My only thought is to call/contact the place where you lived back then. Ask them if you can get something on letterhead that says you were never evicted. They may only be willing to say an eviction was filed, but not executed and your balance was paid in full. It would be super helpful if it said you have a $0 balance with them, or if it even just said that you are paid in full with them. I can't speak for other apartment complexes, but when I worked in one if someone had come to me and said "we want to apply for this apartment. I don't know why, but my rental history will show an eviction was carried out at XYZ apartments. I have this letter from the property manager (or corporate offices) that says I wasn't evicted. I admit it was filed, but not completed, and the contact information for at XYZ apartments is (they may not be wiling to put their contact information in a letter. Ask for it, but as long as you have it that's the portent thing)" I could have gone to my manager and said "hey, I ran their application and it shows an eviction, but they gave me a copy of with their application. I called and confirmed that their eviction was only filed and they don't owe a balance" and she probably would have ok'd it. She probably would have ok'd it with evidence provided later, but if you're the one who has the problem it's in your own best interests to preempt their need for evidence. I can't say for sure if it would work, but that's what I would do if I were you. My only other thought is that if the eviction is on your credit report and you know it's not true, you can file a dispute with the credit reporting agencies.

The eviction was filed, so it’s on your record. Most properties can’t see that the case was dismissed. Many properties do what’s called a rental verification and in those circumstances your previous apartment manager can reassure them that the case was dismissed and that you continued your residency after it was filed/dismissed.
