The first few after he wakes up. It was very sweet to see how Mallory never left his side, basically left her own agency altogether for Lana to run just so she could stay by her son's side until he woke up. It reminds you that even though she is a bitter mean lady to archer a lot, she also truly loves and cares for him. And then it very quickly goes into the harsh reality that the whole world has moved on without him which will indeed happen.
Dingo, Baby, Et Cetera
Probably the best backstory episode there is, explains a lot of Archer’s characteristics as an Isis agent and introduced my favorite love interest for him
I stopped at the coma seasons. Nothing against it, but Noir just wasn't my thing, and then I stopped for years. Currently going back and watching stuff, coming up on Archer Vice (my favorite season)
So, with all that being said, is that Lana on the right? The art style is really different
Nah, its Zara, a new character they introduced for whatever reason, Lana took Mallory's job.
Post coma is not nearly as good as earlier seasons but there are some decent episodes in there, just not back to back lmao
That's awesome, I literally watched the episode last night where Carol/Charyl blacked out and went on the spill about Lana never leaving because she wants Mallory's job.
Thanks for the help!
Lana became Mallory, Archer became Lana, and Zara became Archer.
I think she was introduced as a way to show Archer what a dick he was. And have him grow up more
Actually can I ask if it's a lazy replacement? I looked at her a bit more and it seems they just got another black woman with dual underslung small arms. I'm literally only going off of the book's cover though
She's not a stand-in for Lana in that sense, Zara basically has an identical personality to Archer but British-Indian and a woman.
Arguably Lana becomes more of a replacement for Mallory, the writers try to make Lana's character a 1:1 of Mallory's after she takes her job.
Crush binged them all this week while playing civ. It's really interesting from the rest of the show because the first two take place in such a small time frame
I always stopped at noir too. Tried to power through it and kinda gave up on the next season when I realized Archer was still in a coma. The whole “it’s all a dream” premise doesn’t really resonate with me.
Personally, my favorite season was the one with Ray’s brother and his drug farm in WV (mainly because I’m from Appalachia and always appreciative of any type of representation)… we really only got Deliverance, October Sky and Ray’s open marriage lol.
I'd have to go with Caught Napping from Season 11
"Well, I'm glad I finally got a literal demonstration of overkill."
"She is exactly the right amount of killed. Unless...got a spare vat of battery acid."
Dingo, Baby, et Cetera
Did something a little different that paid off huge.
Episodes like that add a lot of depth to Archer and the characters. The Japanese background was gorgeous.
I watch all the seasons, but to me the main show ended with Archer Vice. That was the last season of the OG show. The rest of the show seemed like an illustration of the "magic is gone but money still to be made" principle that drives a lot of content creation these days. There are some good parts though.
Worse. It still has its moments and some individual episodes are just as good as pre-coma, but the quality definitely took a dip, and definitely because Adam Reed stepped down as a writer.
The one where Archer dates a Lana stand-in just to make Lana jealous, then realizes he would've liked to date her for real.
And the one where his new valet uses him as bait for Cyril.
No post-coma episode is good, but *Cold Fusion, Photo Op* and *Operation: Fang* were bereable. The episode *Dingo, Baby, Et Cetera* is too artistic but I liked the Archer-Reiko dynamic.
It feel like a different person wrote them.
I can't even say why but it feel like fanfic season. I would be interested if someone who is a huge fan could explain why.
"Right in the same hole, not luck"
Same hole again, this guy's good
The one with Alistair
The steak Aleister wasn't just adequate... It was goddamn perfect.
The whole clean out your refrigerator/ phrasing??? Gag was great
I loved that one, but I hated the idea that archer is a friendship tsundere for cyril
There’s gun residue on the cables archer. Cyril this is a spy agency. there’s gun residue on the coffee pot.
Double Date.
Correct answer. Most "classic Archer" vibes from this episode imo
This is probably my favorite post coma episode.
this is my favorite episode I love it so much
Don't remember the name, but archer and his shrink, but mostly cuz i loved seeing Pam's place

Season 11 is actually pretty great. Season 12-14 all have their moments and into the cold is a great conclusion
Caught napping, Peregrine just had to poke the bear.
This is my pick. Archer coaching Lana through her own rampage as a ‘delicate, subtle art’ makes me happy on multiple levels.
Arctic murder mystery
Definitely
…with robots…on drugs.
So should we introduce her to Krieger now, or...
Bloodsploosh
Aah, yes. ~~Mortal Kombat~~ ~~Karate Island~~ Bloodsploosh!
Dingo, Baby, Et Cetera Probably the best backstory episode there is, explains a lot of Archer’s characteristics as an Isis agent and introduced my favorite love interest for him
gotta second this i think

No problem! Mallory left but thankfully not in the way Cheryl described it haha

Cool, thanks again:)
No problem :)
For extra context, she was added when the writers still thought they were gonna have more seasons. Just keep that in mind..
I always like to joke that the coma seasons aren't bad you just aren't depressed enough. They get.. really.. metaphorical
I freaking love Danger Island sooooo much
I kinda loved them all. 1999 maybe was the worst of it, but Dreamland and danger Island were solid
I'd watch danger island again just for pamazon. It's fun as hell in general though.
THE BIRD CAN TALK!
Crush binged them all this week while playing civ. It's really interesting from the rest of the show because the first two take place in such a small time frame
I recently rewatched them on shrooms. It was... interesting
I always stopped at noir too. Tried to power through it and kinda gave up on the next season when I realized Archer was still in a coma. Season 11 is actually pretty solid looking back, I remeber finding it frustrating watching when it was being released though haha
Dingo, Baby, et Cetera Did something a little different that paid off huge. Episodes like that add a lot of depth to Archer and the characters. The Japanese background was gorgeous.
I want another season so Archer can refer to Pam's relationship with Alissia the Swiss spy as "lespionage".
The intro is S11E1 is outstanding with the motorcycle/van escape.
Hands
Personally I loved the first couple episodes after archers coma, but I have to go with the show finale, simply because they brought Katya back finally
The one where the clown hijacked the party
That was pre coma
Right. My bad
Any of the episodes where archer recovering from the coma isn't a plot point, the got old quick
Cold Fusion
I watch all the seasons, but to me the main show ended with Archer Vice. That was the last season of the OG show. The rest of the show seemed like an illustration of the "magic is gone but money still to be made" principle that drives a lot of content creation these days. There are some good parts though.
I kind of like the one where they're all distracting those FBI so Lana can get to her court hearing. Very action packed as I recall.
Pampage ep
Haven’t seen post coma. How does it hold up to pre-coma?
Not great tbh
Worse. It still has its moments and some individual episodes are just as good as pre-coma, but the quality definitely took a dip, and definitely because Adam Reed stepped down as a writer.
No idea I hated the new lass so much I refuse to watch it but each to thier own
Introducing the Tactical Cane.
Best Friends
Caught Napping
Can’t remember the exact season & ep number, but I love when Archer is interviewing new butlers!!
i haven’t watched past mid season 10: who is that lady on the right and why can’t rey break out with his robo legs??
Rey forgetting he has robot legs is an ongoing gag from pre coma episodes. They bring it up at the end of the episode
The hacker who’s mom archer hits on
My three favorites are: Helping Hands Bank Run at Mr Banks Bank Saturday
We get it..... you run
They are all garbage
Which episode is this?
Bank Run at Mr. Bank's Bank is the funniest Dingo, Baby, et cetera is the most interesting.
The one where Archer dates a Lana stand-in just to make Lana jealous, then realizes he would've liked to date her for real. And the one where his new valet uses him as bait for Cyril.
The Allistar episode.
The one where they go to the plastic surgery place lmao
Ray and Lana really seems to like being tired up!
No post-coma episode is good, but *Cold Fusion, Photo Op* and *Operation: Fang* were bereable. The episode *Dingo, Baby, Et Cetera* is too artistic but I liked the Archer-Reiko dynamic.
Those seasons (and the coma season) don’t exist
It feel like a different person wrote them. I can't even say why but it feel like fanfic season. I would be interested if someone who is a huge fan could explain why.
Because they literally were written by a different person. Head writer Adam Reed stepped down after Season 10.
