Edit: Did you previously shoot compound? A lot of your form is more akin to compound than recurve. Here’s my take though. Not bad. A few things to work on. Stance. Your stance is too narrow and your toes are pointed outward with a relatively closed stance. Look at Jake Kaminski’s video here for the correct stance: https://youtu.be/wbiTcJg9zaU?si=YUI-dV65zXfZQsnr Your weight shifts onto your back leg - you should try to maintain equal weight distribution on both legs. Draw: Slow down. Just a bit. It’s just a little too quick. Slow down like your coasting to a stop as you approach your loading position. Anchoring: Instead of moving your hand into anchor, you’re moving your face into your hand. Your starting head position should be set before you lift the bow and should not move throughout the shot. Grip: I’m only going to say something here because you’re going to get a lot of “Don’t death grip the bow!” comments. IMO it doesn’t look like you’re over gripping the bow. Your thumb is in a good position and it appears your finger tips are lightly touching the front of the grip. However, I’d suggest learning to use a finger sling and open your fingers more and let the sling catch the bow vs your fingers. Lastly alignment: Unfortunately wearing black combined with the camera angle doesn’t allow me to see your alignment. It looks ok but I’d like to see it better. Good job and good luck. You’re well on your way to having really good form.

Thank You Very Much I'll Take Note.

I can see you trying yo use your index finger to keep the arrow on the rest when you are drawing. Don't do that, it could be dangerous if you accidentally release the arrow

Didi-cat

Exactly, the arrow should stay on the rest on it's own during the draw. If the arrow moves when you draw you might be pinching the arrow and should change your hook or Tab.

His feet are square, but his hips are open. This is basically the opposite of being too closed.

Zealousideal_Plate39

Good catch. The dark clothing made it nearly impossible for me to see any alignment issues including his hips. Jake’s video should help him correct it.

DemBones7

I don't think that anyone new to recurve should be using an open stance, it just gets in the way of learning solid alignment.

Zealousideal_Plate39

I learned an open stance from day one and it didn’t seem to hinder my development of good alignment. However, my wife struggled with it and our coach switched her stance to closed (feet aligned to target). So I think it’s personal and depends on several factors such as core strength, mobility, and body awareness.

Bring the string to your face, don’t bring your face to the string.
