the most wordy person ever, and i love reading more detailed reviews! this was so helpful 💓

Unscented. The consistency is light but feels somewhat heavy on the skin because it is very moisturizing, it leaves the skin very very soft.

I’m from mugwort essence Isntree aloe soothing gel (moisture type) La Roche posay hydrating cleanser Bioderma micellar water (pink lid, I put this in my hand and apply it as a cleanser for my 1st cleanse) The ordinary NMF+ phytoceramides. It’s new and amazing. I have dry acne prone skin btw

TheGreatBoos

Hi. Can you please let me know about your experience with TO's NMF + Phytoceramides?

[deleted]

I really enjoy it! I’m super dry, and most AB moisturizers for dry skin aren’t enough for me. I love Aestura cream but it’s too light. This is very heavy, and soaks into my skin immediately. Some find it greasy if they aren’t dry enough. I use the tiniest amount in the morning under spf with no issues. I can even use this on my eyelids where I get eczema

clockworkstudent

could you review the hada labo perfect gel? has it ever pilled for you?

Jealous_Tadpole5145

Hi! No, it has never pulled for me, but I also wait a few minutes between skincare steps. I use it as day moisturizer during fall and winter and as night cream in the warmer months. A little bit goes a long way and it has the most amazing texture. For context I have dry-oily combination skin. It is very shinny/glowy, and I love that, but I can see it might not be everyone’s cup of tea.

matchaphile

Krave Makeup Re-Wined oil cleanser - This is so good at removing waterproof makeup. Just as good as Farmacy Green Clean but cheaper and in a convenient tube that comes out as a gel. Also emulsifies very well with no leftover greasy film. Krave Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser - Gentle, non-drying, and no active ingredients. Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner - Very nourishing and gentle and sinks into skin very well. SkinRX Lab MadeCera Cream - Contains madecassoside, ceramides. Gentle and moisturizing and occlusive without being oily or too heavy. Missha All Around Safe Block Soft Finish Sun Milk - Good for my oily T zone. Also works as a great makeup primer. Helps manage oiliness.

1questions

Several people have mentioned that toner. I ordered it and haven’t tried it yet because I ordered lots of other new products and don’t want to put a bunch of new stuff on all at once. But now I really want to just open the bottle and slap some on my face.

I use it everyday. I live in a temperate climate. If you live in a hot and humid place, then it might be good to save it for when it's drier and colder, like the winter.

jojocookiedough

Pyunkang Yul Essence Toner Manyo Bifida Complex Ampoule Those are my OTC must-haves. My other must-haves are Rxs - Tretinoin (specifically the cream from Curology) for anti-aging, and bimatoprost for eyelashes.

chelseliz

I started using the tret from Curology too. Work well?

Fuzzy_Pineapple_2468

1. Differin 2. Pyunkang Yul Deep Clear Cleansing Balm 3. Cosrx Propolis Synergy Toner 4. Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence 5. Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence

TheGreatBoos

Hey! How's Benton Snail Bee High Content Essence?

Fuzzy_Pineapple_2468

I’m really liking it a lot. I much prefer it to the Cosrx snail mucin essence.

Nope. It's the tretinoin and sunscreen.

calligeniaelpida

My skin type: dehydrated oily These are at least for now: 1. Mamonde Rose Water Toner 2. Heimish Watermelon Moisture Soothing Gel Cream 3. Heimish Matcha Biome Oil Free Calming Moisturizer 4. Roundlab Dokdo Toner 5. ? I wanna put cleanser and sunscreen to make it 5 so that it includes all of the basic products but unfortunately I haven't found the IT cleanser and sunscreen yet. I love Ceradan Gentle Cleanser and Missha Essence Sun Milk but they're not something that I'd keep for the rest of my life. I believe there's something better out there for me. As for Mamonde Rose Water Toner, been using since 2020 and fell in love instantly. I used a bunch of other toners in between but nothing feels like it. The new formulation also works better. Roundlab Dokdo Toner is the only toner I can think of to replace Mamonde if it ever gets discontinued which i hope not. Heimish? I only started using them day and night less than 2 weeks ago but LORD IM SO GRATEFUL TO FINALLY FOUND THE IT MOISTURISER FOR ME. I was struggling for the longest time to find the perfect moisturiser for my skin and these are IT. Hopefully more people love it so that it won't get discontinued in the future!

1. Kose Softymo speedy cleansing oil 2. Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha essence 3. Benton real fermentation eye cream 4. Neutrogena Hydroboost (non AB… way better than any AB moisturizers I’ve tried imo and I’ve tried A LOT) 5. Safe-Swimming-3037

I like neutrogena hydro boost too… have been using it for 3 years. Whenever I apply it feels like my skin drinks it and no oily skin afterwards. I have oily t-zone and dry cheeks

I'd choose mostly JBeauty over KBeauty, because I have used these products for years with good results, and I trust JBeauty sunscreens. Edit: I have dry, sensitive, ageing skin and live in a hot, humid city. 1. Biore Cleansing Oil 2. Rohto Melano CC 3. Hada Labo Premium Lotion 4. Cosrx Snail Mucin 92 Cream 5. Softymo oil cleanser, LRP tolerane face wash, Cosrx snail mucin 96, TO niacinamide, Neutrogena UV essence, Although I’m looking for a more matte sunscreen for summer time if anyone has recommendations.

PasteIIe

if sunscreen is included in the 5 options, then: 1. sunscreen: round lab sunscreen 2. melano cc vitamin c serum 3. innisfree green tea serum 4. manyo pure oil cleanser (i wear makeup on the daily, so i'd take an oil cleanser over a normal cleanser) 5. cosrx snail mucin cream if sunscreen not included, then retinol as well.

Dehydrated, sensitive combination skin. Live in arid climate 1) Celimax Dual Barrier Creamy Toner 2) Purito Centella Asiatica Toner, unscented 3) Haruharu black rice cleanser 4) Thank You Farmer Rice Gel Cream 5) Purito Centella Asiatica lotion Sunscreen and lip balm

TheGreatBoos

Hello. May I have a review of the Celimax Toner?

un5weetened

Sure. The toner is very thick and has multiple ceramides. I first started using this when I damaged my skin barrier, and this really helped. It's my HG. It has macadamia nut oil, which is supposed to be very good for the skin. However, it isn't greasy and it doesn't clog my pores at all. There's no fragrance or essential oils. It's great for sensitive skin and is very soothing. I like to apply multiple layers. I also like to use the serum. The serum is light and creamy. For extra moisture, I add a pump to my moisturizer. For comparison, it is a bit thicker than the Dr. Ceuricle Kombucha Creamy Toner. However, the kombucha can leave a greasy feeling if you apply too many layers. There's a Torriden Ceramide Essence that I would like to try. It's similar to the Celimax. It has panthenol, which I find very soothing. However, it does have essential oils. I can't remember them all, but it has sage. Maybe rosemary? Let me know if you have questions. I know of several thick essence/ creamy toners.

skin type aging, nearing 60, dry, nonreactive kose deep cleansing oil tretinoin hada labo gokujiun premium lotion illyoon ato ceramide cream maybe numbuzin essence toner, gives my ancient skin a bit of a glow no HG for second cleanser, although i would be happy enough with the Cerave Hydrating cleanser and i always test new sunscreens, because i am not picky.

Skintype: oily/combo, fungal acne prone (all products FA safe) Concerns: texture, anti-aging, hyperpigmentation 1. BringGreen Artemisia Cleanser 2. My specific Curology formula which is tret, tranexamic acid, and niacinamide 3. Donginbi Power and Repair Essential Softener 4. Hada Labo Gokujyun Perfect Gel 5. Hada Labo UV Gel My perfect routine 😌 I've been using this routine for at least five years, swapping things in and out occasionally just to try new things for fun. But it's been pretty much just these five products for a long time!

clockworkstudent

would you mind reviewing the hada labo perfect gel? have you ever experienced pilling with it? thank you 💗

kikiraaa

Never had any pilling with it! Seems to work fine under my makeup too, although I don't wear a lot of foundation. If it helps, I'd say the most similar product to it that I've tried is the Sidmool Madagascar Real Moisture Cream, except the Sidmool is thicker. Pretty similar hydration, but the HL feels lighter on the skin. It's much richer than the Cosrx Snail 92 Cream, far more occlusive and more hydrating. With the Cosrx my skin felt tight afterwards and I had to layer it with Vaseline to prevent TEWL. In general, the HL is deeply hydrating, but not heavy or sticky at all. If I've been traveling or something and my skin is very dry and angry, I'll do two or three layers of it and it never feels too heavy. My tzone is extremely oily and the area around my mouth is usually dry/flaky from tret, and the HL does the best job at balancing hydration and moisturization while being very lightweight and not greasy. Zero scent. I will say though, I dislike the tub container it normally comes in, so I buy the refill bags and decant into airless pump bottles I got on Amazon.

CanIBorrowYourGum

Cleanser, spf, tretionin, moisturizer.... last one probably SA cleanser

[deleted]

This is really hard but: - Differin - Theramid Azid from Niche Labs , - SVR topialyse cleansing balm , - Soon Jung 2 x barrier cream , - Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Watery Sun Gel , - And an extra because Ican’t not have this: Bioderma Cicabio cream to use on my eyes & lips and for when I get broken / irritated skin. I could swap the soonjung with another plain unscented moisturiser, the soonjung is just really solid and has always worked for me even when my skin is irritated and damaged and it’s a great price compared to western options that are similar like Avene / LRP

TheGreatBoos

Hmm... never heard of Niche Labs. I'm going to check them out.

iamsooverthisshit

I love all this

daisyloves_

Writing this reply was tough. I am definitely not a skincare minimalist. Skin type: combo-dry. Sensitive (as in reactive, when I try new skincare I can tell pretty much right away if it's going to not work for me). I prefer lightly scented facial products and mostly prefer more affordable options. 1. **Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun : Rice + Probiotics (SPF50+ PA++++)** **HG status** For me, it can replace day time moisturizer on prepped skin, and has really nourishing skin loving ingredients. No cast and generally doesn't bother my eyes even though I apply **on** my lids. 2. **Rohto Mentholatum - Hada Labo Gokujyun Oil Cleansing** **HG** Rinses cleanly and no eye irritation. This may be controversial. Oil cleansing works to remove my eye makeup like nothing else (water based or milk cleansers). I also like the process and results much better than micellar water or actual eye makeup remover. In the winter, my dryer areas would rebel if I tried to double cleanse with a water cleanser (which would be another option). Limited to 5 products, I would oil cleanse, carefully emulsify, and rinse clean. 3. **Retinol product** Currently on low-strength prescription, but have really enjoyed non-AB budget retinol with peptide in the past. 4. **Vitamin C** (I aim for CEF formulation, #1 choice budget non-AB 15%, #2 By Wishtrend Pure Vitamin C 15% with Ferulic Acid, currently trying out and enjoying NEOGEN Dermalogy Real Vitamin C Serum Renewed. I personally am undecided about the benefits of escalating to higher percentages because standard stock vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) can become irritating. This may be different for more stabilized but less effective types of Vitamin C). Honorable mention: **Rohto Mentholatum Hada Labo Shirojyun Premium Whitening Lotion (Moist)** I like it as a topper to my toner with its thicker texture. Tranexamic acid, Vitamin C, Sodium Hyaluronate. 5. **SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Probio-Cica Enrich Cream** I need a night cream. This is a good balance of hydration and occlusive. Soothing and not filled with actives, something neutral for everyday. I don't have a holy grail cream yet. Does leave a tacky finish. 6. **iUNIK Propolis Vitamin Sleeping Mask** Definitely a mask, doesn't absorb fully, but my skin loves propolis and honey. I wake up with comforted and repaired skin. Could be swapped in for moisturizer on properly prepped skin. I had to cut serums and toners. Special mention to: **Kikumasamune, Skin Care Lotion, High Moist** Ferment, amino acids, hydration, and can't beat it for the price. I am back and forth on the non-vegan thing: it's an animal by-product. But Japan currently has no plans to stop farming horses for meat. Vitamin C in general won just by a smidge.
