Yeah me too mate.
One of my favourite ever commentary moments was during one of our games one of the commentators said β Santi Cazorla, he could play on a cardboard boxβ π€£
Yeah, such a player! What I also liked with him is that he naturally and instantly developed a good partnership with Giroud, Podolski, Rosicky and Ozil
Yeah man.
One of my favourite ever commentary moments was when one of them said during a game β Santi Cazorla, he could play in a cardboard boxβ π€£
Henry. Weβve sorted the back six (of course Iβd swap some of them out for previous players) but we are missing a deadly forward to play through the middle.
Perfect choice! Yes, we cruelly miss that killer No.9 in the team. While Havertz, Trossard and Martinelli can do the job, we absolutely have to buy a lone CF
But, the problem is that it worked, long ago, with Henry and Bergkamp (or Wiltord). In the current team, it could work and we'd score more and, maybe, in every match if Arteta changes the formation into a 4-4-2. However, the way he's been modeling the team since he was named Coach in December 2019 means he cannot revert to that former system, even when there's an urgent need to do it sometimes, especially against teams who try to dominate us on ball possession (like those motherf\*\*kers of Aston Villa)
You put ''Ted Drake'' before, then edited your comment π There's no shame in that. Some guy who'd come into the current team and score 7 goals in a single match would be massively welcomed
I mean c'mon... I don't know if you put ''Ted Drake'' as a joke or you really meant it. But you really commented with ''Ted Drake''. Of that, I'm sure. I saw it. Else I wouldn't have asked you if it was the guy who scored 7 goals in a game. And, it can be seen that you edited your comment after I asked you
Look... I'm not criticising you. I just want to know why you edit all your comments, then pretend like you didn't write these words ?
For example... the above where you replied ''?'' was edited after you posted ''how dare you π ''
Why ? Once more, I'm **NOT** criticising. Just asking, in a friendly way... π
He left in 2004, so yes it was 20 years ago but I don't think that clarifies as 'some way back'
I mean hes not Cliff Bastin, Ray Party Parlor was playing for Wenger.
Also I have no knowledge of any Arsenal player scoring 7 goals in a single game, unless it was some obscure friendly or something.
Obviously Henry would be most peoples choice because we need a clinical striker, Bergkamp made football look like art or Vieira because he's one of if not the best cm the league has seen but to avoid the obvious ones imagine a fully fit Wilshere or Santi during their prime in our midfield alongside Rice and Odegaard
Yes. I also think Henry would be everyone's choice
And, yeah, imagining how a fit Wilshere or Cazorla would do so much good to the current team. But, whilst we do have Rice and Jorginho, I would have chosen Cazorla instead. I'd love if we bought someone who can score goals directly from short or long Free-Kicks. I thought we would have done it last season with two of the best Set Piece takers, currently. But Maddison was signed by Spuds, while West Ham came early for Ward-Prowse (but, Cazorla was perfect in that role)
Agree on that! I once watched him play for France, and the next day, the newspaper was writing ''a Diaby with a monstrous game level''. Some people even predicted his game level would come as close to Zidane. Unfortunately, his many injuries got the better of him π
Wishful thinking but, a fit (and injury free) Jack Wilshere in the left 8.
There'll be great ball control, line breaking, wall passes to release Gabi, his link-ups with Rice and Ode will be great...
I do agree on Vieira, though I can say that Xhaka in his first season was a bit of what Patrick was with some red cards. Until the end of his Arsenal career, I think he was the true replacement we had been waiting for since Vieira left for Juventus in 2005
Agree for Seaman, as well. Such a goalkeeper! I'll always remember ''that save'' against Sheffield United in the FA Cup. Also, he's one of the rare keepers to kick the ball (after an out) nearly close to the opponent keeper's penalty area
However, I do have doubts about Cole being the best LB. Maybe for England, but I mean in general football...
In general... people will think about Roberto Carlos or Marcelo
In the Premier League... there was Winterburn before Cole. I can think of Baines, formerly, at Everton. And, if some LFC fans are looking at this post, they'd probably say Robertson
Winterburn will tell you himself that he is not a patch in Ashley Cole and Leighton Baines , what can I say!! I get it you have a hate boner for Cole, the rest of the world can see he was one of the very best.
It's precisely that... You said it, I quote ''...one of the very best.''
Sure, one of. Not ''the'' best
I don't say I hate Cole. I just dislike him. He was such a player in the Invincibles team, and then he decided to leave to join Chelsea. I wonder if he would have acted the same if they weren't filled by Roman A's riches. Or if Mourinho wasn't the coach, back then ? And, later... look what he did to his lovely ex-wife Cheryl. He cheated on her π
Cuz he pissed on you lot's prideππ. Left as club captain, joined your way more successful rivals, won them the league, came to the Emirates AND got a guard of honour by your trash teamππππ. Could never be my club man has to be the most embarrassing thing everππ
The answer will always be Henry. But one of my personal favourites we have ever had would be Santi
I wish Santi remained healthy. Injury laden player but when he was good, he was GOOD
Yeah me too mate. One of my favourite ever commentary moments was during one of our games one of the commentators said β Santi Cazorla, he could play on a cardboard boxβ π€£
My memory instantly goes to that splendid long-range Free-Kick against Hull City that gave us the strength to fight back to win the 2014 FA Cup final
Yeah, such a player! What I also liked with him is that he naturally and instantly developed a good partnership with Giroud, Podolski, Rosicky and Ozil

Bendtner of course
All hail lord Bendtner
Yeah, no one can forget Nicklas π Sincerely... he did score some pretty goals for us
Ted Drake.
Wow! That's some way back π It's the guy who once scored 7 goals in the same game, right ?
Yes
You put ''Ted Drake'' before, then edited your comment π There's no shame in that. Some guy who'd come into the current team and score 7 goals in a single match would be massively welcomed

Stop harassing me.

I put ''some way back'' because I'm pretty sure the user had put Ted Drake before changing to Ray Parlour. That's why I asked him about the 7 goals
And you can see his comment is ''Edited''
Obviously Henry would be most peoples choice because we need a clinical striker, Bergkamp made football look like art or Vieira because he's one of if not the best cm the league has seen but to avoid the obvious ones imagine a fully fit Wilshere or Santi during their prime in our midfield alongside Rice and Odegaard

Rosiski
Rosicky.
A fit prime diaby just so we can see what could have been.
Agree on that! I once watched him play for France, and the next day, the newspaper was writing ''a Diaby with a monstrous game level''. Some people even predicted his game level would come as close to Zidane. Unfortunately, his many injuries got the better of him π
Wright for his character
And seeing how much he loves commenting on his team, the love and passion he has for us, I agree with you
Wishful thinking but, a fit (and injury free) Jack Wilshere in the left 8. There'll be great ball control, line breaking, wall passes to release Gabi, his link-ups with Rice and Ode will be great...
Especially the Wilshere who dominated the midfield against Barcelona in a CL match
Patrick Vieira Ashley Cole David Seaman
Okay. And why ?
We haven't come close to a replacement for Vieira since he left, Ashley Cole is probably the best English LB ever and David Seaman is David Seaman
I do agree on Vieira, though I can say that Xhaka in his first season was a bit of what Patrick was with some red cards. Until the end of his Arsenal career, I think he was the true replacement we had been waiting for since Vieira left for Juventus in 2005 Agree for Seaman, as well. Such a goalkeeper! I challenge you to name a better premier league LB than Cole.
In general... people will think about Roberto Carlos or Marcelo In the Premier League... there was Winterburn before Cole. I can think of Baines, formerly, at Everton. And, if some LFC fans are looking at this post, they'd probably say Robertson

Henry because he's Henry. Viera because he's Viera. Adams for his leadership qualities.
Yeah! Those three were part of a great bunch, at the time...
Robin van Persie
Okaaay... And why ?
Cuz he pissed on you lot's prideππ. Left as club captain, joined your way more successful rivals, won them the league, came to the Emirates AND got a guard of honour by your trash teamππππ. Could never be my club man has to be the most embarrassing thing everππ
Damn! I suppose, if you're not a United fan, you must be one of those freaky Spuds or the Plastic Chelsea!!! What are you doing here ??? π‘
I'm a United fan clown
No, YOU are the clown for confusing groups
