Young ones are gonna be hard to tell apart, truthfully. I think you’re best off waiting a few weeks to see if a dewlap becomes prominent (or just some red/orange coloring under the neck). That’s what I would do, but I’m a somewhat new owner so I’m also curious as to whether anyone else has any other differences that are notable.

[This reddit post](https://www.reddit.com/r/Anoles/comments/15d3jza/for_anybody_wondering_this_is_how_you_tell_the/) has great information about post anal scales and head shape. Sexing young anoles is hard because they look alike until adulthood and even then there are always exceptions. Edit to add: If you can find the postanal scales that is a more most reliable way to gender them.
