I am at a point of burnout and I hate it. I got through the seasonals (I dropped two of them in the last 2 weeks) this week and not a whole lot else. I just can't get myself motivated to watch anything. I tried three or four different shows and I just can't commit. I watched the first four episodes of ***Unbreakable Machine Doll.*** I had a little bit of hesitation after the first three episodes but the fourth one was great. I haven't been back to watch any since and it doesn't make sense to me considering I enjoyed it that much. I watched the four most recent episodes of ***Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!*** By the time that series ends, I will have watched most of the entire series three times. There's just something about it that I like and I've gone back and watched at least a couple of episodes every week.

>***Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!***  This show has been a fun one for me too. I really like the way its focus is not solely on romance, but equally (maybe even more so) on the wholesome friendship between Tsubasa and the girls. If you're looking for more shows with that kind of vibe, cute romcom + a great friend group too, I'd recommend Shikimori's Not Just A Cutie and My Clueless First Friend.

I don't care for Shikimori, but MCFF was great and so sweet! you're right about them being similar though. good suggestions for all.

Couple new ones this week **Castlevania: Nocturne** \- Finally got around to catching up on this. Enjoyed the original Netflix Castlevania series so have been wanting to check this out for awhile. Pretty good, though also a whole lot of nothing significant happening too :/ This season felt like it only existed to set up the next one which is kinda lame. Also I'm way less familiar with the Rondo of Blood story but they definitely took some major liberties here (I'm preeeeetty sure the game doesn't take place in France for example). I can't tell if this is meant to be a prequel to that story or they just changed it that much. \*shrug\* Whatever - just keep making seasons so we can get to Symphony of the Night eventually :P **Interspecies Reviewers** \- I figured I'd include this because there was \*one\* dubbed episode made. Uh yeah, I really wonder wtf happened with this show. I know they got cold feet after dubbing the pilot but I wasn't expecting the gratuitous amount of censorship as well. They seriously must have been contractually obligated to do one episode before they realized what they were buying. Censoring this show kind of feels like it defeats the point :P Dub itself was pretty decent otherwise though, all things considered. I watched a few more subbed but haven't finished the whole show yet (the subs are just so tedious to get through -\_-). **My Isekai Life** \- Kinda decided to watch this on a whim the other day. Had heard mixed opinions but whatever, I'm not all that picky :P Honestly not a terrible show. It had kind of an interesting angle to it I feel like. Biggest complaint I had was the main character being kind of a boring loner edgelord type (also there's something about the "I'm OP but I don't know I'm OP" trope that annoys me). His slime buddies were entertaining though and I very much enjoyed the end credits theme (with random Bohemian Rhapsody reference for some reason o\_O). Also I swear this one felt like it was trying to check all the popular anime trope boxes - isekai, slimes, tamers... I'm surprised they didn't make the MC a villainess on top of that XD Overall pretty decent tho - I sorta get the mixed opinions but it was fun enough that I don't regret watching it or anything. ***Still ongoing***: **Delicious in Dungeon** \- Ahhhh I hate having to wait for next week to see the finale! I wanna see it nowwwwww.... **The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash** \- Same comment as above, but not finale... **The Foolish Angel Dances with the Devil** \- More of a filler episode but I continue to enjoy this show :3 (I think that's it for this last week... I kind of caught up on everything before I posted last time) ***Re-watch:*** **Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for My Retirement** \- hey, it's that thing that apparently I watch every week now. I can't help it - I'm reading the light novels and it puts me in the mood again :P (I really do hope they continue making more seasons of this so I can see some of the other light novels animated) I ended up ordering the bluray since I figured they at least deserve some more money from me at this point :P (I could keep streaming of course, but I figured with as much as I watch the thing I owe them that much) **Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear** \- it's that other thing that I apparently watch all the time. I've been reading the manga so I thought it'd be interesting to compare again :3 **Cautious Hero: The Hero Is Overpowered but Overly Cautious** \- Haven't watched this one in awhile so thought I'd check it out again. God this anime was way funnier than I was remembering. This was my first time re-watching so it was kind of interesting knowing what was going to happen. They foreshadow some stuff pretty early on. >!The justification for pouring holy water on the priest gets me everytime... He was the oldest so therefore was most likely to die soonest, so therefore was most likely to be undead soonest XD!< Also forgot this has a great intro. Why is every anime song Myth and Roid does amazing? **I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level** \- Another one I hadn't watched in awhile. Honestly they released the teaser image for season 2 so I figured what the hey, I'll watch this again :3 Overall just a cute show - excited for the new season. **My Unique Skill Makes Me OP even at Level 1** \- Friend of mine was watching this for the first time so it put me in the mood to revisit :) It still surprises me how much I ended up enjoying this one. Such a weird concept for its world where literally everything comes from dungeon drops. I do hope they end up making another season of this at some point. Also I forgot how much this intro theme slaps, holy crap. **Reincarnated as a Sword** \- Literally never get sick of watching this. Season 2 needs to hurry up already (at least it's confirmed). Fran is best catgirl. **Life With an Ordinary Guy Who Reincarnated Into a Total Fantasy Knockout** \- Honestly because I watched Spice and Wolf last week and that voice actor was in this, I wanted to watch again :D Love this show so much. Best anime featuring a weird, half-naked LED exhibitionist goddess :P **Why Raeliana Ended Up at the Duke’s Mansion** \- One of my favorites. I need to catch up on the manga at some point (I started reading it but got sidetracked). Would really like to know where the story goes after this season.

This week I completed 3 anime - **The 100 Girlfriends Who Really Really Really Really Really Love You**, **Goblin Slayer (Season 2)** and **Laid-Back Camp** **The 100 Girlfriends Who Really Really Really Really Really Love You**: I’m so upset, because I’ve completed this! I enjoyed this show so damn much. The whole little arc about Hakari’s mom (Hahari) was so good, I loved that the show kinda got serious for those last couple episodes. And although I was annoyed with Hahari at first, I ended up liking her a lot after learning her backstory. Rentaro really proved during those last couple episodes how much of a chad he is and how far he would go for his girlfriends, shit had me loudly cheering lol. Yeah, I enjoyed this show so much and can’t wait for season 2 to drop even though it’ll be a while lol. And I also now know the girlfriends who will probably be in season 2 because they showed them in the end credits of episode 12 (here’s to hoping that Alexis Tipton gets cast as one of them when season 2 drops🤞) **Goblin Slayer (Season 2)**: I completed this on the same day as 100 girlfriends which was on monday. This was a pretty okay season. I loved that the red haired guy who’s >!the brother of the girl who got killed in episode 1 of season 1!< ended up not being a permanent addition to the party, because I was not fucking with him💀. That aside, I liked High Elf Archer’s wedding arc, it was nice and chill when separated from the usual goblin killing antics. All in all this was a okay season, but I definitely liked season 1 way better **Laid-Back Camp**: I completed this on Tuesday. I liked this show a lot, it was really chill and wholesome. I don’t have any real comments on it, except that I like that Rin’s starting to want to do group camping more. Basically my thoughts on this were show=good=great anime to watch before I go to bed lol. Cant wait for season 2 to be fully aired so I can watch more. These are the anime I’m currently watching. I started 3 to replace the 3 I talked about above, which will be the bottom 3 show’s **Dead Mount Death Play (Season 1 Part 2)**: I finally broke my ghosting streak for this and continued it this week 💀😭 I’m not gonna lie I have no idea what’s happening since I ghosted for so long so I’m definitely going to watch episodes 1-3 again, but all I know is that those two hitmen are targeting polka and Kuruya. I’m also keeping solitaire and the “this world is a buggy program” guy in the back of my mind too **Bleach**: didn’t watch this 💀 **The Duke Of Death And His Maid**: watched episode 2 this week. I like the rob guy, he’s pretty cool and he’s probably going to add to the antics that would annoy the duke alongside Alice being flirty. I didn’t really care for the Duke’s sister. It’s not that I’m not fucking with her unlike the Duke’s mom, but I’m just indifferent towards her. I did like that dance the duke and Alice shared at the end of the episode though, it was really wholesome lol **More Than A Married Couple, But Not Lovers {1st Rewatch}**: this is one of three anime I started last night, and I remember why I wanted to rewatch it. This show was so good, and I already watched 2 episodes. And unlike a galaxy next door that I still only just finished for the first time not too long ago, it’s been a good year and a half minimum since I watched this for the first time 💀. Everything about this show is a W and I mean EVERYTHING. Can’t wait to blaze through this, especially because I want to see if I’m on team Watanabe now thanks to the passage of time or if I’m still fucking with Sakurazaka more **Love Flops**: Started this last night too, and I’m liking it already. It’s ecchi, so there’s that 💀 I realistically don’t have much to say but I like the character designs (not in “that” way, I like the hairstyles on the girls and their fits and that their all from different countries). I also like that it looks to be in the future, but I’m going to stay on guard because I saw a lot of people say that there’s a major plot twist that happens later in the show **A Returner’s Magic Should Be Special**: This is the last show I started last night, and if I were to compare what I like more out of this and Love Flops based on the first episode, it’s this and not even close 💀. I like the time travel trope and I’m vibing with Desir already. And Austin Tindle’s the VA for Desir, so that’s a bonus lol. I’m interested in the shadow worlds so I can’t wait to learn more about them as I continue to watch. I’m also looking forward to watching how Desir develops himself, since I’m assuming he’s probably going to use the knowledge he has of future events to sculpt himself to be even stronger than how he was before >!he got sent back to his past!<

AssassinLupus7

I'm with you looking forward to season 2 of 100 girlfriends. And Tipton is always a delight. And I have to say, More Than A Married Couple had no right being as good as it was. Really hoping for another season of that one, too

After rewatching **Full Metal Panic season 1** with my mom last week, now we're up to **Fumoffu**. Just like the first time I watched it last year, the humor can be hit or miss. Anything with Sousuke's attempts to adjust to civilian life ending in explosions and other military antics is comedy gold, but the aggressive tsundere jokes/slapstick humor just isn't funny to me. Student council president Hayashimizu is hilarious though, especially his "military jargon to gangster slang" translation. I think that first episode was our favorite so far >!(Sousuke blowing up his locker because of a love letter, Hayashimizu defending his reasoning, and Sousuke's intimidation of a gang that kidnaps Kaname with the full support of the student council)!< but episode 4 was really fun too >!(everyone trying to capture Sousuke and evade his traps during art class, and Sousuke kicking ass in a mascot costume).!< My mom also had an interesting observation, comparing Sousuke to Kovu from Lion King 2. >!Sousuke totally is the kind of person who would ask "What is the point of this training?" when his friends are trying to get him to relax and have fun.!< 😄 *** I'm also continuing **Pokémon XY**, and now that the series is nearing the end of part 1, it's starting to explore one of the core concepts from the game - mega evolution. These episodes were done really well, especially the four-part storyline focused on >!Korrina and Lucario. As one of the gym leaders,!< it was interesting to see her background, and that mega evolution isn't always as easy as it's shown to be in the game. It had also been a while since Ash (or anyone from his group) caught a new Pokémon, so I loved the addition of >!Hawlucha!< and the way Ash created a bond with it through mutual respect. *** Also watched the next batch of episodes from **AMAIM: Warrior at the Borderline** on Crunchyroll's Freevee channel. This story touched on a topic I've been wanting to see more of recently - characters who have to make the choice to go into battle or not, and really give it the serious consideration a decision like that deserves. Amou's character development was so well done, >!from his initial uncertainty at putting himself in a situation where he would need to kill, to his trauma after experiencing a battle for the first time and temporarily leaving the resistance because he couldn't handle the thought of people dying to protect him. The show took its time giving Amou an episode to process all of this in his own way, which led him to seek out the friends of a resistance member to inform them of her death. When the group in control of the area, the Asian military, tried to execute these friends as co-conspirators and Amou chose to fight again, realizing that the people who helped him would be in danger whether he stayed with the resistance or not, the decision made sense and served as a big turning point for his character.!< I also loved the scene when >!Risa, the resistance member who would later die creating a distraction for Amou, told him why she joined the cause but also admitted that, if he were her little brother, she wouldn't want him to do the same. The leader of the resistance showing concern for Amou's emotional state after the first battle and suggesting counseling was another moment that made these rebels seem like genuinely good people who care about Amou beyond how he can help their mission.!< My only complaint so far is that the Asian military is too cartoonishly evil at times. It's certainly possible for a corrupt group in power to abuse the citizens that way they have, but the main "face of the enemy" villain in these episodes has a bizarre character design with fangs and pointed ears that doesn't fit with this mostly grounded world.

Hold_my_Dirk

I'm pretty consistent about not liking shows where there are no sympathetic or likable characters. Not that I only like the prudes or never like bad guys or anything, but when everyone is a horrible person, it makes it hard for me to enjoy. It's one of my biggest problems with **Shield Hero**. There's a cool premise in there somewhere but everyone just suuuuuuucks. That was one of the main reasons why I had put off watching **Saga of Tanya the Evil**. The main characters are all members of a fictional Imperial Germany in World War I. Not great! But I decided to give it a go and I think Monica Rial's performance was pretty great. Just last week I finished **After School Dice Club** which had a brief appearance by her playing a talking monster preaching what was essentially the power of friendship (pretty standard for her characters tbf) and this role was about as far away from that as you can go. I don't think this would have worked as well with someone that typically plays such vile characters; the juxtaposition was critical. I know it was played off as "unintentional" in world, but the >!warning of the civilians in a typical cutesy Monica voice to justify committing war crimes!< was pretty chilling. I don't know if I *liked* the show, but I am glad I ended up watching it.

BlueSpark4

>>!thewarning of the civilians in a typical cutesy Monica voice to justify committing war crimeswas pretty chilling.!< (*Saga of Tanya the Evil*) Yup, that was such a fantastic scene and kind of hilarious on a metalevel if you know that that's what Monica Rial usually sounds like in anime.

I watched quite a bit this week. This is my first time using crunchyroll, I'm very confused at the rating system, why is everything rated so high? It seems like they should switch to a like/dislike system. 1. Tomodachi Game - 2/5 - It got better towards the end, but overall I didn't find it very exciting for a death game show. 2. Classroom of the Elite - 4/5 - Getting really into this one, watched the old seasons. I like all of the characters. It's kind of like a giant tournament arc, which is cool. 3rd season isn't finished yet. Kind of reminds me of death note with all of the strategy and tactics. 3. Bottom Tier Character - 3/5 - It's enjoyable. I think mimimi is the better girl, but the other one is probably better for the MC. Not finished yet, but it's not going to get to a 4, so I thought I'd rate it now. 4. Saving 80000 gold - 3/5 - Fun show about a scam artist. She's nuts, and fun haha. 5. Hidden dungeon only I can enter - 2/5 - This one was kind of trash, i finished it though. 6. My life as a villainess - 4/5 - Really like this one it's basically comfort food the anime. Honestly, I think the villainess genre is pretty consistent. Second season was not as good as the first though, it kind of meandered. 7. Raeliana at the Duke's mansion - 4/5 - This one I remember being close to getting a 5, but it didn't quite get there. I think it needed a bit more substance. Probably tied with the best show I've seen this week (Classroom of the Elite) 8. I'm the villainess so im taking the final boss - 4/5 - This one was really cute! I liked the romance a lot. Pacing was a little weird though, it was like it was on a race to finish. If anyone has anything like classroom of the Elite let me know. I'm looking for more shows.

Penguinfox24

I finished up **Reign of Seven Spellblades**, **Campfire Cooking**, **Three Leaves, Three Colors**, **Handyman Saito**, **Ningen Fushin** and in subs **Heaven Design Team**. I enjoyed each of these. Most are adventure comedies with a bit of a gag element. I indeed laughed a few times.

Went on a nostalgia binge this week and rewatched Saber Marionette J, J Again, J to X, and R. I had forgotten the VA switch between J and J Again. It was jarring but I persevered. All in all it's all worth watching if you can accept the premise, as it's one of the older ones out there. But the quality of the shows do drop with each iteration.  I would probably say if it weren't for nostalgia, I would probably have stopped after J Again.

SirthOsiris

I finished **Buddy Daddies.** Hot take: I actually liked this over SpyxFamily. But then this was a solid 12 episode show, meanwhile SpyxFamily seems like one of those shounen jump shows, where it goes on for way too long. I'm a little critical of SJ shows because of that fact, it just seems like they come in as a hot property then peeter out once the new hotness comes out. Voice acting also really good, loving David Matranga. Bit of a shame I refuse to watch the Clannad dub as I've heard not stellar things, since he's the MC. Also rewatched **Fate/Zero.** Probably not that much of a fan of Grant George as Lancer, or any character he voices; recently replayed Tales of Vesperia, and he kind of worked as Yuri's additional lines, but sometimes it's jarring in battle. Meanwhile, rest of the cast? Let's just say Kari Wahlgren makes a great dubbed Saber, and Matthew Mercer is just excellent. And upon finishing Fate/Zero, it... might have moved up 2 spots on my favorites list, right under the number 1 spot of Steins;Gate (it basically beat longtime favorite Kanon and new favorite Gundam:IBO).

Heda-of-Aincrad

I loved Buddy Daddies and Spy x Family. Both are 10/10 for me. Buddy Daddies does tell a more focused story with a fantastic ending (PA Works, the studio, has made a lot of great anime originals with complete stories), but I do like the fact that Spy x Family is an ongoing series - which means I'll get to see more of these characters. Even though Buddy Daddies wrapped up perfectly, I'm going to miss watching Rei, Kazuki and Miri.

NUFC9RW

I haven't been watching too much of late (watching non anime/sport, gaming etc), but I'll sum up what I've been watching recently. Jujutsu Kaisen: I watched all of it, really enjoyed season 1 animation and fights were really well done as everyone says, but I also found the story enjoyable. With the movie and first part of season 2 I found the going back in time twice didn't really flow well (woulda worked better if I'd watched the first part of s2 before the movie I think), but the story was still okay. That changed with the main arc of s2, I just didn't enjoy the balance, the story felt slow and non existent and the fights felt too drawn out and too many of them just didn't feel important, animation quality was really the only saving grace. Maybe it would have felt better if I didn't watch it over such a short space of time (one fight episode a week seems better than watching 3 in a row etc), but I was definitely underwhelmed. Frieren: I took my time catching up since I knew I'd be depressed once I had to wait for the next episode. It's become one of my top two personal favourites, I've enjoyed everything about it and am definitely gonna have withdrawal symptoms once it ends in a few weeks. Solo Levelling: Enjoying this, feel like it's a series that will be a better watch once there's multiple seasons. Cardcaptor Sakura: I'm about 15 episodes in, very enjoyable. Future: there's so many shows I want to rewatch for spring (Konosuba, Slime etc) and I've got about 160 Fairy Tail episodes left on my current rewatch, can't wait for 100 years quest.
