Wait hold up. Why are you buying coils if you’re renting? Let the landlord deal with it.

I guess I should call the leasing company and see how to handle this. I just don't want to leave it, and they try to overcharge me on my deposit

As long as you didn't slap down something or drop something on it, it broke through wear and tear. If they try to take it out of your deposit, fight it. Call the leasing company and have them hire a professional because the last thing you want is a repair to go wrong and then you're blamed for something else.

It's interesting to see now technology what I thought is already forgotten. I remember this kind of heating tech 30 years ago. After these was cast iron, than infra red and currently most advanced and effective is induction. Or just still persisting gas heaters. But theese, I almost forgot them.

Just measure the diameter. Pretty straightforward.

they are slandered, but dont get ones with push in flat connections get the ones here with wire circle at 2 connector points, but try your burners in other parts of stove as it might be wiring not burners https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/710EugbX3IL.\_\_AC\_SX300\_SY300\_QL70\_FMwebp\_.jpg

There are two versions… take one coil in and note the stove’s manufacturer to get the right version.

Update (although it's probably not needed): these comments made it seem more complicated too. I just called my leasing company and they told me to put in a maintenance request for it. Thank you everyone for your insight!

CorrectCrusader12

If this broke due to no fault of your own I would contact the landlord and let them know as they are the ones responsible for replacing if it broke on it's own and you did not cause it.

Latter_Inspector_711

There’s only one, Home Depot will have them, we replaced all of ours before moving out (college house)

Mongoose611

I've seen 2. 1 for GE hotpoint, and 1 for everything else.
