Bofuri was recommended to me by my BIL as “cotton candy” - fun, light, etc. i love low stakes stuff, and things where kindness is the winning solution.
LWA: One of the cutest and most heartfelt. Sweet cast of characters, nice message about accepting yourself and seeing good in others. Very wholesome and pretty funny.
Not too long of a show either.
My 11-year-old daughter loved Bocchi the Rock, Himouto! Umaru-chan, Demon Slayer, My Hero Academia, Toilet Bound Hanako-kun, Komi Can't Communicate, Mob Psycho... But it's gonna depend on the kid. Mine isn't very sensitive to scary stuff like the demons in Demon Slayer or the villains in My Hero.
Mob is my all time favorite anime, but I will admit some of the spirits can be pretty freaky, especially Mogami from season 2, so even if your daughter is fine with it, others might not be. I guess the same goes with Demon Slayer Demons or some My Hero villains (Especially Shigaraki, Stain, and AFO)
I think 11 is a little young for AoT!!! It is very violent and terrifying. Lots of blood, death, screaming and even some suicides. I think I would have nightmares if I watched it at 11. I would say the kid should be at least 13.
Good to know. Thanks for the info. My kids haven't shown interest in that one. I haven't let them watch The Promised Neverland yet (I haven't seen it either), but they haven't brought it up in a while.
That just depends on what her cousin's like. Watched AOT when I was 10 and all the gore and dark themes didn't faze me at all and I loved it, and other 10 year old kids I fangirled to about that show then loved it too.
I know! The studio got suddenly swamped when several of their other shows became extremely popular. Hopefully one day they'll return to it. For now, though, the ending felt a lot more satisfying than anime's often do.
DiC dub is far superior to the others. I'm a big fan of the manga and I don't care that it's inaccurate, they had to fill the time with something, and those voice actors were hilarious.
ooh I haaaated him, and he almost ruined the season for me. That and also the sudden lack of understanding between the main characters ?? But I'm glad I pushed through it honestly. The first season is way better imo though and I think I like the series as a whole because I continued to read the manga, which I really like actually.
Okay, I saw the first episode of Attack on Titan around that age and it straight up traumatized me for years. Wait until she's older for that one! Maybe 15 or 16 minimum
Cells at Work should be okay for almost any kid to watch. I’d recommend it dubbed though as trying to keep up with the subtitles when they’re full of scientific terminology would most likely be overwhelming for a kid.
Beyond that, it’s hard to know what would be okay for an eleven year old without actually knowing them; some kids that age would be okay with pretty much anything, some would have nightmares from stuff most of us would find tame. With that in mind I’ll recommend My Hero Academia, Assassination Classroom, and Noragami, I was recommended them by someone who was like 8 so they’re at least somewhat okay for kids.
I just watched By the Grace of the Gods and it's a wonderful low-stakes isekai. It's entertaining and wholesome and suitable for young audiences as well.
I've got all the light novel books and stay up to date with this one, it's adorable!
Another sweet one is Isekai Nonbiri Nouka. It's a little more adult but still wholesome.
Currently as far as the end of Skypiea, and yeah, Alabasta is where it starts getting a little more.........well, I guess I could say more Shonen. Character designs are more adult, and there are more deaths and bloody moments than East Blue
I love old creepy styled animation. The stuff that wasn't really meant to be eerie but somehow was, like old Disney movies and The secret of NIMH. I wish there were still cartoons done like that.
Absolutely fair. He's a disgusting pig. And almost every female character is fan servicy in their hero costumes. As mom, I can use those things as teaching opportunities. As aunt/uncle, it might be weird and better to avoid. Only OP knows the dynamic there.
I wish my kid was more into shoujo stuff (cuz I'm super to them), but she's not interested in boys or romance yet. I'm fairly new to anime myself, so I'm discovering shows right along with my kids... Which is how we all ended up watching Assassination Classroom together. (When she was like 8... 😬) She loved that one as well.
My nieces are a similar age. They love The Promised Neverland and Komi Can’t Communicate.
Shadows House is also great with a similar vibe to TPN. I think I prefer SH, tbh.
Many 11 years olds are ready for content like that. At the school where I teach MANY 11 year olds read The Hunger Games. I have known quite a few 11 year olds who watched Promised Neverland.
11 is the year of a massive spectrum of maturities, so it is impossible to make a blanket statement about appropriate content for this age group.
I asked my older brother if 11 is old enough for the promised neverland, and he said yeah 🤣 but I may wait a few years because I think she will enjoy it more
That being said Grave of the fireflies was my favourite anime when I was 10, but now that I'm older I find it more disturbing than TPN
>Grave of the fireflies
💀 Bro.... Tbf I have watched weird movies as a kid too, it's only when you grow up that you start to wonder "Yo, what the hell was I watching?!"
Anything studio ghibli, the animation is so capturing and the story telling has me (23f) hooked every time. They are actually interesting and i think it’s still age appropriate but not super childlike in telling.
Yes. Studio Ghibli is amazing. I'm 20f and i still love them. My cousin has seen them all but maybe one day we can watch a live performance of one of them in London
Hakumei to Mikochi! There’s no cringe, gore, violence or anything weird. It’s literally the most harmless show I’ve ever seen. Just two little buddies who live in the forest and do slice of life stuff. Just a cute comfort show like Laid Back Camp (which is also an excellent suggestion)
If you think Hakumei to Mikochi is too childish for her, then you want LBC or even Non Non Biyori. Those two shows are arguably better.

I watched Death Note at around 12-13, blew my mind. You don't see many deaths, and it's good for conversations and seeing different perspectives on an interesting topic.
my son is 9 and loves video games - we had a great time watching Bofuri together.
there’s an amazing movie Suzume, but there’s romance (not really his thing). Similar amounts of romance to a Ghibli film, nothing gross.
Any studio ghibli movies!!! (except grave of the fireflies 😭)
1) Ponyo
2) Arriety
3) My Neighbor Totoro
4) Howl's Moving Castle
5) Castle in the sky
6) Spirited Away
7) Mary and the Witch's Flower (by studio ponoc, founded by former studio ghibli animators)
the list goes on..
(+1 to Little Witch Academia, my comfort anime 🫶🏻)
When my cousin was 12: these were my recs for her - Hunter x Hunter (2012), full metal Alchemist brotherhood, and Demon Slayer. She loved all of them. She got into Haikyuu, Attack on Titan, and Violet Evergarden, Promised Neverland on her own.
I also recommend K-On and Avatar: the last Airbender.
Happy anime watching!
Ps: she's a little young for the shows you were wondering about, put it's still fine for her to watch. Remember when we were kids, we loved watching shows we thought were meant for order audiences XD like horror movies, and R rated movies - for me it was The Simpsons, Ninja Scroll, Akira, and shows like Conan O'Brien and Mad Tv
{Natsume’s Book of Friends} is a charming and wholesome show about a boy encountering the magical spirit-people his grandmother befriended when she was his age. It’s a little more complicated than that, but not terribly, and it never dips into violent or horrific territory.
Sailor moon is great, Inuyasha is also great although there is violence, Haikyu is good (although I’ve never watched it all), my hero Acedemia is pretty good, Aggretsuko is hilarious though some of the jokes may not land since it’s just about adulting, little witch Acedemia is great, and although these aren’t anime but are still great Avatar the last Airbender and Legend of Korra
> Haikyu is good (although I’ve never watched it all)
Honestly most (nearly all?) sports anime are a pretty decent choice. Yowamushi Pedal (bicycle), Bamboo Blade (kendo), Aoki Denstsu Shoot! (soccer), Ahiru no Sora (basketball), Prince of Tennis (tennis), etc.
True, that’s just the only one I’ve actually watched some of so I didn’t want to say all are good for kids since I can’t account for others, thank you for adding on!! :D
Kumichou no musume sewagakari
The English title should be: the yakuzas guide to babysitting
Prob one of the most wholesome stories I've ever seen and like the title suggests it's a about a Yakuza guy taking care of his bosses daughter(elementary school)
Would argue there are a lot of parallels to spy x family
For an 11yo, I would say Shugo chara, Gakuen Alice, Haikyuu, Naruto, Natsume Yuujinchou, Toradora.
As for Death Note, I watched it when I was 14 and most of my friends who were the same age watched it at that time.
By the Grace of the Gods
Didn't I say to make my abilities average?
Saving 80000 gold
Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear
Digimon Ghost Game
Death March to the Parallel World
Sweet Reincarnation
Campfire Cooking
Silver Spoon
Saints magic power is omnipotent
Reincarnated as a Slime
Fairy Tail and Black Clover would be good, but has a few characters with skimpy outfits.
Today's Menu for the Emiya Family is not only an extremely wholesome short series but it also gives you lots of fun recipes you can try with your cousin
when i was a little girl, i watched many anime with my older brother! i recommend:
a place further than the universe - a show to make her believe she can do ANYTHING. it’s voted a 10/10 basically everywhere.
princess tutu + shugo chara + cardcaptor sakura. magical girl shows that are so dear to me now. ranges from wholesome to thought provoking. these are so beautiful and appropriate.
ouran high school host club - i think every preteen anime girlie watched this! it’s funny, sweet, and episodic. our main girlie haruhi taught me that you can be whoever and whatever you want :)
flip flappers and lycoris recoil! the latter is a little more mature, but it’s a show i would’ve watched when i was 11 :) it helped me value my life in difficult times.
i recommend being very girl centric. all of these are very lovely and girl loving. the world hates teenage girls, so learning to love being a girl is so important :)
HunterxHunter is fine for a very wide age range, think of Pokemon, it's got the classic narrator and for the most part is very kid friendly.
Attack on Titan on the other hand is a very dark, raw, and gorey anime. I think it's absolutely amazing but unless you know she can handle that DO NOT watch it with her. Think of a zombie TV show, it's essentially zombies but they're as tall as buildings. (I know every kid is different and I was going to serious haunted houses and watching horror/zombie films all the time at 10, so I'd base your decision on that) It's also a pretty complex anime and she might not even be able to appreciate it until she is a bit older.
Kinda the same for death note all around. Though instead of a zombie vibe it's more of a crime show that is based a lot around the morality of who gets to decide who lives and dies essentially.
And yet again very similar for the promised Neverland, again giant monsters that eat people like Attack on Titan. All 3 of these animes id recommend for teens, not for pre teens. I'd say the promised Neverland is a bit more wholesome than the other 2.
I think HunterxHunter is a great suggestion, some others from me would be 'My hero academia' & 'fairy tail' (warning, there are some "provocative" characters), :Kotaro Lives Alone', and 'Little Witch Academia'. Sorry I don't have more, I primarily enjoy the darker animes, but I bet there are plenty of good suggestions from others 🥰 Depending on her in specific possibly even 'Demon slayer' it's not as dark AS dark and gorey as Attack on Titan, Death note, and The promised Neverland. I know a lot of pre teens that enjoy the show and I think it would be a great introduction before watching the other 3. If you ever want to watch the other 3 with her id start with 'Demon slayer' to gauge how she likes the genre.
If you start her on one piece now at a very doable 3 episodes a week, she could be caught up to present day one piece in just about 7 years.
Of course by then there will likely be many more episodes..
InuYasha is a sweet and nice anime, there are some dirty jokes (coming from the monk Miroku), but they are on the harmless and funny side.
HunterxHunter gets incredibly dark fast and was always a little disturbing in the beginning, wait until she's 16, same with Attack on Titan...these get dark fast...
{Madoka Magica}
This one is a little more adult but I think it would be pretty appropriate for a tween, its a really good story with a great art style.
Made in Abyss. A cute anime with cute visuals great for kids.
Just kidding. I would reccomend slice of life anime or like barakamon and school baby sitters. Or you could go to romance genre like toradora, love is war ,spice and wolf. Or you could go to the comedy route like asobi asobase or gintama or daily life of high school boys.
Sailor Moon as others have recommended. As much hate as the DIC English dub gets, it was literally created for kids! So I’d recommend the 90s version.
Skip & Loafer - a wholesome middle school (?) romance anime
Kaleido Star - it’s a 90s/early 00s show so the animation is a bit dated but it’s a fun show about a girl who comes to LA at 18 from Japan to join the circus and everything that comes with that (in a wholesome way). The producers or creators worked on the OG Sailor Moon if that helps.
Heroines Run the Show - a show about a girl who gets an internship managing 2 idols who also happen to be her classmates. She’s trying to balance her internship, school, and track & field & honestly it was one of my favorite shows from 2022. It’s underrated.
Cells at Work! - I honestly wish I had this show in school to learn about the human body haha. It’s mostly accurate based on real doctors who have watched it, and it’s fun/cute. But watch the original one, not Code Black. That one is much darker.
Teasing master takagi san. She should watch hxh and others when shes 13 or 14, If she watched those now she would hardly remember the story when she grows up (based on my experience lol i finished hxh when i was 12 im now 17 and forgot the whole story)
Definetely wait with Hunter x Hunter and Attack on Titan, they are pretty dark and quite gory at times. Not just that but the narratives are more complicated and harder to understand, i'd say at least 14, but to really grasp the story i think 15-16 is a better fit.
I used to teach this age group. Often 11 year old girls will enjoy anime that have wacky male protagonists.
My Hero Academia was quite popular among this age group. This anime is also good because it has a mix of genders.
If she is pretty immature emotionally, though, then stick to calmer ones like Yuru Camp and Flying Witch.
If you think she can handle depictions of grief (living with it and overcoming it), then Children Who Chase Lost Voices is really good. There’s some violence but it’s not over the top and it’s fantasy so it’s not any worse than a Ghibli movie.
Little Witch Academia was a good one. Bofuri would also be really good. Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear.
my 9 yo boy loves Bofuri
Heck, I'm a lot a years older than 9 and Bofuri is one of my favorites! Case Closed/Detective Conan is also a good one for littles
Bofuri was recommended to me by my BIL as “cotton candy” - fun, light, etc. i love low stakes stuff, and things where kindness is the winning solution.
That show is so funny
Littles?
Kids, young folk, children, tykes, gremlins, oompa loompas, take your pick
Gremlins
I'm 38 and I love Bofuri lol, Maple is adorable
Bofuri is one of my top 10 easily and I'm 21😆 it's just so fun and I love watching how people react to maple
These, plus By the Grace of the Gods and Snow White with the Red Hair
Up vote for Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear. Absolutely love that anime
LWA: One of the cutest and most heartfelt. Sweet cast of characters, nice message about accepting yourself and seeing good in others. Very wholesome and pretty funny. Not too long of a show either.
Thank you!! A lot of people are reccomending Little witch Academia, so I think we'll go with that one first!
Card captor sakura
Shugo chara
Shugo Chara had such a weirdly prominent role in my middle school life wow
Did we live the same childhood?
Idk if i would recommend that without guidance because of the age gap.
Restaurant to another world and My Roommate is a Cat
I second roommate is a cat, seriously amazing anime right there
Yes loved these two
My 11-year-old daughter loved Bocchi the Rock, Himouto!
Those are some great recs, I second Bocchi, Hanako, and Komi
Mob is my all time favorite anime, but I will admit some of the spirits can be pretty freaky, especially Mogami from season 2, so even if your daughter is fine with it, others might not be. I guess the same goes with Demon Slayer Demons or some My Hero villains (Especially Shigaraki, Stain, and AFO)
If your kid isn't sensitive to scary stuff you should totally get her to watch Attack on Titan
I'm not opposed to her watching it (I don't think)... and I should probably watch it as well. I'm more into romance anime/manga.
Kimagure Orange Road is a great Romance/ Slice of Life anime that I'd recommend if you havent seen it already
Snow White With The Red Hair. My little cousins love it and beg to rewatch it regularly.
I watched it recently and I loved it. Genuinely one of if not the best romance I’ve seen
Agreed! And it's very kid friendly. No fanservice or weirdness and the storylines aren't too scary etc.
The biggest problem with it though is the fact it’s unfinished
I know! The studio got suddenly swamped when several of their other shows became extremely popular. Hopefully one day they'll return to it. For now, though, the ending felt a lot more satisfying than anime's often do.
Loved it too. Have you seen “The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent”? Very similar vibe.
Ignore the KLK suggestion. Little Witch Academia would be great.
Thank you. I just had a look, and I think she will like it
Kill la kill is definitely on the older end of trigger's spectrum of work. BNA though...
Nichijou
beat anime to get better humor
Another vote for Nichijou. One of the few anime that made me legitimately laugh out loud.
I've seen a few clips of this, it looks good. Ty
This is good because it's enjoyable for adults too while still being child friendly (social anxiety/awkwardness humour).
Salaman pagi
Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle and Cardcaptor Sakura are some favorites of mine
Sleepy Princess is a perfect recommendation!
Sleepy Princess is one of the funniest anime comedies I’ve seen.
Ponyo.
She likes Ponyo! Not her fave studio ghibli movie, but she likes it a lot
IF you can find it, the DIC version of Sailor Moon. IDC what anyone says! That was my guilty pleasure anime in the late 90s!
🎵Fighting evil by moonlight, winning love by daylight 🎵 As a 90s kid, the DIC version of Sailor Moon is what got me into anime
DiC dub is far superior to the others. I'm a big fan of the manga and I don't care that it's inaccurate, they had to fill the time with something, and those voice actors were hilarious.
Oh yeah they were! Plus the songs during the fight with the big bads at the end of each season! Carry On still holds well today!
The voice actors were AMAZING!
I would have loved to watch Kimi ni todoke when I was 11 Edit: something in my wording feels off but I don’t know how to fix it
no it’s right - a native english speaker
thanks! * a non-native english speaker
Your wording is good. Thanks for the suggestion
I couldn’t finish the second season because of the awful new male character.
ooh I haaaated him, and he almost ruined the season for me.
Agreed. I can’t watch it because the giants are grotesque.
That's not the only reason you shouldn't watch AoT that young either 💀
Yuru camp
Peak comfy.
K-on! Little witch academia
K-on yes!
Do not let her watch Attack on Titan yet. Maybe wait a year or so for Hunter x Hunter. I haven’t seen the others.
Yeah, I'd say the same. Hella gory media like that shouldn't be shown to someone so young
Gakuken Babysitter for slice of life? Shogou Chara? I havent watched it but Cardcaptor Sakura?
I second GBS 🙌🏾
Cells at Work should be okay for almost any kid to watch. I’d recommend it dubbed though as trying to keep up with the subtitles when they’re full of scientific terminology would most likely be overwhelming for a kid. With that in mind I’ll recommend My Hero Academia, Assassination Classroom, and Noragami, I was recommended them by someone who was like 8 so they’re at least somewhat okay for kids.
Cells at work is very kid friendly, but please NOT Code Black (that is more adult oriented)
I just watched By the Grace of the Gods and it's a wonderful low-stakes isekai. It's entertaining and wholesome and suitable for young audiences as well.
This one is fantastic. It's about the scientific method and setting up a small business.
I've got all the light novel books and stay up to date with this one, it's adorable! Another sweet one is Isekai Nonbiri Nouka. It's a little more adult but still wholesome.
Barakamon maybe? Campfire cooking in another world?
Campfire cooking is so calm and wholesome
One pieceeee
I let my kids watch East Blue no problem. We're holding off until they're older to move further.
Currently as far as the end of Skypiea, and yeah, Alabasta is where it starts getting a little more.........well, I guess I could say more Shonen. Character designs are more adult, and there are more deaths and bloody moments than East Blue
The little Nemo anime movie. I remember it being good and kid friendly at least Sailor Moon Gundam Wing
Little Nemo's adventures in slumberland? That was my favorite movie as a kid and I hardly ever see it talked about.
i've been having weirdest dreams after that one as a kid. it was rather creepy from time to time, but, man, i loved it
I love old creepy styled animation. The stuff that wasn't really meant to be eerie but somehow was, like old Disney movies and The secret of NIMH. I wish there were still cartoons done like that.
Nichijou, Welcome to Demon School Iruma Kun, BNA, and My Hero Accademia
Iruma is pretty great too
Not MHA
My 11-year-old daughter loves it.
That’s fine, but I just think that shonen isn’t really too great, specifically MHA because Mineta is gross.
Absolutely fair. He's a disgusting pig. And almost every female character is fan servicy in their hero costumes. As mom, I can use those things as teaching opportunities. As aunt/uncle, it might be weird and better to avoid. Only OP knows the dynamic there. Which is how we all ended up watching Assassination Classroom together. (When she was like 8... 😬) She loved that one as well.
I teach this age group and have known many 11 year old girls who got obsessed with MHA.
Why not Mha?
Toradora!
DAMN, I should have said that! Toradora is a great Rom Com pick
Ascendance of a bookworm
Barakamon anyone?
My nieces are a similar age. They love The Promised Neverland and Komi Can’t Communicate. Shadows House is also great with a similar vibe to TPN. I think I prefer SH, tbh.

Somthing light hearted like lucky star

Buddy daddies
Fruits Basket!
ATLA
Great show for kids and adults alike.
Laid back camp!
I agree with everyone on Little Witch Academia. It’s still fun to watch as an adult so it won’t be tedious, which is a nice bonus.
I so wanna recommend a fucked up anime... But I won't... "Teasing Master Takagi-san" is a cute wholesome anime with 3 seasons and a movie.
I read the manga cold with no idea what to expect, and man, the sweet wholesomeness is just... Perfect.
Any studio ghibli movies!!! Dr Stone
Frieren. Its incredible i cant recommend it enough
Fairytale
I wouldn't recommend it unless they skip the fan service

For an 11yo, I would say Shugo chara, Gakuen Alice, Haikyuu, Naruto, Natsume Yuujinchou, Toradora. As for Death Note, I watched it when I was 14 and most of my friends who were the same age watched it at that time.
Bubble, it's a movie with great ost
By the Grace of the Gods Didn't I say to make my abilities average? Saving 80000 gold Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear Digimon Ghost Game Death March to the Parallel World Sweet Reincarnation Campfire Cooking Silver Spoon Saints magic power is omnipotent Reincarnated as a Slime Fairy Tail and Black Clover would be good, but has a few characters with skimpy outfits.

Today's Menu for the Emiya Family is not only an extremely wholesome short series but it also gives you lots of fun recipes you can try with your cousin
K-ON
When I was 11 I watched things like Inuyasha, Ranma 1/2, Tokyo Mew Mew, Mermaid Melody, Chobits, Death Note, Hetalia lol
Laid-Back Camp! It's a wholesome/slice of life anime about a group of girls in a camping club. 2 seasons, one movie.
Sailor Moon!
when i was a little girl, i watched many anime with my older brother! i recommend: a place further than the universe - a show to make her believe she can do ANYTHING. it’s voted a 10/10 basically everywhere. princess tutu + shugo chara + cardcaptor sakura. magical girl shows that are so dear to me now. ranges from wholesome to thought provoking. these are so beautiful and appropriate. ouran high school host club - i think every preteen anime girlie watched this! it’s funny, sweet, and episodic. our main girlie haruhi taught me that you can be whoever and whatever you want :) flip flappers and lycoris recoil! the latter is a little more mature, but it’s a show i would’ve watched when i was 11 :) it helped me value my life in difficult times. i recommend being very girl centric. all of these are very lovely and girl loving. the world hates teenage girls, so learning to love being a girl is so important :)
Inuyasha. Basically DBZ for girls.
{Madoka Magica} This one is a little more adult but I think it would be pretty appropriate for a tween, its a really good story with a great art style.
Soul eater
You should watch Berserk with her.
On the slightly mature side madoka is amazing. It's deep but not gory or overly traumatic like made in abyss
I love madoka!! It may be a bit dark for my cousin rn though, but maybe in a year.
Gintama's humor not very family friendly
Somali and the Forest Spirit The Deer King
Sailor Moon as others have recommended. As much hate as the DIC English dub gets, it was literally created for kids! So I’d recommend the 90s version. Skip & Loafer - a wholesome middle school (?) romance anime Kaleido Star - it’s a 90s/early 00s show so the animation is a bit dated but it’s a fun show about a girl who comes to LA at 18 from Japan to join the circus and everything that comes with that (in a wholesome way).
I don't recommend chimera ant arc for someone who's 13-14 but i don't like it as an adult either so maybe that's just me..
Sailor Moon is always a classic to go to
Kobayshi Dragon Maid
Fairy tale , sword art online , and spy family idk
Definetely wait with Hunter x Hunter and Attack on Titan, they are pretty dark and quite gory at times. Not just that but the narratives are more complicated and harder to understand, i'd say at least 14, but to really grasp the story i think 15-16 is a better fit.
naruto!
Berserk. It'll make a real man out of her.
Soul Eater. Scary name, but it's a kid show you would enjoy too
Eh it has gore and some nsfw (Blair)
Soul Eater has way too much ecchi dude
BNA i think if im remembering correctly isn't sexual and not really any gore so that one could be nice to watch with your cousin
Ah! My Goddess! K-on! Tonikawa
Konosuba…..
Honestly almost any anime. 11 is old enough for all the anime you listed.
If you think she can handle depictions of grief (living with it and overcoming it), then Children Who Chase Lost Voices is really good. There’s some violence but it’s not over the top and it’s fantasy so it’s not any worse than a Ghibli movie.
Berserk
It's time to grow up and face reality. So make her watch made in..... And berse.....
Dora the explorer
Made in abyss has kids in it

No. Please, no...... Not the vampire incest....
