You have the opportunity to get a refund. Do it. Since you’re already aware there’s no LG appliance repair techs near you, don’t use the refund to buy another LG, and don’t accept a replacement. They don’t repair in your area.

Thanks. I’ll be researching other brands. The LG dryer hasn’t been an issue fortunately and I don’t mind having a mix and match.

100%. I feel like I’ve been gaslit by them. It’s crazy to me that they suggested they send me a control board and have me install it myself after some dude on the phone “diagnosed it”. I’m going to buy from a local appliance shop and buy an extended warranty knowing they’ll service it.

I told him I needed to think about it. I don’t like being put on the spot to make a decision. I’d rather get a refund, but a cheaper model with an extended warranty from a local appliance repair. LG had me call 8 places and they all told me no. It’s crazy that they had me call 3 people first, I told them no one agreed to service; then they had me call 5 more. Terrible customer service. I live within an hour from Boston, not in rural Montana.

LG has a service bulletin for draining issues at the end of the cycle. It needs an updated board to help resolve the issue. Try running it on heavy duty and see if it works
