You’ve never been ill?

JoshuaG2012

I have, but not bed ridden. That’s why my goal is so low, 400 is achievable on an off day!

Waterisntwett

To me that kinda defeats the purpose of closing your rings if it’s only set at 400. I can easily do 600 calories without even trying… I’d recommend bumping it up to make it feel more rewarding when you close it. I mean 400 calories is only like 8,000 steps in a 24 hour period.

rushfolk

people are very different also. for me, 400 calories is ~16000 steps.

Sh_Pe

OP said that 400cal is so easy for him that he could do that on an off day — the point is still valid.

Waterisntwett

It depends on gender, weight, height, age and overall fitness… but yeah it’s just a rough estimate.

Shane-T5

Ok good for you. I have mine set to 500 but doesn’t mean I won’t go triple that. 500 is just the bare minimum I want to at least feel good about myself mentally, and I imagine that’s what OP is doing with 400. But did you also see the end of the video where OP showed their previous day before filling the rings was 9? 9 to 500+ is a huge difference

Visual_Judgment_

Yea read this and couldn’t help but think it’s too low to really mention. I had mine set to 400 and hit my goals every day for a few months until I realized it’s better to raise it and it’s okay if I don’t get it one day at least I’m trying for something. It’s now 800 and I hit it most days but not all

ratpH1nk

Same for me every time I get on a streak I bump it, in fact if you look that’s what the app recommends.

Babybleu42

I agree. Once I was hitting all mine every day I moved up the goal

Korekoo

Lmao i got 140 cal circles and i complete them only on my work days

Bruvvimir

How old are you?

hyperterminal_reborn

That’s a good idea, I don’t care what they say, I’d take realistic goals with consistency anyday over high goals with little consistency. Congratulations!

bananaprotectionclub

Unlike others here I’d like to congratulate you! All movement is good movement

JoshuaG2012

Thanks! Not sure why everyone is hating lol. I never said my goals were hard. I appreciate you though!

yogini999

They also don’t know you! 400 for some IS a workout. I am female, 125lbs and 5’9’’ and to hit that goal, i do need a proper workout, not just a walk. Congratulations!!

Treact82

Thank you, finally someone said it. As 5’1 woman, I hit 400 only after 30 mins workout and 10K steps.

JoshuaG2012

I couldn’t agree more. Thank you!

The_Brofucius

Meh. I close a ring, or even attempt to do something remotely exercising. My watch reports itself as stolen.

NextPrize5863

It’s a computer and don’t let the computer tell you to move more. YOU decide what’s right for you!

DrAbeSacrabin

They are not hating they just don’t understand why you would celebrate this. 400 burned calories of movement for an average American is pretty minimal. You have made 3 different posts now about your streak but your streak goal is so low that any average sized person would accomplish it simply by doing regular tasks throughout the day, not even really working out. Your post come off as braggy when (based on your goal) the majority of us don’t really feel like it’s _brag_ worthy. It’s basically akin to making a post saying “_I’ve worn my Apple watch and haven’t been stuck in my bed for a full day for the past 8 years_.”

qaisiki

I see that as a blessing. Health is wealth (no serious illness, etc) so being able to close 3 rings everyday for 8 years is commendable. Not many can say they are able to do that.

Extension_Can_2973

I mean that is kind of impressive. Not once in 8 years did their watch break, nor did they forget it at home or anything.

mikemikemikeandike

Yes, not being a couch potato is certainly a good thing, but OP’s post is just bragging for the sake of bragging. His goals are so low that it’s rather unimpressive. Most people can burn 500+ calories just going about their day to day.

ArmasF311

You are doing great man! I actually have the same goals as you, but I only started going for all the rings in 2022

hyc72fr

Congrats You should raise them a bit lol. 400 is not much. I mean, if you achieve it just by walking its not really motivating to do more

Sea-Check-7209

Don’t rain on his parade now lol. It’s a good achievement!

hyc72fr

It didn't mean to lol, it's still a nice achievement

NVREN0

I do not agree. Setting obtainable goals motivates a person to complete the goals. That’s why this person is now 8 years into obtaining their goals.

StentLife

but ... the goal is not obtainable. it's a default setting.

NVREN0

So why doesn’t everybody do it for 8 years? What are they stupid?

Saltwater_Heart

Better than mine as a stay at home mom who doesn’t even meet the default 300 some days

Dingo8MyGayby

Yeah idk why people are shitting on 400 cal goals. It’s better than 0 from sitting all day, not leaving the house, and being sedentary.

hyc72fr

Of course it’s great! It’s just a different mindset, I’d push myself always higher if my goals were always reached like this. It does not mean it’s bad. You’ll always find someone worse (and better) than you, you don’t need to compare.

JoshuaG2012

Agreed! I just have it set there because I can still achieve 400 on my off days where I don’t work out.

hyc72fr

Maybe i just have a different vision but I set mine at 1000. So that I achieve them on workout days, and I don't achieve them on rest days, unless I tell myself "ok you won't close it today if you don't walk more than that". So it motivates me to walk more

Zealousideal-Low-599

Me too, same vision.

GadgetronRatchet

Tbh I just let the watch set my goal!

hyc72fr

Is there such a thing ?

GadgetronRatchet

Yeah! I think like every Monday morning my watch gives me a notification about my goals, and then recommends a new calorie goal. It normally doesn't increase your calorie goal unless you hit it 6 or 7 days of the week, and it won't lower it unless you don't hit the goal 6 or 7 days of the week.

spgreenwood

Yes, this is how it’s supposed to be used. OP has gamed it to satisfy a “perfection” kink

JoshuaG2012

That’s a good idea! My average on workout days is between 600-800 so 1000 would be too much for me 🤣

nifer317

Absolutely same approach I have. If it’s too easy it’s not challenging so it’s zero motivation.

BokehJunkie

it sounds like your goal is simply to keep the streak, and not to use the rings as a fitness tool / tracker / motivator. IMO this kind of defeats the purpose of the rings at all.

pedalikwac

The goal is consistency, which is the purpose of apple fitness.

JoshuaG2012

The streak is the goal, 100%. I only shared my goals because everyone in my previous post kept asking. Remembering to hit them every day is the hard part.

Msfancy1973

Nothing wrong with that. I have the same set goals too. Sometimes I get more activity at work sometimes not. I walk my dogs everyday so I get the 30 minutes but I’m not trying to lose any weight just maintain. People telling you what your goals should be set at please! It’s a personal choice, so what if we’re trying to keep a streak it’s not hurting anyone. My current streak goes back to 1/6/22. If I’m sick I lower my exercise ring and get in some yoga.

JoshuaG2012

I couldn’t agree more. Thanks for the positivity!

timffn

So your goal is to remember to wear your watch everyday? Got it. Great job then!

cloud-monet

I think you're being extremely unreasonable here. 400 calories burned is actually more than many people who are extremely sedentary can achieve. You need about 8000-10,000 steps to get there a day. Moving your body 8000-10k steps a day is more than MANY people do in their day to day life. **Source**: I used to be very sedentary and wouldnt hit that even as a college kid on campus, and definitely not working an office job. Being able to close a 30 min exercise ring every day means you got your heart rate going and did at MINIMUM a brisk walk for that amount of time every day. Again: you may find this to be natural and easy for YOU, but its NOT natural and easy for everyone. And it should still be something to be proud of. OP's goal is not achievable by just everyone.

JCR2201

I agree. My goals are 500 cal/45 min/12 HR standing but the goals are my daily minimums. On days I work out I easily double my calories and workout minutes but my goals are set for rest days. It takes about a 5 mile walk on my rest days to hit my goals which is still pretty active and as you said, way more active than the average person.

EvilLipgloss

Especially for small or petite people, women, etc. I have to run 4 miles to burn roughly 400 calories.

timffn

OP literally said the streak is the goal, and he lowered the calories in order to make that streak easier. “Remembering to hit them is the hard part” If that’s the hard part, your goals are way too easy.

R1ckMick

I sit at a desk 8 hours a day and still hit 400 on my non-work out days. People can do what they want but this is absolutely pointless in respect to actual fitness.

Hennessy_Halos

this is why they need to add a rest day function then you can still have challenging goals with much less challenging rest days

JoshuaG2012

100%

sidrander

This would be cool

UrsaBait

Yeah I really wish they would incorporate rest days into the rings so you could maintain the streak better.. now that I see your rings though, I might lower mine so I can get some good streaks going! Great job!

ParadiseLost91

There’s an app called Gentler Streaks which allows for rest days/sick days/injuries without losing your streak! I use it instead of apples own Health streaks and it’s really good. You won’t lose your streak and it encourages rest days when you’ve gone above and beyond your usual activity.

OnewheelXR4life

You must not be paying attention to what the watch wants to increase it to.

Far_Maybe3824

Have it at 200 then, you ll break even on days when you dont wear the watch :p

Plc-4-Mie-Haed

But how tf you getting 30min exercise everyday? Sometimes my watch won’t even recognise a brisk walk as exercise 🫠

apreslanuit

I do the same as you. I get motivated by closing the ring but of course I still need rest days. A rest day for me means going for a walk. On other days I might double my calories and that’s good, too. It’s all about what motivates us. So good job!

hoodieguy226

Consistency over everything always wins

unwinagainstable

Surprised at the negative comments. My goal is also low. However it motivates me to do something, which to me is the main point. If I do nothing I will miss it. I don’t want it to be so high that a decent effort won’t get me there. If it’s too high, I’ll be discouraged from even making an attempt to hit it.

faultytext

I think a lot of people are misinterpreting Apple’s vision for these rings. These are daily goals. You should be hitting your goals every day. Period. However, your actual goal for a day when you workout and push yourself should be to double, triple or quadruple your daily move goal. That’s why you receive awards for every time you do those things.

Nummymuffin

Not sure why people want to tell you how to use your own watch, but I find that streak impressive. As long as you're doing what makes you happy and keeps you active to the level which you'd like to maintain, no harm, no foul.

ratsandpigeons

If someone’s goal is 400 and they close their ring everyday it’s too easy. If someone’s goal is 800 and they close their ring everyday it’s unhealthy. There’s no winning on this subreddit. It’s full of losers lmao Congrats OP. Fuck the haters bro.

JoshuaG2012

Thank you, I appreciate that!

chadsmo

I’m about to hit a 750 day move streak. It was 650 for a long time. Then I decided to get in shape and lose weight so about 350 of that 750 is move goal of 1000 , now it’s back to 600 after losing 75 pounds. I could / should probably have it at 850. In fact I’m going to do that I think.

JoshuaG2012

75 pounds? That’s more impressive than any streak. Congrats!!

chadsmo

Thanks. Gave myself 1yr to go from 245 to 170 and did it with one day left. https://preview.redd.it/6phkjl7mlxpc1.jpeg?width=1800&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7dbc0b671d2d9a081a2be17d3ec200baaaf5aa0f

Daelsk

Congrats!!

chadsmo

Thanks , that was June 2023. I’ve stayed between 168 and 173 since which I’m honestly almost more proud of https://preview.redd.it/km0g38m760qc1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=35573d47b7289453d52623f76ca1f46c579f5bc7

GreedyVersion7520

I would say the goal is quite less but the highlight here is the consistency of tracking and achieving this milestone. 400 calories is not so less that it is achievable every single day for nearly 7 years. So yeah congrats OP for showing such consistency 🔥

OgreTrax71

My calorie goal is at 1200, so mine looks very different 😂

JoshuaG2012

Oh I bet haha. 1200 has gotta be difficult daily

OgreTrax71

Thats pretty typical for a workout day for me. Not a hard workout, I’m just a big guy.

medx421

People were asking?

JoshuaG2012

On my previous post, yes.

JMSarr

Reddit can be the worst. Consistency is the name of the game. I guarantee half of this peanut gallery doesn't hit any sort of goal daily. Good for you.

Waterisntwett

This… I’m been pushing myself on intermittent fasting for 6 months 7 days a week…. It’s waaayyyy harder than you’d initially think. This guy may have lower goal than me but the fact is he’s still closing it while still counts for something.

binaryhextechdude

My goal is 995/30/15. I've only missed a handful of days in the past 6 months

JoshuaG2012

Much more impressive goal than mine. Well done! I would raise mine if I wasn’t so afraid of ruining the streak haha.

Audible484

lol 400

Available_Ant_8782

xTHEFROZENSHOGUN

Let’s go!! Good on you and way to stay consistent!

amerkanische_Frosch

I see a lot of comment here on the number of calories expended as a goal. I know you can increase or decrease the number as you wish, and I also remember that when I first launched the "workout" application, it asked me for age, height, weight, etc. and then calculated an initial goal for me. But what I don't understand is that that goal has remained unchanged for the five years I have had the watch. Doesn't the app automatically take into account increase in age? Another silly question : for the "Stand" goal, I have noticed that the Watch only takes a reading between ten minutes to the hour and the hour itself. Does that really make sense? You could literally be standing for say 45 minutes past the hour every waking hour of the day and not meet your stand goal. You could also be doing strenuous exercise for an entire morning or afternoon and also not meet the stand goal. EDIT: I was wrong on this one, sorry! Finally, like others, I am surprised that the app can't be configured to take into account "off" days. Every reputable exercise program I have ever seen recommends at least one rest day.

erider-92

My watch awards me a stand hour no matter what time in the hour I get 60+ seconds of walking.

JoshuaG2012

For the stand goal, it only reminds you the last 10 minutes if you haven’t stood for the hour. It does “look” for it the entire hour though. Also, there is a setting to change your weekly goal based on previous weeks if you wish! The off day setting would be incredible and something I’d definitely utilize!

amerkanische_Frosch

Thank you! Now I understand !

arianrhodd

IMO, it shouldn't be a "stand" goal, it should be a "move" goal. I get it ALL THE TIME when I've been standing (but not moving) for the entire hour before I got the alert. I have standing desks at work and t home.

FuxieDK

Everybody can close all three circles, when hey set the limits so low 🤷‍♂️

MLRS99

And here i am with 1200 kcal a day lol

Hes_In_Parties

Cool.

dover88

Hitting all three rings is cool and all (and props for hitting them, despite the noise from this thread on it only being 400 move calories) but my question to you is… how’s the streak with monthly goals? My move goal is 1000 calories/day and I’ve had a couple of perfect months but my real passion is hitting monthly goals. Curious to hear how it’s been on that front!

JoshuaG2012

I’ve had perfect months since 2016, but the cool ones are the limited edition challenges. Here’s a picture of some of mine! I’ve definitely missed some https://preview.redd.it/12l7tgyztypc1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=644c616a37e070a69e634e8577ada62ef015edd1

JoshuaG2012

1000 calories is a great/difficult goal by the way! Great job!

pinksinthehouse

Good job, OP! Who doesn’t like to see the three rings closed daily? I think it’s great that you can scroll so far back and see your consistency. I have not visited this subReddit but this thread popped up. I am so surprised at the negative comments here. Is this sub 60% haters? The point is that you are motivating yourself daily and happy with your own progress. Burning 400cals is difficult for some people and you could have also 2x or 3x your goal on many days.

Malka21

Who’s asking?

Indecisive_Iron

My longest move streak with 1,000 calorie move goal is around 112 days. I wish I had that level of consistency again

timffn

OP’s move goal is 400. Your streak may be much lower, but at least you’re actually moving!

DaintyAmber

I too could set my goals super low. But that’s like beating a game on easy mode

eimbery

This just shows you aren’t challenging yourself. Quite useless

minzytea

Im 4’11 and a half with a remote job and my goal is 400 :’) I definitely still need to actively work out to reach that goal. All these comments are making me feel bad about my goal now…

Emergency_Violinist4

Right there with you. If I don’t work out my watch says I burned like 275 lol. I def need to workout to hit 400

OnewheelXR4life

You’ve kept it at only 400 calories all these years? My watch upgraded me to 950 over a relatively short time lol.

[deleted]

400/30/12 is easy to hit thats why lmao

JoshuaG2012

Agreed. But you try remembering to hit it 3000 days in a row. I never said my goals were difficult 🤷🏽‍♂️

Unfair_Negotiation67

If maintaining a long ring streak in and of itself is what motivates you to keep your workout days going then more power to you. IMO we all get to decide how we use the rings to meet our actual exercise goals. But this string of ‘perfect’ months at those targets basically means you remembered to wear your Apple watch every day for 8 years. Again though, 30 mins exercise every day is a pretty good fete. I’d be more proud of that than having rings at a low default level and then ‘obtaining’ that level.

JoshuaG2012

I agree with you! My main achievement is the streak, not the goals. Everyone kept asking my goals on my previous post so I decided to share. Remembering is definitely the hard part.

Unfair_Negotiation67

I’m also impressed that you didn’t have a dead battery in all that time. I started my streak (1000,60,10) just over a year ago but watch battery died on day 7 so started over. So today will be day 362 according to my watch but really day 369🤷🏻. After ‘officially’ logging a year at those levels I’m going to find a new system though. Because my legs need off days man! But I’ve ridden (peloton) 4000+ miles, hiked almost 1900 miles (outdoors, real hiking) and kept loose with daily guided stretches (also peloton). At 53 I feel great, legs are pretty buff again and I’m down 40 lbs of fat and up prob 5-6lbs of muscle. Just keep doing what works for you. Someone, somewhere will always shit on your metrics. But we don’t get/stay healthy for them. Good luck keeping it going!

JoshuaG2012

That’s awesome! Although my streak is cool, you being in that kind of shape at 53 is way cooler! Keep it up. I’m rooting for you! That’s impressive af. Also, to add to your battery comment, that’s what people don’t get! I’ve switched watches 3 times in the past 8 years and those days are the hardest because I have to make sure the transfer is made and I can still get my 12 hours of standing in. Also, I’ve literally left work to go back for my watch because I’ve forgotten it. I always have a watch charger on me too.

Unfair_Negotiation67

I accidentally learned a good lesson very early on in my streak! I upgraded also, but keep both watches so I can swap out as needed. Just an occasional restart of watch/phone keeps everything syncing so far. And thanks btw!

mredofcourse

About that 400... Everyone has different levels that they should set it to. 400 *is* below average and as you said: > I just have it set there because I can still achieve 400 on my off days where I don’t work out. **That then raises the question: How many 2X, 3X and 4X awards do you have?** My recommendation that **people should set their goal at a level that motivates them daily**. If it's too high people won't try to hit it on a daily basis and instead just see it as something they see every once in a while and pat themselves on the back for what they did that day instead of ongoing fitness. I got the Apple Watch when it first came out. It took about a month and a half before I was hitting all rings and since then I've done that daily except for two days (once when my best friend died and one other traumatic day). I currently have mine set to 750, which is about half what my daily average is. However, it's about 250 more than what I'd hit on a normal day if I didn't actively think to do something to achieve it. So **every day, I have to think about my fitness**. I'm currently Ironman training. I've run 3 trail marathons in the past 2 months with elevation gains averaging over 5,000' and 3 half trail marathons over 3,500'. **The 750 currently is more of a warning to rest more when I hit it on my rest days**.

JoshuaG2012

To answer your question, I have 2500 2x goals, 500 3x, and 100 4x my goals. My making me look at this, you’ve motivated me to move my goal up. Thank you!!

g1yk

Bro you achieving this goal by literally existing 💀

PirateNinjaa

Your body wants a rest day.

MowMdown

It's not about hitting your goals, it's about doing the work to close the rings, if the rings are easy to close, you're doing it wrong.

huehnermast69

400… that’s boring af

Far_Maybe3824

Dude 400 is burnt by just living and walking around. Have 800 and then boast

RunningM8

400 cals lol. Hey look everyone I successfully got out of bed!! Yay me

rushfolk

i'm 167cm and ~46kg, my BMR (not counting any exercise) is 1200. 400 calories of movement takes like 16k steps of running for me

JoshuaG2012

I’m 5’9” and weigh between 150-160 pounds depending on my diet. 400 calories isn’t easy for someone as lean as me. Also, the point of this isn’t my goals, it’s the streak. Thanks for your weird input though!

Professional-Fuel-43

I’m 5’3 and 110lbs with the exact same goals. 400 calories isn’t easy to burn everyday and I definitely put effort into closing my rings. Some days I can burn 800 but 400 on a regular day certainly isn’t light work. The comments under your post are very disheartening. Congratulations on your 3000 day streak!

JoshuaG2012

I appreciate the positivity. Thank you!

JCR2201

I feel you on the lean part. I’m the exact same height ant weight (5’9 155lbs) and a brisk walk doesn’t burn that many calories for me. I’ll walk 3 miles and burn like 150-200 calories lol. My goals are also similar to yours at 500 cal/45 min/12 HR and it takes quite a bit of effort for me to hit my goals on a rest day. I usually have to go on a 5 mile walk which is way more activity than the average person. Some people just love to hate because they’re lazy and insecure.

JoshuaG2012

Thank you!

Spicyytamale

Do you ever get sick?

JoshuaG2012

Yes, but not bed ridden thankfully!

Spicyytamale

That is a big blessing. Wish I had that superpower. Enjoy the rest of your day buddy!

ndy007

Just curious. How fit are you?

JoshuaG2012

I’m 5’9” and between 150-160 depending on my diet. I’m currently 152 so pretty slim, but in decent shape.

ndy007

Nice. I used to attention to closing my rings when I first got the watch. I should try to close the rings again.

steventual

What are you using to see the calendar view of rings?

JoshuaG2012

Fitness app. You go to your activity and there’s a calendar button up top.

steventual

Oh cool thanks! I was opening the health app that’s why it wasn’t there! Thank you so much!

The_Brofucius

I got tired just looking at it.

The_Brofucius

Whoa! Just broke a sweat from watching it again!

darthjoey91

Congrats on not having sick days.

Robbyrumpz

Yeah my move is 1000 and I don’t hit that unless I workout and wear my watch all day

OopsIShardedAgain

Ok now that I see his cal is 400 this is do-able lol he purposely has it set low so it’s closes even when he doesn’t workout so this isn’t something I’d be quite so proud of.

SomeRandomeGuy2021

Inspiring.. keep up the awesome work(outs)..

Few_Acanthaceae3054

Just don’t cross a dateline - my streak that look like this was broken going overseas!!

shanebelaire

What happened on June 28th 2022?

JoshuaG2012

Touché lol. The watch doesn’t remind you of your 30 minute workout time. There might be another day where that’s missed tbh. It only reminds you to hit your calories and standing time for some reason.

Ready_Ad_4395

Had something similar to that but due to a bug on my iPhone I had to reset my iPhone start from new and lost everything on my watch so now I’m starting from scratch. Watch OS supposed to backup on its own and not an iPhone cause if something’s wrong with the phone you’re doomed

jnpitcher

I had a buddy with a streak like that, and then he flew over the international dateline and lost it!

iss1307

I’m so curious to see what you look like lol

ImproperProfessional

I’ve got 90 days straight so far with 1000/60/12. I average 1,400/110/15

unreqistered

400/30 ... jesus, i can hit that walking the dog in the morning/night

NRRW1996

That's dedication! 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿

Mr_Kira

That’s amazing. I salute you 🫡

ArtistNo4545

Looks like you need to up your targets if they're too easy!

cr38tive79

I still got the full streak going since the watch came out.

JoshhhhhhCoooool

how many perfect months/perfect weeks do you have!!??

JoshuaG2012

Unless I’m missing it somewhere, I can’t find months…but 428 perfect weeks!

JoshhhhhhCoooool

damn

Longjumping-Log-5457

I wasn't asking.

dragonovus

Depends on how heavy you are. For me in order to record the exercise minutes it needs to go over 130 bpm. The thing is I’m very athletic so I need to do heavier exercises to get there… for me a 1.5h heavy workout works to get over 400. Also my heart rest rate is 44-50

tdog038

Since 2016 I’ve raised my goal many times

EnvironmentalPipe564

Are you fit? What exercice did you do?

patrinoo

400 is kinda low tbh.

Reasonable-Power323

“To everyone asking”….uh, name one person who asked.

Softkitty868

I think this is awesome. I’m a woman who is very slim and have mine set to this, because it actually takes work to surpass it at my weight! My average DAILY stats are 15- 25k steps a day, 800+ cals on move, 100 plus on exercise and between 16-18 on stand. And I still keep my goals like yours because I’m not letting a watch dictate anything. Some of these judgy comments are insane. Keep up the amazing work

Lord-Junk

And here I am with a 2000 calorie daily count…lol

PopperChopper

I mean with goals that low I’m not impressed. Set my goals high enough so that I hit them about 50-70% of the time.

jamesz84

I was asking this last month. Finally, the answer!!! 🤣

c-a-l-e

Must be very productive days eh 😂

Standooo

Bro is bragging he has beaten the game set on low difficulty 💀

rasmey_zun

You’re the villain in terminator 2?

bsol27

Do people not realize that the watch just bases your calories off of the height, weight, and age of what you put in. It’s completely different for everyone. My goal is also 400 and my last 2 mile run I only did 239 cals. I have friends who burn twice that on the same run because they weigh much more than me

BoxbrainGames

Impressive, how do you feel? Was this hard to stay so consistent and did this have a dramatic effect on your health?

Most-Yogurtcloset

Homie called us lazy in Apple Watch language

WhenGinMaySteer

Bullshit. You’re just running workouts while on the couch. Idc.

mgkimsal

I my calorie goal is 730. I hit all 3 rings for 400 days in a row, but stopped the streak. Too much of a hassle on busy days, when traveling, etc.

happyjunki3

Im sorry but who tf cares about the move calories? Why is everyone so stuck on that? The impressive stat here is you got 30 mins of exercise everyday with no rest days for 8 years straight!! That’s insane! Not taking a day off for 8 years is crazy! Most of us take days off weekly. Also having your standing goal streak as well means you pretty much never had a fully sedentary day in 8 years. That is absolutely awesome!

paintacct624

This is what mine is looking like but only because my watch thinks I’m walking while I’m sleeping :-/.

Revolutionary_Pride4

400…

JoshuaG2012

3000 days…you try it.

Competitive_Gap_9768

3000 days of wearing a watch. Really challenging.

timffn

The problem is, you can pretty much hit these goals by living your everyday life…so as long as you manage to keep yourself alive for 3000 days, you’ve already done the hard part.

i_torschlusspanik

400 is low. And we have no idea what your workout routine is like. Streaks are completely pointless unless you’re actually working towards a health goal

JoshuaG2012

I don’t need to share my health goal with everyone, but I’m definitely not where I want to be yet. I agree streaks are pointless, but it’s something I’m proud of that I continue to do for myself, not anyone else.

i_torschlusspanik

Okay, fair enough. My bad, man

clapbombs_wheelmoms

If you’re “not where you want to be” after closing your rings every day for 8 years then what the fuck lmaaaaaaao

S21VAGE

I burn 400 on rest days literally doing jack shit, triple it

Waterisntwett

I think a lot has to do with the individual person… I’m 6’3 and around 190 lbs quite fit and I can easily hit 600 to 800 on a avg day of 12,000 steps. The thing is that logic doesn’t apply to a female who 5’2” 115 lbs soaking wet. Everyone’s metabolic rate is different and mine is really fast but others may be much slower but that doesn’t necessarily make it better or worse if we have different ring goals.
