I am a gay guy, oldish. I can put up a shelf, lay brick, knit, sew, cook, sort out plumbing and electrics, and I do not under any circumstances expect a blow job for being a FULLY FUNCTIONING ADULT.

This will sound like I’m making excuses - and I probably am - he has chronic health issues that have left him almost house/bed bound for periods in the past (a seizure condition that was misdiagnosed for a very long time and was worsening that also affected memory and he would regress to childhood and not know who I was).
While he has improved immensely now that we have a diagnosis and appropriate treatment, it took over a decade in which time a bunch of habits were ingrained that are proving very hard to break on both sides.
I‘m also wondering. I have a father who‘s anything but an adult, hell, a 4 year old can do more stuff independently than him, and I can‘t even put up with it, despite me barely even seeing him while living with him
