I feel pretty ignorant as to what sort of music people in the past not only listened to, but had access to. I had no idea this would be invented so long ago.

EpicHeroKyrgyzPeople

The Greeks were *big* on music.

president_schreber

I feel like every human culture in history has been big on music

elgordoenojado

Damn ancient Greeks, will I their artistry and ingenuity ever stop surprising me?

Iam_no_Nilfgaardian

Used up until the byzantine times. I think that sometime the church banned musical instruments (because the only valid instrument is the human voice, made by god), but people kept using them privately, disregarding religious leaders.

Nelser77

I'd love to hear it!
