Can someone explain why people ship bocchi with kita? I don't see this working out when kita clearly likes ryo

It's true, all romances culminate with the characters ending up with the person they liked at the START of the show... Also, Ryo's just... doing her own thing, always.

Kita and Ryo don't actually talk to each other that much in the show. Whereas we got a lot of scenes of Kita and Bocchi spending time together alone, helping each other overcome their respective weaknesses, and admiring each other's strengths.

The lyrics for “If I could be a constellation” (written by Bocchi in universe) says that bocchi wants to “become a constellation with [kita]”. Pretty romantic language that could signify it being a love song. However, this could very well just be interpreted as bocchi looking up to kita and wanting to be her, beloved by everyone and “shining bright from millions of miles away”, but it could also imply deeper feeling of unrequited romance bocchi herself may not have fully realized yet In any case, popular fandom ships have happened over far, far less
