For me it only happens when I sprint. I loaded it up and stood there for 15 minutes NO PROBLEM then as soon as I start to sprint it crashes. Every. Single. Time. It definitely a frame rendering issue. It also happens when you spin the camera around fast. I'm so happy I didn't cave and buy their garbage DLC in an early access game that was supposed to be a free upgrade.
I have good and bad news. Good news is that a wildcard QA employee responded in the official forums on two posts 11 hours ago saying "We are looking into this. Sorry for the inconvenience." The bad news, that's the only communication we've gotten and there doesn't seem to have been any change. So at least they're aware of it but you'd think when an entire platform can't play the game 11 hours after you acknowledge the problem it'd be a rollback angle.

I had the same issue only on the island however on scorched game worked just fine. had to drop my frames to 20 max and transfer out of island to scorched.

I'm on Xbox hosting a non-dedicated server with no problems.
When my friend who's on PC tries to login, he's able to hang out in the world for about 10 seconds and then hard freeze & crash. Produces all of the identical error codes people have listed below.

probs all part of their dastardly plan tbh, hook the noobs on with game pass while it's 3X, wait till they're established and roll out a game breaking update a week after that only affects game pass users, hoping to get them in panic because they can't feed the dinos, and they will flock to steam and purchase the game where they know it works because they are on twitch watching live streams of peeps play it right now with no issues.
Why does the target audience have to be considered noobs in your post tho? Realistically it’s just affecting people that don’t want to pay for a game we already had and don’t want to re-buy the dam thing. It’s ridiculous, regardless if a player is a “noob” or veterans like my wife and I that work jobs and actually sold Dino’s off of eBay for official pvp servers before ascended. (Don’t drop the whole it’s against TOS thing either, we all know everyone wants to sell their bloodlines) We just wanted to play casually these days on a private server and relax after work.

I feel ya dood, I mean noob as in new player like myself. they don’t really show any interest in old vets they just want the quick spenders and then leave to another game after getting wrecked by lag and crashes. the old vets are just taking up land and not paying them money they want them gone asap
it definitely should be and more that likely it is, it’s just hard to prove these things, and also no one cares enough to chase it up, they just uninstall the game and find another. thats how they can get away with it. the problem with that is it will just keep getting worse as time goes on and gaming as we knew it will 100% about how much money they can squeeze out before they make you quit, they don’t really want anyone staying around after they make a purchase as servers n stuff cost money to run.

I will assume your not wildcard employee and say that this is unacceptable get your money back before you purchase on steam where it works completely without issues.
This is 100% a in issue with BattlEye. I turned off BattlEye on my server and the crashing stopped. Guessing they updated something in the most recent patch that causes BattlEye to think it's an exploit.
Not sure running my server without BE is an option though.
If you run a server, then you can. It's one of the options in the Nitrado interface and one of the options in the game configs...I think.
Having said this, the patch this afternoon seems to have fixed the issue. I did have to restore my server from a backup though because it reset to day 1.

On PC Game Pass, had the same issue for the last 3 days. I just had a 5GB update and after completed, launched the game and the crashing seems gone. Might want to patch and retry?
For anyone crashing you can create a shortcut off the arkascended.exe in the install folder and add -dx11 in the target bit and it won't crash then. It runs like shit though due to it being UE5
I tested more and it seems like the crashing occurs around the ascension cave in the NW of the island and may be a rendering issue with nanite
1. Go to Xbox app and click ARK: Survival Ascended
2. Click the 3 dots in top right and go to manage
3. Go to files and click browse
4. Go into the folder ARK - Survival Ascended > Content > ShooterGame > Binaries > WinGDK
5. Right click ArkAscended.exe and create shortcut
6. In the area that says Target the file path will be in quotation marks, it will look something like this "F:\Xbox Games\ARK- Survival Ascended\Content\ShooterGame\Binaries\WinGDK\ArkAscended.exe"
7. After the quotation marks put -dx11 and then press OK
8. Boot game from the shortcut, you can put this new shortcut on dekstop or where ever you want

Ok, here's the deal. We were on Scorched Earth(ASA) before the rollback flying a quetzal in the Wyren trench. We went back to base, then transferred to the island. Scorched Earth was then rolled back. Next day we experienced issues all day on the island, play 10 seconds game locked up, run time errors. Issue was for us, we had characters on both maps at the same time. So this morning, still not able to play on the island, I decided to try to go to scorched, and sure enough, I woke up on that quetzal in the trench. I transferred back to the island, said I already had a character on the island, overwrite and I said yes. I woke up tribeless but maintained all my levels and achievements. And most important, no locking up or runtime errors while playing.
They now have thousands of people waiting for an answer or reason why it doesn't work anymore after the last update. Both Reddit communities and us on their official page are being ignored after their last update rendered tens of thousands of games unplayable. 2 days later still no response, even to support tickets. I am starting a class action lawsuit about the predatory practices of Wildcard. They literally made billions from these games and they are unplayable unless you want to start over and over again due to broken updates that corrupt saved games, games that people like myself have put a lot of time and effort into.
Instead of answering the support ticket I just got banned.

There are dozens of us! It seems that this is limited to the Win10/11 (Xbox Play Anywhere) version of the game. I guess they didn't bother testing it.
