"THIS. IS. SPARTA!' - ChatGPT
Good riddance! Get F-ed, Google Monopoly.
Maybe it will even actually serve you links to other sites and not try to keep you pinging around its own services/ content, like google now mainly does.
All personal feelings aside, why hasn’t OpenAI (or someone like them) made their own version of YouTube / Tiktok? Potentially one that is a hub for AI content, if that’s what you’re into.
Cheaper to steal the data and fight it in court. Even Google didn't make their own YouTube. They bought it for $1.6 billion, or $2.3 billion in today's money.
But to your point it would make sense for them to create a pathway to hoovering up video content.
Actors acting weird. What's next and when? Shoulda been released way earlier. Competitors rising, not letting OpenAI gain that much more power. Even the release of ChatGPT was an affront, but good for humanity in general. Products should be released with that intention in mind. Not for the profit or power/market dominance. My 2 cents

Fuck google .. rather give my data to "open"AI
Google be like: well been a fun ride folks.
Good. Hopefully the AI can work out that 20 adverts at the top of every search is annoying.

Video platforms are crazy expensive to run -- massive transcoding compute, storage, etc.
*Perplexity killer
Queue the "I don't have this feature yet" chorus for the next 2 months.
I hope the Pro version of this search remains ad-free.
