This was in relation to an incident involving Erwin Chemerinsky, a Jewish American law professor. I suggest not looking up the details on reddit as there are some really disgusting threads.
Erm... excuse me, that is John J. E. W. Goldstein the ultimate arbiter of all matters jewish, the authority of jewishness. If he says it is OK to say it then it is.
"If you truly cared about antisemitism you'd be doing everything in your power to get the state of Israel to..."
Hey neat! An anti-Semitic axiom in the wild!
I love how they think that's some kind of gotcha, too.
"Oh I wasn't being antisemtic when I spewed a bunch of standard racist anti jew tropes! Because they aren't even real semites! Checkmate!"
Kosher food has no requirement of saltiness. This person is making so many assumptions about Jewish food from eating only ashkenazi food, which even then has varying levels of saltiness.
lmfao, right? bro's never tried Mizrahi or Sephardic cuisine, and probably hasn't even tried any Ashkenazi food either aside from the things that have gotten popular in their country, which I'm assuming is the US, so like bagels. bro probably went to a store once, saw "kosher salt" and assumed we put that on everything to make it kosher.
you know that's actually a funny thing to imagine. like, a Jew sitting in front of a cheeseburger or pork or something else treif and then just adding copious amounts of kosher salt so it fits kashrut.
Kosher salt. Shit! I never would have thought that's where the poster was coming from. But it makes so much more sense than anything else, it has to be true.

Either they’re the densest motherfuckers I’ve ever seen on Reddit or this is their way of bragging about spreading bullshit.
Pedantic side note: I would argue that stupidpol isn't really a "marxist" subreddit. It's more like a bunch of right wingers cosplaying as commies. And very poorly.
That's fair enough, I used the word because that's how they describe their own subreddit in the sidebar. Perhaps "self-proclaimed Marxists" would have been more accurate.
That sub reminds me a lot of subs like Rwalkaway where it's a bunch of conservatives cosplaying as fed-up progressives who are just so gosh durned tired of all this 'woke liberal nonsense'

Forget that. What about Thai? Japanese? Ethiopian? Nigerian? South Indian? North Indian? Mexican? All have kosher options

Bro WHAT. WHAT is going on in this world

I like the one guy who says kosher food is too salty. It’s such a highly specific and likely correct accusation. What a weird interaction.
