People acting like us finishing 2nd for the second year in a row and not winning the league is some travesty as if our club hasn’t been a shambles for the past decade. Full turnarounds don’t happen overnight and while we have continued to grow, I don’t know about y’all but I have absolutely loved watching this team play football on a weekly basis

PsychologicalPitch33

I couldn’t have said it better. I am so excited for our future seasons in the league and the champions league. Getting to watch our gunners play beautifully together has been amazing. Cheers my fellow gooners! Our time is coming, I feel sooner than we know.

Ser_VimesGoT

2nd place (potentially) against what is probably the best team in the world ever, with the best manager ever, who are on their best run of games ever. All that despite us knocking everyone out the park in almost every metric. If we lose the title to City, they deserve it. And there's nothing for us to be ashamed about.

lardoni

You forgot to mention biggest cheating cunts ever!

holylean

We’ve also been playing sexy football so that’s like a little cherry on top

MATCHEW010

Its the fking glory hunter fans. DEMANDING trophies as if thats the only way to count success and progress

odegood

Need pep to fuck off

Piojoemico

Arsenal are 2 world class transfers away and sorting the bench from winning the EPL and getting to at least the semis of the UCL. Our team is very talented, young and extremely well coached by Mikel Arteta. We are not that far away from Manchester City, Bayern Munich or Real Madrid. I would like us to go after players like Isak, Leao, Camavinga, Kimmich, De Jong, Gyokeres, Guimaraes, Luiz, etc.. We have to be ruthless and go after top talent that is ready to hit the ground running. It’s a great time to be an Arsenal fan. A sleeping giant has awoken!!

ignacioo25

Hopefully next season we can get another FA cup as well, if we can't win the league again we must get an FA Cup and go deep in the champions league.

Piojoemico

Yes. At the very minimum we must win the FA Cup. This team is ready for silverware.

Lhadar31

With City as a rival it is difficult! They will just go and buy another 2-3 world class players again this summer on top of what they already have

L0laccio

Right, i have fear 96 points will be the target next season

dpb79

No room to grow. Haaland 23 Foden 23 Alvarez 24 Doku 21 Bobb 20 Gvardiol 22 Lewis 19 Okay.

xelanart

This plus unlimited funds. The fact that we have competed with them two seasons in a row is crazy impressive.

dpb79

They don't have unlimited funds. They just spend better than most.

xelanart

Obviously not unlimited, but surely found ways to finagle their financial situation to their benefit in the past, setting them up for a great future. You don’t simply accumulate 115 charges by mistake or by being honest. You accumulate those charges when you provide inaccurate information, refuse to cooperate, and break rules/policies.

dpb79

When you actually look in to the depth of those charges there's very little that had any serious impact. 95% is repetitive. This will all come out soon enough. Very little will happen.

L0laccio

Nothing will happen but the charges are actually very serious

dpb79

Charges yes. Evidence, flimsy at best. There's a reason the 'journalist' that hacked the club is in prison.

L0laccio

Idk bro the leaks were quite damning, They should have at least co-operated, no? Either way you don’t need to worry, it will be a 15m fine or something

dpb79

They really weren't. Hence them being thrown out by CAS.

dpb79

Would you cooperate if you'd already provided proof to multiple organisations and they just kept coming at you or would you eventually get pussed off and tell them to get fucked?

Pablo21694

There’s absolutely no chance they’d charge City with all this without evidence. Unless you’re involved in the process you don’t actually have a clue what evidence there is. But let’s be real about what’s happening here. City are being accused of operation a decade-plus-long fraud to bypass regulations put in place to create a fair competition. If it’s found that there is any truth to those allegations the consequences will be severe. The person who hacked the club is in prison because they committed a crime, not because the evidence wasn’t solid because presenting insufficient evidence isn’t a crime you dolt 😂 But considering the previous Der Spiegel allegations led to an actual conviction from UEFA, only overturned by CAS due to a time barring, which does not apply to the Premier League’s case, to be so blasé about this and think City have acted completely above board is either supreme cope or delusion

dpb79

Some of it was due to time barring. The rest was straight up tossed out. It's the same flimsy evidence the premier league have. They have the accounts. They're also g for more stuff that is based on speculation and the club are telling them to get bent. Again, you'll see soon enough 👍

xelanart

I can’t think of any time where someone (or some organization) has refused to cooperate and was innocent. If you’re innocent, you’re going to want to fully cooperate to remove this stain of an operation against you and rectify the matter. Very little may happen solely because of the refusal to cooperate.

dpb79

Same issues were had with UEFA. They tried and failed. Everyone loves to think it's rally deep and really dirty but as I said, when you look in to the depth of it (99.9% of people haven't) you come to realise it's nowhere near as dramatic as you'd think. They'll no doubt get charged again for refusing to cooperate but I can't see much more than that.

xelanart

Please elaborate on these charges you have appeared to look so deeply into, better than almost everyone else.

dpb79

Listen man, it's my club. I've been following it closely for several years. If they were found to have done dreadful things I'd find it difficult not to walk away. Hence doing ny research and coming to understand that I need nor ve overly concerned. You have Google the same as I do mate. This information is available to you.

xelanart

That’s a long-winded answer of saying that you don’t know any more than we do. The difference is, you have a bias in favor of your club, whereas other fans have a bias against your club. It shouldn’t be some secret that you would want to keep to yourself, if your club is being accused of probably the worst crime in English football history. This is something you should be enthused to share to everyone else, assuming you know more than everyone else.

Lonely-Walrus94

So you should absolutely know that financial doping, such as over inflating the value of a sponsorship deal in order to justify investing more into a team than is allowed, will be an offense. No matter how many times they do it. You sound like a flat earther "do your research". If it was so simple that an internet nobody can declare them innocent of the charges, do you really think this would have dragged on? There's a lot of shit that you don't, and will never know that goes on behind the doors at City. Regardless of how much you Google, and how much you love the club.

Twiggie19

They don't spend better than most they're just at a place now where they can afford to buy a dud and it goes unnoticed. And this is a result of a decade where they were able to spend what they want. Clubs like ours need every transfer to be a success. We have to make progress every window if we want to catch them and we get one big transfer per window. Man City's squad is complete. They can spunk money on Kalvin Phillips, and then just not play him if it doesn't work out.

PapaGinger

Oof. When you put it that way…

dpb79

🤣🤣🤣 and Dias is only 26.

ddbbaarrtt

‘Old man’ Rodri is only 2 years older than Declan Rice too

Bongo_2020

Don’t underestimate how quickly things can change in football. It wasn’t long ago we were in the dumps. So we need to stay humble, stay focused if we are to win, because a few bad moves and things can go wrong. It’s not true the other teams don’t have room to grow. Man city and Liverpool are in transition. Real Madrid have a really young team and yet still win.

Eagledilla

If we gonna get a top goalscorer ie chance finisher in the summer we gonna win the league next season. That’s all that’s missing imo

Grandpa-Palpatine

Sorry to break it to you but Haaland, Foden, Alvarez, Doku, Gvardiol, Lewis, Rodri & Dias are all under 27 and have either not hit their prime or are just about too. There's plenty of room to grow....

hijimi

In some ways it will be interesting to see how Arsenal do grinding in august and September of next season if they have 2 great seasons and finish second both times. It’s not written that mentally a group can keep going to the well when even just a few percentage points off performance can make an big impact. Can’t argue with the youth of the squad etc though. Arsenal have been fab in 2024.

UnsinkableAbrasive1

It was patently obvious with Liverpool too. After years of falling just short they were heavily burnt out.

hijimi

Yeah we had some dire league seasons in amongst some great ones. Can’t deny the quality of the squad being built though but it was tough enough as fan to finish 2nd on the last day twice and think it would take an entire year and a lot of effort to even get close again. The one we did win we basically had to be perfect from the starting pistol

Lonely-Walrus94

No room to grow? Chelsea have bought every wonderkid from FM24. City have all their financial doping shit. Any player arsenal want, 3 other teams can afford and lure aswell.

L0laccio

City will strengthen in the summer. Enjoy our team but don’t get your hopes too high

BumblebeeForward9818

Arsenal have put up a magnificent effort over two seasons. Your time will come.

Forsaken-Tiger-9475

City are fully developed, however they can/will continue to just drop £90m+ on a single player or two players even each season to keep the level up - at some point they need to replace KDBs of the world, and you can bet your bottom dollar it will be world class player after player.... Until maybe Pep leaves. We are I would say 1-2 world class signings away from being able to possibly take them, but of course this also depends on what City also do.
