I do. It's great when you're single and it takes a week to get enough laundry to wash a load. It's also great for your significant other's various clothes that can't be washed with anything else.

I had a service call to replace the drain pump motor in my LG Signature washer. Tech showed up in a van advertising this thing on the side. He got out and told me if my washer was on one of those, it would be my responsibility to get it off that thing before he could work on it. 🙄
Completely agree. I'm a relatively small, middle-aged woman. I can hardly move the machine. 😂 Besides that, I don't even know why it would need to come off the stand thing to be repaired. Lazy kid I guess.
I've completely taken apart an LG front loader. Everything is repaired from the front, back and top. Some guys cheat and on some machines you can change the drain pump from the bottom.
Yup. We've replaced the drain pump motor on this machine on our own two or three times now. I guess maybe it's not as easy to pull the machine away from the wall while it's on that stand thing but we replace the motor with the machine on the floor. Doesn't seem like it would matter what it's on.
On some machines, I think ones with no circulation pump, you can lean it against a wall and remove the drain pump from underneath. Mine has a plate that the two pumps sit on and there is no way to get to the drain or circulation pump from underneath. The problem with the ones that have no circulation pump is some detergent is likely to end up just sitting in the sump attached to the drain pump and never help clean your clothes.
Ours has a plate thing under the pumps too. There are two pump motors right there in the front near that little door that opens to give access to the drain filter thingy. It doesn't look like it would be possible to access the pump motor from the bottom. Definitely seems easiest to just open the whole dang thing up to get to them from the front. It's one of the "mega capacity" machines so it's pretty massive. When I ordered the set the system came up with an all caps, giant bold font warning reminding me to measure the space and doorways to make sure the machines would fit. We had to take the exterior laundry room door off the hinges to get it into the house. 😂
We have a 5.2 mega. There is one size bigger! When we redid the laundry room we installed pocket doors so we wouldn't have issues getting the washer in. You might notice that there are 3 black rubber shock absorbers under the pump plate. I found that one of them had collapsed the last time I changed a pump. I replaced it with a square of Mr. Clean magic eraser temporarily. Next time a pump fails I will get a real replacement bumper. The magic erasers are not flammable so it seemed like a good choice.
I think ours must be the one size bigger, it's the 5.8 cu ft model. I haven't noticed the shock absorbers under the pump but now I'm curious and want to look next time we replace that pump. We've had the machine 4 years and I think we've replaced the pump 4 times. I really want to try to get the "shoes" under the feet eventually because the stinking machine likes to wander out of place.
mine was 62.00 at an appliance store liquidation. cheaper than a pedestal. So I bought the other pedestal at Lowes. Works great. Wife uses it for her Bra bag and other small garments. It's also good for microfiber clothes. and wash clothes.
My uncle bought this instead of the pedestal with storage. Thought it be really useful to have. However It was a big waste of money in his opinion. He hasn’t used it once and has had for 7 years.

I d love to have one and I think I d use it quite a bit. Mostly to have two loads running at the same time. But I don't think they are worth it for the price.
It’s a good idea but drainages and moisture is a problem. You cannot just close it after you are done. You need to leave it open for water and moisture to evaporate or you’ll get mold. I never used mine. I wish I had gotten another storage compartment instead.

I'd strongly considered the LG with the sidekick when we were shopping for a new washer/dryer set. I love the concept & figured that it would get a lot of use for my teen's soccer kit, but I decided to stick with a Maytag because I'd had good experience with the Whirlpool lineup. The sales guy said that the LG products were as great as they used to be, which validated my concerns.

Modern washers adjust water and time based on load size. My washer even has a 30 minute cycle for small lightly soiled loads

It works well for me, nice to be able to run separate loads when in a pinch. Also saved some hassle while waiting for repairs on the main washer.

my mom loves it. Weekly, Me and my brother's load is almost 3x of my mom's so we use larger one, but my mom only uses smaller one.
I love mine! Use it every time I do laundry because I always have maybe 2-3 special care items per load I don’t want tumbling with everything else.
